  1. I think Brewster will keep faith Fraser and play him against Aberdeen.  I just hope he can regain some confidence and learn from his mistakes yesterday.

The bottom line is that we are leaking far too many goals and this cannnot continue.  Brewster has previously shown, by replacing Caff, that he is not afraid to make difficult decisions - the goalkeeping position is vital and Brew will have to change things if we continue to concede goals at the present rate.

  2. Smee, the building to the left is the Laundry, the garage was further behind, I think.  If you lived in Burnie Terrace in the seventies, do you remember a guy called Gerald Straube?

Charles, My oldman hasn't changed much since this photo was taken - what do you think?  :004:

  3. He seems to get better with every game.  He had a superb game today and was at the heart of most of our attacking moves; but also covered back and broke up Falkirk's play when required.

He is the type of midfielder - robust, fast and energetic, that ICT has being crying out for years.

  4. Well today's 3 points were a long time coming but the wait was worth it and what a fantastic winner from Brew.  I think now that we have the monkey of our back with having got some points, the team will firstly get off the bottom next week and the go on a little run and climb the table.

  5. ymip, I don't think Orange Juice ever played Inverness but Edwyn did play up north about 4 years ago.  I saw Orange Juice play in Edinburgh in 1981 - they were a bit shambolic in places but it was a good gig.

Beachcomber, I was at the Roman Holiday gig too - we must have crossed paths.  BTW, it was Death Cult, they dropped "Southern" by that stage.  I was one of the organisers for the gig and I remember Ian Ashbury being a total arrogant a**hole.

  6. Although I think he should have done better on a number of occasions, it's a bit harsh to single Mike out when the defence has not given him sufficient cover.  Having said that, we cannot continue to leak  goals and Brewster must manage the situation in order to regain the solid defensive form that was the foundation of ICT for the past 3 seasons.

  7. ymip, I saw the Smiths at Eden Court in 1984.  It was a good gig and they were in good form.  Del Amitri were the support band.

Other gigs I saw in Inverness:

Echo and the Bunnymen - Ice Rink

    Death Cult - Ice Rink

    Jack Bruce  - Eden Court

The Proclaimers - Ice Rink 1983 (years before they played the Market Bar)

  8. My dad took in one game at the Citadel ground when they played Caley.  Unfortunately,  he was very young at the time and doesn't remember too much more about the game.  He does confirm that the ground was behind the Cromwell tower where the fuel tanks now reside.

  9. The_Sponge - a good summary of the game, which I on the whole agree with.

Black is starting to mature and he is not reacting to bad tackles - long may this continue.  Marius is a class act and I am confident he will score many goals and create chances for others.  I think Wyness and Marius could go on to form a good partnership.

A good confidence boosting win tonight and I hope the team can build on this for the Hibs game.

  10. It was a fantastic atmosphere in the Howden End for the Airdrie game.  I remember going mad when we won, and ended up loosing the contents of my coat pockets - including my house keys.  The St Johnston game also had an excellent atmosphere.

It was a tradition for Caley to shoot towards the Howden End in the second half - and I think the support coming from the Howden End spured  the team on to get many an important goal when it was needed.
