riddle me dee - question 2
How long before we hear the exact same words from George Fraser...? :024:

Do you want to see Marius in an ICT shirt next season?
This is fantastic..... I love these Marius threads....!!! There's not nearly enough of them... :018:

Anyone interested in David Sutherland apparently saying the club can't afford his wages..?

I might not be on here for a few weeks as I'll be busy checking out CD's posts over the last 3 years... :023:

ONE LAST MARIUS DIG
What's all that got to do with Marius...?
-
Statement - Orion Group
He's saying the same thing in the Courier claming that : "Niculae's wages have been factored into the budget for next season" According to the article this statement quashes the rumours they cannot afford to keep the Romanian.... I'd be happy if the above was true... They should not consider a single offer for Marius until after the Euros, when his value is bound to rise... With any luck the club may then receive an offer they simply can't refuse.

Exactly... It's time we had people in control with ICT's interests at heart... Not their own feckin egos...

Good post, Scarlet... agree with all of that... :022: It would surely have made more sense to announce that Marius is available for transfer AFTER the forthcoming Euros, which could see his value rise dramatically..

ONE LAST MARIUS DIG
I haven't started yet.....

ONE LAST MARIUS DIG
Unfortunately just when he's really begun to make a major contribution to the team he, thanks to the crass incompetence of the board, he is now going to be forced to move on.... :020:

George Fraser is new chairman...
Does anyone on here seriously believe that just because a certain board member has now been elevated to the post of chairman, the supporters, and the media, will now switch their attention to what's happening on the field..?
-
George Fraser is new chairman...
Is that a wind up..? He didn't say anything.... :024:

George Fraser is new chairman...
Kind of stammered and stuttered when asked how Marius's wages were paid.... Shame too that Charles didn't ask whether there was any likelyhood of Marius remaining at ICT... Or did he have to agree not to ask that question...?
-
George Fraser is new chairman...
No mention of Marius in that statement.... Presumably it'll be right to assume he will now be transfer listed...

TWISTED OR WHAT
I will admit I was very sceptical about the signing of Marius - especially with regard to driving a horse and cart through the club's tight pay structure. His early form didn't do much to convince me his signing was going to be worthwhile... That was obviously down to lack of match practice, and his overall fitness. His true class is now there for all to see, in abundance, and we should strive to keep him here... I'm sick of reading daily jibes on here as to the obstacles we are up against in attracting top drawer players to a "dump" like Inverness... If it's good enough for Marius, and he's happy to be here, it should be good enough for anyone, if we can keep him here it might just persuade others that this isn't such a bad part of the world in which to live and work... MARIUS MUST STAY

TWISTED OR WHAT
I agree CC was keen enough to get Marius signed, but believe he was concerned about the effect his salary might have on the rest of the squad. This is why it was all dressed up and we (players included) were led to believe that Orion was paying his wages. One wonders what on earth Marius is making of all this..... :024: Stevico..?

Statement - Orion Group
Agree with all of that... He was certainly choosing his words very carefully throughout that interview, and you can't blame him for that... I suspect (and hope) he is re-considering his decision not to be involved again as chairman...

David Sutherland is the man
Strange comment..... Quote : The next chairman.... Whoever he is.... :024:

Brewsters Last Game??
Oh he loves him really.... He confessed to me over a pint one night, that he was thrilled to bits with the professional manner in which he was appointed, and the manner in which he rose rapidly above all the many other outstanding candidates who had applied for the job...

TWISTED OR WHAT
It's a pathetic blo0dy mess.... Off the top of my head I could name half a dozen of this site's regular posters who could administer this club's affairs in a fashion that the present board could only ever dream about.... In fact I feel a project coming on..... :024:

Brewsters Last Game??
I thought he'd already announced his retirement from the playing side... As far as I'm concerned he went out on a high with that winning goal in stoppage time against the Jambos... That's how we should remember Brew the player... :022:

Again it's all down to interpretation. If AS/Orion purchased shares in the club with the intention of making funds available to fund Niculaes wage....then it's conceivable that the club have already got enough from the deal to cover 2 years wages. It's all very murky is it not...? Is it not fair to say then, that thanks to Alan Savage's Orion Group, Niculae can remain with us for the remainder of his contract..? That doesn't appear to be Mr Savage's interpretation now...

Maybe he should be considering raising an action against the BBC in that case... Somehow... I don't think he will.
