Black at it again
What... No boots or teacups flying around...? Very disappointing... :007:
-
Would you
Right enough - that's a much better analogy.... :015:
-
Would you
You're getting too old to be pursueing that George Best type lifestyle... and just remember what happened to him.. :018: I could see the strain was beginning to tell on you, around Saturday lunchtime... :017:

Black at it again
Had he not suffered a problem with a recurring shoulder injury, I suspect he would have been playing on a regular basis and would have helped us win a few more matches.... Wonder who he would have left out..... :023:

Black at it again
Thanks Gillian.... Somehow I prefer your version of Saturday's events, to some of the others on this thread.... :022: Also.... Your comment regarding Brew's "after the game" talk.... Very interesting... :024:

What went wrong..?
Cowie arrived here like a breath of fresh air... he had a spirit and enthusiasm about him which gave the whole team a much needed boost. Unfortunately his past few matches have seen him descend to nothing more than just an average player. Where did that spirit go....? Did someone remove it..?
-
What went wrong..?
It doesn't, actually. In fact it pains me deeply... :009:

Interesting New Employee......
What have Orion employed him as, Reliably_informed..? We don't get too many Reliably Informed posters on here.... :023:

What went wrong..?
We've been through all this before.... all the hype surrounding his signing coupled with ludicrous predictions for what he might achieve and/or help Caley achieve, and our chairman's magnanamous gesture in agreeing to subsidise his substantial pay demands. It has all combined to ensure that his every touch is scrutinised much more so than anyone else in the team. It is unfortunate - his overall fitness and stamina has definitely improved since he came here, but he still lacks a certain sharpness. He's a usefull player and has demonstrated that he does have considerable skill. His class showed with the goal he scored against Celtic on Wednesday. But.... At the end of the day he has not proved to be the answer to our hopes and dreams, and there is the added complication as to the effect his pay requirements have had on the rest of the team.

The Ian Black Appreciation Thread
He's just that kind of a guy... I don't think the ocassional temper tantrums are a matter of major importance, or even concern... He hasn't been so bad this season, so the chances are he's growing out of it. As Hielandee once famously said... "Better to have someone like that on the inside p1ssing out, than on the outside piss1ng in..!!

1 win this year!!
Hope that doesn't trigger off another managerial merry-go-round.... I'd hate to see Blobby coming here.... :crazy07:

What went wrong..?
I think it's because certain posters persist in bringing into every discussion on the forum. But why do they persist in doing that...?
-
What went wrong..?
I had to run to the toilet every time Nade took off with the ball at his feet..... I'll bet our back four & our keeper were wishing they could have joined me... :018:
-
What went wrong..?
Yes... It's one topic that just won't go away.... But why is this...?
-
What went wrong..?
It's an interesting debate, Caley100.... I genuinely believe if Nade had been playing for us yesterday, and Niculae playing for them - We would have won... I don't accept Marius is cr@p because of the lack of quality around him...
-
Man of the Match
Yup, undoubtedly the best player on the field yesterday. There was danger every time he got hold of the ball. :007: Would Hearts do a straight swap with us for Niculae...? :024:
-
What went wrong..?
Maybe it's the highland air.... :024:
-
What went wrong..?
For me the biggest difference between Hearts and ourselves was Christian Nade.... He is a player who can, almost single-handedly, win games for his team - as he showed yesterday. Had we signed a player of his calibre instead of Niculae, I doubt if anyone have grudged paying him considerably more than any of the other players.
-
Man of the Match
He wasn't even on the bench today.... Is he injured..?
-
Black at it again
That's just the kind of guy he is is.... I would rather have him on our side too.... I heard that Stephen Frail sent a Portuguse player back home to Portugal, after he reacted in a similar way, when he was subbed against Rangers.

BOTTOM SIX TEAMS
Think of the win bonuses that could be picked up there.... :014: Especially if you take Hearts out the equation.... :rolleyes02:

What went wrong..?
Today was just about the most comprehensive defeat I've ever seen Caley suffer. Out-played, out-paced, out-thought.. Every single paper this morning predicted a home win for this fixture. Why did we fail so badly..? Was it down to.... Team selection..? Tactics..? Two many (collectively) running into a poor spell of form. Two many poor individual performances..? Are our players as a team unhappy about something..? Are certain members of our playing staff lacking in basic footballing skills Did we meet a Hearts team who have suddeny discovered they have a couple of decent playes there...? Did blo0dy awful referreeing play a significant part..?

Hearts Game
Yes.... a very perceptive obversation there, Kencar....
