Two decrepit old cities, Glasgow & Carlisle are linked by motorway/dual carriegeway... There are very few accidents on that stretch of road despite a much greater volume of traffic, travelling at a much higher average speed....

Many of the A9's problems are caused by truckers restricted to a 40mph speed limit on the single carriegeway sections... this causes nose to tail convoys which can be an absolute nightmare to overtake.. (especially in a Skoda!) It would be much, much safer if it was dualled all the way to Perth..... Nobody's asking you to pay for it TM4TJ....

That's the best suggestion yet...... A pipe band between 2.40pm and 3pm, and again at half time would be superb.... It would certainly give the supporters a lift, and who knows, might even inspire our players..... :003: :003:
