Time to make a stand?
Yup, it's another set of quotes that fails to tell us what we want to hear. Did you notice how Pele / Robbo / Brewster jumped ship? It always begins with a week of quotes about how much they love life at ICT and how happy they'd be to stay and continue what they started. It's all very nice but it still allows for a but......i just couldn't turn down the opportunity of working for a big club like Aberdeen / Hearts / Dundee United. If Butcher's offered this job then i think he'll take it. Hopefully he doesn't get offered it.

Time to make a stand?
He'd regret walking away from his biggest success story into the mire. But he'd still do it if he got the chance. Too big a job to turn down and all that. The comments above are those of a man that's keeping his options open.

2018 World Cup
I'm listening to 5 Live and they're blaming anyone they can find. Shocking lack of dignity from our neighbours whose display of arrogance and hypocrisy continues to prevent them from hosting this tournament.

Pique may be the only one from the city , but Valdes, Puyol, Xavi, Bojan, Busquets and Pep are all from Catalonia. It's unique in modern football for such a big club to retain its local identity so strongly.- Nick Ross to sign new contract
Ross is getting better every week and from what i've seen his best performances have come in the centre of the park. I wasn't convinced about him at the start of the season and felt that he was only in the team because Foran was injured but he's rightly earned himself a starting place ahead of Odhiambo and showed why with brilliant displays against United and Celtic. Hopefully this contract will keep him at ICT for a good few years to come.- El Classico
That stat is really impressive and contrasts with Real Madrid's policy of buying the worlds most glamorous and expensive players. It's great to see long-term team building triumph over short-term splurging. Only a team that has grown together with a common ideology could play football like we saw last night - they pass and move as if they are reading their team-mates' minds. Franco's favourites showed a complete lack of dignity throughout their humiliation. The way Sergio Ramos lunged at Messi was disgraceful and he should be banned for a very long time for that and his subsequent assault of Puyol and Xavi as he stormed off. Carvalho should've had at least two red cards and Cristiano Ronaldo had the cheek to lay his grubby mits on Pep. Well done Barca for putting these cnuts in their place.- Will Rooney stick around?
Who's to say he can replicate his current scoring record? It would be a helluva gamble for the boy to stay with us on the assumption that we'll keep playing so well / he'll keep scoring so many goals / we'll keep getting so many penalties. This is his chance to go and play at a higher level and make himself more financially secure. He has to take it now.- Will Rooney stick around?
Small Championship teams / big League 1 teams can offer Adam 3 or 4 times the weekly wage that we can. With 11 goals in 15 SPL games his stock is never going to be higher. If i was in his shoes i'd seize the moment and hoof it January.- Fantastic! Brilliant!

I actually thought we were better for the 1st hour when we had an extra man in midfield. Celtic brought Towel on for Hooiveld and changed their 3-5-2 to a 4-4-2 allowing them to get a get a firm grip on the midfield. But all of that counts for little when you're up against the kind of spirit that we have in our side. At 2-0, i looked at the way our players were buzzing around the pitch fighting for every ball, moving it forward with intent, and i thought, christ, they actually believe we can get back in this game........feckin legends every one of them.- Matchday Thread : Celtic -V- ICT

That was coming. They've been turning the screw ever since Towel came on.- Matchday Thread : Celtic -V- ICT
I think we've been very good. Nick Ross is finding space between the lines and making brilliantly incisive, Iniesta-like little through balls - i'm beginning to realise just how good that boy is. Cox has also impressed and Foran caused a few problems early on. Unfortunately for Richie, he's being penalised every time he engages in a physical tussle with a Celtic defender. Are they getting more than their fair share of the tight decisions or am i being paranoid?- Matchday Thread : Celtic -V- ICT

I think the refs should have articulated more clearly exactly what point they are trying to make by striking. Have the released an official statement? Is Kenny Clark speaking for them or just mouthing off in his usual manner? The above quote from Clark is pretty straightforward and there isn't much to disagree with, but i'd like to know if that's the official reason for the strike. Regardless, i certainly won't be attending any match on Saturday that's officiated by a scab ref. I hope to go to Celtic Park on Saturday to see a game handled by Scottish ref who's received sufficient assurances and support from the SFA to feel he can carry out his job properly. If he's developed a grudge against Celtic then all the better.- Some Stats
Good work Caley, and while i believe we can do it, i have my doubts. While the spirit of team is obviously great and all of the players are playing to a very high standard, the way we play makes us reliant on two forward players to create and score our goals on the break. What happens if those players get injured or are sold? The squad is small and we don't have replacements of the same quality. I think we're stick-ons for a top 8 finish, and the 15 point gap we've opened with Hamilton makes relegation unthinkable, but top 6 might be pushing it just a bit. Of course, if we keep the team together and the Irishmen stay injury free then we might just pull it off. Here's hoping.- Our Prayers Could be Answered
I gave you a red dot as well. Krishima pretty much nailed the reason why i didn't reply in a more eloquent manner than i could mange so we'll just leave it at that. The post in question currently has a rating of +2 though, so i wouldn't get too upset about it.- Matchday Thread : ICT -V- Hibernian
Highlights up. I didn't realise from my Bridge End vantage point just how good some of those moves were. The 1st and 3rd goals are just incredible. Hayes pass to Rooney for the 3rd!!! Rooney's finish!!!! - El Classico
