  1. We are all guilty of the occasional "faux pas", and certainly many of these are nothing more than typos... I have to confess I find repeated errors not only irritating, but I would suggest they reflect rather badly on certain professions.... In the case of one of these professions I would have thought meticulous attention to detail was not only highly desirable but utterly essential. How long does it take to proof-read a post and correct a typo? On this site we even get a second chance thanks to the "Modify" button.
  2. "His return gives England another key to its bow" Stuart Pearce..... "A late consolation goal for Middlesbrough" - "They won't take any consolation from that" Ray Stubbs "I'll leave the atmosphere to your imagination but you can literally touch it" Elton Welsby
  3. An Elgin top then...?
  4. Put a clean pair on, IHE.... :017: Just in case you get knocked down crossing London Rd..... :rolleyes02:
  5. Agreed TCF.... I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is soon back playing again.... :022:
  6. Time to upograde that Commodore 64 Johnboy :comp01: Have just upgraded to a Commodore... Got rid of the Sinclair Spectrum just last week.... :003:
  7. It'll be 0-0 until stoppage time when Brewster will control a long punt from Fraser on his chest, before turning and unleashing an unstoppable shot past Boruc.... :021: :022: :021:
  8. 60...eh... We make sure the paramedics are kept on standby... All the best mate.... :021:
  9. I've heard of fans with microphones but that's feckin ridiculous.... I couldn't get your link to work, H/Dee - in fact it totally froze my computer - had to switch off & reboot...
  10. I prefer fish & chips from the north of England too.... I'm reliably informed it's because they tend to use a lighter crispier batter and fry in pure beef dripping, as they do in the Anstruther Fish Bar....... Whitby, N.Yorks has two of the best chippies you'll find anywhere..... :eat01:
  11. I sincerely hope the new outbreaks of foot & mouth disease in the south of England won't create a fresh outbreak of awful jokes/poem like this one..... Mary had a little lamb Its mouth was full of blisters now it's on a barbecue pyre with all its brothers and sisters Mary's lamb had foot and mouth The vet he came and shot it But mary's dad had shagged it first And now her mother's got it

  13. Re: Score Predictions for Scotland vs France ? Reply #6 on: September 12, 2007, 06:22:07 PM ? Quote Modify Remove -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The current squad have produced some terrific results under Walter and Big Eck.... I would be delighted with a 0-0 draw but will stick my neck out and predict McFadden will come on as a sub and grab the winner in stoppage time.... 0-1 to SCOTLAND...!!
  14. Nice bit of spelling, Milly - or did you get someone to type that out for you..? :023: Was last night's result such a shock..? I would have been seriously disappointed if they had not managed at least a draw..... Thinking about McFadden's goal - I'm wondering what all those who continually deride ICT for hoofing so many long balls up the park, thought about that one.... :024:
  15. Flushed with success of predicting last night's result (and scorer) and without any help from IHE's teacups.... I'm gonna stick my neck out again and predict a scoreline of 0-1 for ICT on Saturday... (Cowie to score).... :022: More than half of Celtic's team were on international duty last night and last Saturday... Some of them could be a wee bit flat - Here's hoping Brewster's boys will be ready to take full advantage... :014:
  16. A round..!!..?? You gotta be kidding... I threatened to buy Caley100 a pint... :014:
  17. Hope you put ?20 on that one son.... Wish to feck I had.... Might even have bought you a pint...!! Seriously - What a feckin result.... I can't think of a better result than that in 40 odd years of following Scotland... That must be their best ever result since they hammered the World Champions, England 2-3 at Wembley -1967.... :021: :021: :021: :021:
  18. The current squad have produced some terrific results under Walter and Big Eck.... I would be delighted with a 0-0 draw but will stick my neck out and predict McFadden will come on as a sub and grab the winner in stoppage time.... :022: 0-1 to SCOTLAND...!!

  22. Very sad.... I was living in Leeds when he grabbed the winner in the FA Cup Final.... 35 years later the Leeds people still can't believe it..... :029:

Bullsh!t....!! Every feckin day I see scores of people, many of them in still in their twenties, grotesquely obese, and puffing away merrily on fags at the same time..... :018: :018:
  24. We didn't have TV when I was a kid.... My father thought it would turn me and my brother into communists.... :017: It wasn't all bad though.... sometimes as a special treat, we got to listen to the Archers on Radio 4 on Sunday mornings.... :014:
  25. Correct.... Especially since Scotland got its devolved parliament... There is now a general feeling throughout England that much more money is handed out to the Scots than to the English. There is also resentment that Scots MPs can vote on matters pertaining to England, but English MPs cannot vote on Scottish matters. The only solution for this anomaly of course would be complete independence for Scotland..... :014:
