  1. Surely more like minor adjustments, Mrs PB..?? All we want is to see them produce their away form at home.... I'm sure CC & Donald will sort it out.... :003: :003:
  2. Midge.... How many times have you seen ICT since CC took over?
  3. Yes L_G - 13-1... And I agree with Caley100's comment.....
  4. Stupid question....
  5. Obviously the tactics at home are to flood the midfield, which helps close down the opposition, but it certainly doesn't make for pretty football..... Away from home they generally make good use of the flanks - particularly Barry... look at the game against Mothersmell.... I'm no football tactician either, but I agree with Alex - it would make sense to adopt a different formation at home.... The set up they adopt away from home usually works very well for them.... Why not try it at home..?? Even if the results aren't that much better it might make it a wee bit more exciting for us long suffering supporters..... Bonzo : Why do you think it so important to attract players from a wide area..?? The Highlands have a long tradition of producing players of a high standard. When Celtic won the European Cup in 1967 (not so long ago, really!) 10 of their team came from Glasgow.... there was only one foreigner.... keeper Ronnie Simpson, who came from Edinburgh....!!
  6. So poor old Charlie & Donald don't get any credit for the team's terrific finish to last season.... That was down to : Quote : "A close squad of players running on auto pilot"... In other words if the teams playing well & winning matches they're running on auto pilot..... if they're playing crap and losing matches, it's all Charlie's fault......What bullsh*t..... The fact that he may not be a houshold name "outside the Highlands" has no bearing whatsoever on his managerial capabilities. Five games into a 44 game new season and already all you can see is a spiral of decline..... Surely he should be allowed 1 full season in charge.....??

Getting off topic here.... The forthcoming Pars match is shaping up to be as big a fixture as was United & Falkirk.... Should therefore produce a very high standard of football - This will be one for the purist.... make no mistake about that..... Yeah - I'll meet up with you... Deffo not one to be missed....... :001:

Good luck in your mini Ryder Cup...... HDee.... If you can stay sober you might just win something.... :015: Yeah ok - I know that won't happen......
  9. It's a good question, Mrs PB...... Goals will only come from a much improved team performance. Every man on the park will have to contribute more - what they must work on is the woeful passing that permeates through every single home game.... it's like they've never played on that surface before. And it's not only passing.... Too many seem to be incapable of receiving a pass - quickly bringing the ball under control, and making decent use of it. That's all pretty basic stuff. I wouldn't even try & single out anyone.... they are all guilty. It is a complete mystery to me how they are a totally different side away from home. Maybe they should be allowed to train or play more practice games at the ground. They'll have to do something before serious disenchantment sets in.
  10. You can chuck your season ticket in my direction if you like, Mrs PB..... Is it not a bit early in the season for that...?? :007:
  11. I thought Sutherland might have figured at some stage last night.... He was all over them last time the two sides met on the last home game of last season.... We won that one comfortably 2-0. CC maybe forgot how well Xander played that night.....
  12. Be sure to bring your cork hat, mate.... we get a few flies in the Innes from time to time... :001: :006:
  13. Dunfermline at home will be no push-over.... They seem to have got a new lease of life with local boy Crawford back again.... It's gonna be a huge fixture.......
  14. What was he signed for again..?? I've forgotten...... :012: :012:
  15. Alarm bells..?? Only so far as their home performances are concerned.....
  16. Punnet of dog turd..?? :015: :015: Thanks Caley100 for the most constructive comment of the night.....!!
  17. We'll all be surprised to see McSwegan coming on.......
  18. Nothing wrong with grumpy old men, you young upstart......!! :012: :012: :sleep01: :sleep01:
  19. I wouldn't have been very happy to make a 300 mile round trip to watch what was on offer on Saturday. Absolutely no reason why Walter shouldn't see our lads when they are playing away..... He would also see a much better performance as well........ :003: :003:
  20. Sounds like one for CC & Donald to sort out then......
  21. Wish I knew what our strongest team is...... :006:
  22. :015: :015: :015: Welcome back....!!
  23. To me, Barry is the conundrum.... Did he just not play yesterday, or did he not get too much in the way of service..?? - I think mostly the latter.... Last week against Motherwell he had a part in all four goals.... Yesterday, he hardly delivered one decent cross..... How come he is a completely different player away from home..?? How come the whole team seems to be so much more attack minded when playing away..?? It's not just simply a case of defending for long spells, and then hitting their opponents on the break.... they are just much more comitted to going forward when away, which definitely surprises the opposition.... Final thought.... They always give 100% when playing away.... Only F*tballer's Wife can match that kind of dedication..... :004:
  24. TMT4J..... I agree with much of what you're saying.... Can you explain why they are so much better away from home, than at home..??
  25. All very well mentioning individual names - Black, Rankin, Dargo, Dods, Wilson, Bayne, Tokely.....etc, etc, It's a team game after all, and today they were a blo0dy awful team..... The stadium, the atmosphere, the crowd, are all part of the problem...... Something has to change......I wish I knew the answer...... :009: :009:
