Murray blows a Gasquet He simply blew Dick away after a struggle to win the first set, but after that Murray was in charge. Good win for him, onwards and upwards.

First set to Murray on a tie break, but he has made heavy weather of it so far. He upped his game when the tie break came along and breezed it, but he struggled on Gasquet's serve up until that point. Could still be a long day for him if he does not stay on the ball.

It's fine, it'll do the job, I'm liking the black shoulders and the striped necklines.

The guy who sculpted these is Iain Chalmers who won the recent carve Carr-Bridge competition. Some incredible pieces of wood on display, worth looking at if you have nt seen them yet.

Here is a pic taken from the net somewhere, but this is one of the carvings at Culloden, there must be half a dozen of these carvings along Culloden Drive, behind Barn Church Road from the shops to Culloden Hotel driveway.

If it's at Culloden, there are a number of fantastic sculptures carved into the trees, like chainsaw carvings, really well done and quite intricate as well.

What's with all the Duff bashing. I doubt he is as bad as some are making out. Yes he was taken to the cleaners a couple of times last season at RB, but he was not alone there as that wee Honduran sprinter tore him a new one. I beieve he is a better midfielder, more composed than some and less wasteful, unfortunately not always, but he does seem to get singled out for unfair criticism at times. Should we not be getting behind our players until we have sufficient evidence to shout them down. I'm thinking of the likes of Stratford who it became increasingly obvious that he was not the type of player we required in the engine room. We can all have off days, even weeks, but he deserves better than this from some of his own supporters surely. Duff is going to be one of the players that you either love or hate, no middle ground, a sort of balder Russell Duncan, it's going to be a long season for him, I hope he does well. Still, each to their own.

Aye, in an ideal world that would be the bees knees ICT Paisley, unfortunately it's not always about us and other persons/clubs/fans come into play as well. What was that saying............You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not please all of the people all of the time.

The contract is a two way deal, the players or more importantly the players agent have some input in this. A lot of players only do 1 year contracts with clubs of our ilk, it offers them the chance to move on when the time comes, or stay should that option be offered to them. We should be thankful that we get them signed at all on whatever contract. We are never going to be the big draw that some clubs are, we will always have to make the most of what we get and so far we seem to be doing ok on that. I get cheesed off every time I see someone post that why did we not offer more than one/two year deals etc. It's a big world out there and life is not always that simple, live with it or jump ship.
