ICT -V- St Mirren : Matchday Thread
Agree with your comments (CaleyD) re the midfield... I thought Black was missed today.... and not even on the bench. Shouldn't we be told why? He looked to be fully fit and in good form playing in the reserves during the week.

Michael Fraser
Maybe it's a race issue.... Is it because young Michael comes from Drumnadrochit..? :024:
-
Michael Fraser
Absolutely pathetic - the stewards should be instructed to eject these moronic idiots.

Booing of McAllister
Michael was booed only after he flicked the V's at the home support for a slight murmur of disapproval at an appalling kickout. He thoroughly deserved to be booed - and should be made to apologise to the support. (I must have missed the excellent handling bit). You're supposed to boo the opposition's keeper... not your own guy.... Fraser's handling today was excellent - Did you not notice the fact he kept a clean sheet and that we won the feckin game.... Or did you only notice him giving the boo boys no more than they feckin deserved.
-
Booing of McAllister
Agreed - and the same could be said for those who booed Michael Fraser - also a young player - who kept a clean sheet today thanks to some excellent handling....

I just don't begin to understand how you can describe today's performance as p1sh.... :024: We won the feckin game against quite a decent side.... :018:

Brewster Can Go
Hopefully we haven't seen the last of Brewster as a player.... St Midden's best player today was 42 year old Andy Millen....

ICT -V- St Mirren : Matchday Thread
It wasn't a bad game - despite driving wind, rain and snow about every 15 mins - At least the defence did look more secure than before - Fraser's handling was good - but they did get a few breaks - classic header from McGuire against his own post..!! Plenty of effort from Marius today - but still doesn't look anything special - Well deserved goal from Cowie - deserved his MOM... Three very welcome points - Hope the Jambos have a good game tomorrow....

Rankin Can Go
Ralphie... You and I have had conversations on here before about Brew being here for the long haul and prepared to make and take unpopular decisions. Going by the many comments regarding Rankin on this site - not just on this thread - I'd guess about 80% of the support (who've seen much more of him than Brew has) rate him highly and see him as a player of considerable potential. Don't you think that at the very least, Brewster should give him a chance..? Ps... I sincerely hope Brew will be here for the long term and hope he turns ICT's fortunes round.... but to get rid of Rankin now would be a big mistake.

ICT v St Mirren- PREVIEW
Andrew... I always enjoy reading your reviews and previews... Not sure though if you should be listing Craig Dargo as a "player to watch" tomorrow..!!

Saturdays game
Very pleased to see Vigurs, Black and Rankin there... but that BBC website very often gets things wrong...
-
Saturdays game
Proctor didn't impress me at right back for the reserves midweek..... Still..... Hope springs eternal -
-
Souness for Scotland job..?
Well ... If he goes I hope Roy Aitken gets a chance.... A much better choice than Jordan, or Jeffries.... Don't think they can afford Davie Moyes....
-
Saturdays game
Why not..? Well not having Tokely, Bayne, probably no Black and probably no Rankin certainly won't help much.... :rolleyes02:

Brewster's midweek thoughts
I watched the reserves against Rangers reserves on Setanta... Very enlightening... Although they lost 4-2, Black and Rankin both put in a good shift... The guy who impressed most was Ian Vigurs at left back opposing Chris Burke... He was excellent - what does he have to do to break into the first team..? Up front, Rory showed a few decent touches - none of which led anywhere... He was subbed late on by Jack who scored with an excellent header from a Richie Hart cross....

Rankin Can Go
Wasn't Hissy a wee bit young for you, Mee...? :024:

Brewster's midweek thoughts
No why..? Have you got concussion or something..?

Steve McLaren : Big Eck
2nd last surprised me.... :024:

Steve McLaren : Big Eck
I agree with you Roscoe23 - Scotland has come a long way in a relatively short time... They did really well to get so close to qualification in a very tough group... I was just making the point that a 3rd place finish is regarded as a success in one camp and utter failure in another... I'm happy with Big Eck in charge and hope he continues to take Scotland forward... Regarding "best since Jock Stein" - Walter Smith would come close - whether as manager of club or country....
-
Steve McLaren : Big Eck
At least they've recognised and accepted failure down in Engandshire - their underperforming, overpaid superstars have been suitably castigated and now Stevie boy's out on his ear.... Meanwhile here in Caledonia, after defeat at home by Italy, our lads do a lap of honour, and Big Eck's hailed as the greatest manager we've had since Jock Stein... :024:
