  1. Err.... How about coming on to this site masquerading as supporters, and trying to convince everyone that they are doing a great job..... :023:
  2. Would it be fair to suggest a section of our support will not exactly be overjoyed to see Mr Brewster holding a Caley scarf aloft... :symbol_question: Will he say that Caley was always the only club he ever wanted to play for... :symbol_question:
  3. My name and/or identity are no big secret - there are several regular posters on here who know who I am, and where I live.... The point is - I'm just a supporter of ICT - the contribution at the top of this thread from "iloveeidurgudjohnsen" obviously comes from someone on the board of directors.... someone with some say in the running of the club... If he believes what he says, why can't he put his name to that contribution, instead of hiding behind the mask of a pseudonym. John Reid
  4. I have to keep reminding myself if it hadn't been for Brewster I would probably never have become a supporter of ICT... I had lived in Dunfermline for twenty odd years before I relocated to Sneck.... I was never really a dyed in the wool pars man, but as I lived within an easy 10 minute walk from East End Park, I was a fairly frequent attender... When Brewster signed for Dunfermline in 2002 he brought a breath of fresh air to that club and thanks to a great partnership with Stevie Crawford helped the pars to a 5th top finish in the league, season 2002/3... His role with the pars at that time was much more about creating chances for the likes of Crawford, and his style of play then reminded me very much of the late, great Jim Baxter... It was the appointment of Brew as player/manager of ICT that got me off my butt here, and go and watch Caley.... (I had no idea that could become addictive)... He certainly didn't disappoint and set a great example to his new team-mates.... The rest, as they say is history.... The manner of Brews departure from here was far from ideal, but CC didn't do too badly when he was talked into taking the job on The manner of Brew's re-appointment was not exactly ideal either, thanks mainly to the conduct of the board in this matter... Many who attended the supporters' trust meeting have been left with a bitter taste in the mouth... So what now..? Not much else for it other than to try and forgive and forget - get behind Brewster and his team, and hope he's got what it takes to get the players to play again and to somehow lift the club from one of its less than glorious periods in its relatively short history.... I think he'll succeed.... :003:
  5. Good ole IHE.... Up to his old tricks again....!! :004:
  6. The serious failings of the board have been pretty well documented on various threads throughout this website.... Would you like me to enumerate them all for you?
  7. you won't see them if you don't go down to the stadium. Don't recall seeing you at the stadium the night a delegation of supporters were invited along to help the board decide who the next manager should be..... :023:
  8. You're having a great time on here, aren't you...?
  9. This qualified and experienced man comes on here to spout this pathetic drivel, in an attempt to justify the board's actions, and yet hides behind the anonimity of a feckin pseudonym....
  10. Agreed - But how do they find a player of Dods's calibre in the space of around 5 days...?
  11. I wasn't there today - playing golf.... I'm interested to read the comments about Dods.... How the **** is Brewster going to get the backing of our support, taking into consideration we have been utterly dire since Dods left for DUFC and will probably remain so until a suitable replacement for him is found.... I'll be very interested to see and hear just how he proposes to deal with that...... given that he was instrumental in paving the way for Dods's transfer to DUFC....
  12. I just wanted to see this contribution, which I'm quite sure has come from one of our directors, displayed at the top of a post once again, in an attempt to ensure that more of the Caley online internutters can see for themselves, the calibre of some of those who are involved in the running of this football club.... The so called "qualified and experienced men" Who the F do they think they are...? Quote.... Our Vice-Chairman, Graham Bennett, has been 110% behind ICT from day one. Taking the person opinions of him as an individual aside, if we look at the positives - 1. When the other managers over the years have left the club over the years, usually for a bigger salary, he has been here, carrying on with business as usual. No mean task, in particular with something as emmotive and passionate as football. 2. Alan Savage knows exactly what he is doing, afterall, his background is personnel and he has a proven record of making the right choices. 3. Do we think for one minute that the Board have NOT considered all the options? They know that, initially, one of the hardest parts of the recruitment process is to sell the Highlands and the transport logistics. They are fully aware of the risk of going back and also the risk of 'picking a Wild Card' 4. The Board are made up of human beings, we make mistakes but we also are capable of making excellent moves too. Let's reflect on the good that the Board has done over the years, measuring not just in monetary terms, but in media coverage, growth and excellent highlights for, historically, a very young club. 5. Finally, it is was hard for CC to leave, knowing he would be under the spotlight for atleast a couple of weeks. AND, I think it is also very difficult for Brewster to through his hat back in the ring. Afterall, he knows more than anyone the fans will have their reservations. I am sure that his stint at DUFC and at Aberdeen will have wisened him. Lets support the choice made by qualified and experienced men. Yeap - A thought-provoking post from a qualified and experienced man.... :029:
  13. Might actually be a grain of truth in that one......
  14. Well I almost believe - just need to see some decent performances and results now :014:
  15. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  16. I wouldn't argue with that 12th man..... Bit I will say the manner in which Brewster was appointed doesn't smell too good..... :rolleyes02:
  17. So.... if true it will cost us a fortune if we are staring relegation in the face around Christmas time... and have to bring in someone else......
  18. To be honest I'm not really all that bothered about Brewster back in charge - I sincerely hope he manages to turn things round... I certainly have no intentions of taking my support elsewhere.... It is just the whole manner of the selection process that completely stinks...
  19. It wasn't just Warnock that created this nasty situation.... There were other potentially excellent candidates out there who were completely ignored because somebody in the club decided that Brewster was the man for the job... no pun intended... I think we should be told who made that decision. I lost an hour of my life last wednesday night by attending that meeting with the supporters trust, earnestly thinking I was going to be involved in a discussion with the board as to who should succeed Christie, not realising that the appointment had more or less already been made.... What a feckin joke.... :020:
  20. Interesting post L_G.... Were you sittting in on the interviews..? Sorry - Interview..?
  21. Interesting.... There were still plenty of other candidates who could have, and should have at least been interviewed.....
  22. Agreed.... I'd guess that will be the Highland Transport guy.....
  23. Probably enough material there for an entire conference..... :023: :023: You'll be up all feckin night..... :rolleyes02:
  24. It's reminiscent of the last throes of the Tony Blair government.... :029:
  25. That slip was so obvious I thought it had to be you....
