  1. Alex.... Dangerous or not... Do you think a significant percentage of the population in the greater Sneckie area, or even visitors to this area, derives any benefit from these signs? Do you think the cost of erecting them, after paying a huge salary to someone who has gone to the trouble of translating the place names around here which we are all familiar with, is justified and worthwhile?
  2. It might not be pretty to watch but the important thing now is that under Butcher we've become a hard side to beat again... 3 points next week should see us virtually safe.
  3. I wasn't at the game today, but I suspect nerves probably played a big part in the poor performances... Sounds to me like they actually put up a better show last week against Falkirk with 10 men... Great 3 points though.... Sets us up nicely for the big one next Saturday..
  4. Just carrying out a little more research into this "malarky" I chanced upon this news item from a few months back.. It's a feckin obscenity
  5. Are you, by any chance a gaelic speaker Dam?

    Killie Game

I hope we do stuff Killie, but this wee team of ours have an awful habit of doing the exact opposite of they'd be expected to do.
  7. The bottomless pit of money always readily available for bilingual signage annoys me a lot. How come there's never any money for anything else - such as general improvements for our roads? I'd say these signs are downright bl0ody dangerous - even more dangerous than talking on a mobile phone as you drive. I imagine CTO represents a fair cross section of our community. It might be interesting if someone could set up a poll to see how much support or interest there is for the promoting this "dead" language in our local area. Let's see democracy in action!!
  8. I'd love him to stay but can we offer him anything close to what Hearts will be paying him?
  9. I thought we totally out-played Falkirk yesterday - even with 10 men - In fact for me it was one of our best performances of the season.. Falkirk were crap and were handed an unlikely victory thanks to an inept refereeing performance. I've got no fears for the 21st.... although we did take a good support to the Hamilton game which didn't do us much good...

    Djebi-zadi

Take it all with a pinch of salt Lizi dear.... Sadly he knows very little about football, but happily he just happens to be the funniest poster on here...
  11. Barr put his face right up against Duncans.... Maybe it was his oral hygeine problem that sent Russel crashing to the ground...

Good to see sexism is alive and well....
  13. Make sure you've plenty of sick bags in your car Naelifts!

    Djebi-zadi

Agreed.... There's a lot of it about....
  16. I'd say Finnegan "cheated" by going down very easily in the box. He gained not only a penalty kick for his side - but also got a "fellow professional" sent off for little or next to nothing. Events such as these that unfolded yesterday have been part and parcel of the game for 100 years or more - I for one suspect they always will be.
  17. Lionel got suckered into that one Mannie... Even you could have stayed on your feet after a "challenge" like that!!

    Djebi-zadi

    Great post - Totally agree...
  19. Finnegan went down very easily to get not only a penalty - but to get Lionel sent off at the same time... It was a feckin awful decision....Duncan must have felt as frustrated about it as I did.. he was only trying to even up the numbers... It is part of football FFS... it has been for a long time now, and it probably always will be... The first thing you have to learn as striker is that if someone makes the slightest contact with you in the box then down you have to go... And while we're on the subject of cheating... Let's not forget one of the finest goals ever scored in the history of the game... Diego Maradonna outwitting Butcher and Shilton and England with the "Hand of God".. :thumb04:
  20. Come on now Bob.... Credit where credits due.... He's done half of what he set out to ..... He abolished Boom!!

    Djebi-zadi

You could name any of our alleged strikers who couldn't put the ball in the net.... It's supposed to be a team game. At worst Djebi-zadi gave away a penalty yesterday... There is no way he should have been sent off... It's a crazy feckin rule that anyway and it's ruined many a game over the years... Awarding a penalty should be sufficient punishment for conceeding a foul in the box...
  22. Barr approched Russel in an extremely threatening and menacing manner... I didn't think he was about to ask him for his autograph... If someone had come after me like that I would have been inclined to feign death or injury also.
  23. Interesting... Are you taking any additional prescribed medication such as tablets to control your blood/glucose levels?
  24. Quite well...?????? A top six finish would be a realistic target for them right now... Falkirk, St Mirren and Kilmarnock are our main concerns....
