Cracking Christmas Presents
The return of Darren Dods.... Think about it.... Brewster was glad to get asked back here.... :023:

Can Scotland do it...?
Nice to have a weekend away from ICT and all its problems.... Do Scotland have a realistic chance on Saturday or will it end in a glorious defeat - 90 mins of solid pressure with the Scots hitting the woodwork on several occasions and denied a couple of stonewall penalties... only for Italy to score after a Craig Gordon fumble during one of Italy's few attacks....? I think they'll make it... Who would have given them a cat in ****'s chance of beating the frogs home & away..? Predictions and scores here please.....

Is Brew still the right man for the job?
I was just about to post something to that effect, only I'd give him at least the rest of this season in the job....

Was Blackie Injured?
So Wilson was playing on the left because........ Beggared if I know... :024:

rememberance day
What does that make Tony Blair..?

Was Blackie Injured?
I disagree.... He obviously thought Bazza was capable of going down the right flank, getting the better of their left back, and putting in some decent crosses... Blackie was getting bogged down and crowded out in the middle. Of course it all went tits up with the red cards..... :029:

Was Blackie Injured?
According to CB quoted in today's Courier... Blackie was subbed at half time - it was felt more width provided by Bazza might have been beneficial... You gotta have a wee bit of sympathy with Brew here.... He gets castigated week in, week out for leaving his substitutions too late. So on Saturday he hooks Blackie at half time, who responds by chucking his toys out the pram.... :crazy07:

Marius Niculae
I would have said this has been a very interesting debate, now approaching ten pages - it's certainly not been a continued campaign against Marius.... Many of the contributions on here on both sides of the arguement have been very constructive... Unfortunately Marius will always be subject to extra scrutiny by both the media and supporters because of the money he is on, and that fact probably isn't doing him any favours. The majority of supporters recognise that Marius is a special talent, although many have commented on his lack of sharpness - maybe his skills aren't best suited to the cut and thrust of the SPL - ... Whatever... If I was asked to compile a mid-term report on him thus far it would read - " Very talented player- but must try harder...."

Is Brew still the right man for the job?
100% yes from me too.... :022: But... He'll have to get us better than an 11th place finish at the end of the season.... :018:

Marius Niculae
You're right about IHE - sad man - sad life... :007: BUT... Given that Marius successfully (or someone did) negotiate a wage for himself three times the going rate at this club, aren't we entitled to expect something a wee bit special from him - even just ocassionally...? With all the hype that came along with his signing I was confidently expecting some kind of cross between James McFadden and Kenny Dalglish.... :024:
-
Brewster
Agreed.... I didn't think it was the smartest thing he's done since he came back here.... :024:
-
Marius Niculae
Not me - He's scored only 6 goals since season 05/06 and two of these were against Arbroath... :023:

AVOIDING RELEGATION
For me, the loss of Brewster the player has been a major setback... We can debate his managerial strengths and weaknesses all day long - I've been watching the guy as a player ever since he signed for Dunfermline - apart from his obvious skill and ability to read a game - he is a superb motivator of those around him (when playing) Thing will get better once he has learned how to transfer that aspect of his game to the dressing room & dugout - not just on the field -
-
AVOIDING RELEGATION
I had Niculae/Wyness in the Team for Motherwell thread... I think he should be on from the start in every match we play - hopefully his fitness might improve, and hopefully, at some stage he will demonstrate that he is worth at least some of his inflated salary... I'm not suggesting that yesterday's shambles is entirely due to that one factor - but something is clearly going badly wrong - What do you think is the root cause of the problem?
-
AVOIDING RELEGATION
I don't think anyone could deny that such a thing would perhaps play on the minds of some players, it could even be the root cause of these issues. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

mr t...crazy fool
If it had been a punch McGarry would have been stretchered off in a coma....
-
AVOIDING RELEGATION
Could the unrest in the current squad be connected in any way with the fact that one of their members is currently earning at least 3 times what the others are?

scotland v italy - the movie....
What happened to your kilt at the Ukraine game..? :crazy05:

Marius Niculae
Posted something that didn't make any sense...? :024:

The 2nd Motherwell Goal
I've just watched it again on Setanta... The first shot did hit the Motherwell player who was standing right in front of Fraser, which prevented him getting anywhere near the ball.... The second shot went in with the same 'Well player still in the same position... Not only was he interfering with play - he was miles offside.... For some reason Setanta didn't make anything of the incident at all.... :024:

Something is wrong ?
When IHE started this thread, CC was in charge of the team... When he left, Grassa and Savage assured us that Brewster was the players' choice to replace him. Unfortunately the boost the team undoubtedly experienced on Brew's re-appointment has been very short lived.... Where do Grassa and Savage go from here...? Something clearly is wrong - When and how will it be addressed...?
-
Brewster
Looks like there's a good chance that ICT will finish second bottom of the SPL. Will the management turn round and tell us we've done well to survive yet another season in this league, and that we've actually been punching way above our weight the past couple of seasons.? I say a second bottom finish is totally unacceptable..... :020:
-
Positives from today
Even CC had become adept at hooking Blackie when he looked like he was about to be sent off....
-
rememberance day
A lot of our guys have died in Iraq and Afghanistan thanks to G.W Bush's America and our former PM, Tony Blair... PLEASE.... Let's not forget them...
-
Brewster
I've said elsewhere that Brewster's main contributions to ICT has always been when he's on the pitch... If, as has been suggested that because of his injury, he is unlikely to make any further contributions as a player, his managerial skills are going to have to improve very quickly... I'm not sure that having Donald as his Number 2 - someone he didn't appoint - is helpful in this situation. That said - I hope the support will still stay behind him for at least the rest of this season....
