  1. County winning 0-1 and Falkirk winning by the same score.
  2. It's the difference between night and day, hmmmnnn, ...........Brewster or Butcher, Brewster or Butcher.............. Butcher has managed to claw us back from the brink, we were definitely going down under Brewster, he had lost what little plot he ever had, the players were not responding, now they have a new respect and can see some light at the end of the tunnel. Twenty reasons to be cheerful.
  3. Mr Drogba is not a happy bunny, blaspheming on national telly.
  4. 3-0 was the full time score
  5. 0-0 @ half time. 1-0 Andy Webster from a corner
  6. What a strike that is by Essien, a thumping volley from near thirty yards off the underside of the bar, a ferkin belter.
  7. Dance sensation wins Britains got Talent. Runner up is not amused
  8. Game over early doors by the look of it.
  9. You might want to sew it instead.
  10. Lighten up and stick it on the thread already started.
  11. Absolutely, we were so hopeless that we beat them 2-1
  12. Pretty much spot on Johndo. I will defend Lionel a bit here, was he fouled when he made the initial challenge on Mehmet before he went to the bye line and crossed. I thought Mehmet turned him, call it naievity on Lionels part or just a foul by Mehmet. Conroy got most 50/50's wrong anyway. Barrowman, yep, I tend to agree, you can't give half points so two it is. He did link well at times but he has no upper strength and can't play a lone role, like a Brewster. Grantie had a good day, his type of game yesterday with Saints lacking the guile to open us up, unlike Imrie who will score soon if he gets the ball on target. Great noise from the Caley Thistle Boys, a five star performance. Rooney has no change of pace, only third gear, but Duncan put in two crunching tackles when he came on, nice little cameo, albeit only for three minutes. Wee run out for Hastings as well, time to shore up and he got involved. Rossco is simply put, just super man.
  13. Has he got long arms or a short body?
  14. Is it a game you play on your own.
  15. The new stadium looks like a cross between meccano and lego, maybe it should have been called legano, or mecclego or something similar, although The Methadome is my personal favourite. By the way, what an irritable little jobsworth of a steward, the little upstart in the orange, what a forkin pleb. Get a life ya wee squirt, and stick yer clipboard where it hurts. Killjoy springs to mind.

    Esson

OK all you guys and girls in the know, whats the inside story on Esson, was he dropped yesterday, did he fall out with the gaffer, was he injured................whats going on? I have to say that in Fraser we have an equally good keeper, with Esson just edging it because of his greater experience.
  17. I believe the County supporters suffer from sweaty palms anyway, or is it blisters and blindness. I'll need to check.
  18. Good news if it sticks. Well done Blackie, our player of the year surely and deserved recognition for his efforts.
  19. Yes...........I hope he gets better soon. Good all round tough tackling performance. Unfair to single anyone out but,..................Proctor was maybe, just maybe the weakest link, but thats just my opinion. He was not poor by any standards, but looked a bit lightweight a couple of times although he put in a couple of juicy challenges as well.
  20. I said possibly because it happened at the far end of the park, and I have not seen any replays on tv yet. I thought they got a succesion of decisions from a very very poor referee, and they took throw ins and free kicks quickly trying to keep their momentum going. Was that why he was exposed a bit down the goal line, I waited for him to lunge in but Mehmet got the better of him and crossed for Hamilton to score. Lionel had a good game otherwise and special mention for Roy who tracked Dormant all afternoon. Still buzzing, fantastic day.
  21. We should have blown them away just after half time when Imrie made his own personal assault on the Mirrren goals, having about six shots in five minutes, unfortunately all off target. Lionel possibly caught out for their goal, but otherwise he had a decent game. Rossco scoring the winner in Paisley. You can't write stuff like that, the big man was magnificent, great in defence and scored the winner against his beloved buddies fans, brilliant. Good craic in the stands, well done to all for creating a noise. I thought Foran had a good game and Imrie back to his best being a nuisance player. Roy was on a man marking mission, hardly kicked the ball, but snuffed out his opponent well. Fraser did what he had to do. All in all, great day out and worth the cheap tickets just to see Rossco get the winner. Fandabbydozey
  22. Give it plenty today Rossco. If ever there was a day to get it up them, then this is the day. Go on my son.
  23. Gretna. It will be a reference to Gretna Green I would imagine, which is distinct from Gretna, it's closest town/village. My mate Wiki told me this, but I knew it anyway......... Gretna Green is one of the world's most popular wedding destinations, hosting over 5000 weddings each year. [2]. Gretna's famous runaway marriages began in 1753 when an Act of Parliament, Lord Hardwicke's Marriage Act, was passed in England, which stated that if both parties to a marriage were not at least 21 years old, then consent to the marriage had to be given by the parents. This Act did not apply in Scotland, where it was possible for boys to get married at 14 and girls at 12 years old with or without parental consent. Since 1929 both parties have had to be at least 16 years old but there is still no consent needed. In England and Wales the ages are now 16 with consent and 18 without. Before these changes occurred, many elopers fled England, and the first Scottish village they encountered was Gretna Green. The Old Blacksmith's shop, built around 1712, and Gretna Hall Blacksmith's Shop (1710) became, in popular folklore at least, the focal point for the marriage trade. The Old Blacksmith's opened to the public as a visitor attraction as early as 1887. The local blacksmith and his anvil have become the lasting symbols of Gretna Green weddings. Scottish law allowed for 'irregular marriages', meaning that if a declaration was made before two witnesses, almost anybody had the authority to conduct the marriage ceremony. The blacksmiths in Gretna became known as 'anvil priests'. Gretna's two Blacksmiths' shops and countless inns and smallholding became the backdrops for hundreds of thousands of weddings. Today there are several wedding venues in and around Gretna Green, from former churches, to purpose buit chappels, but the services at all the venues are always performed over an iconic Blacksmiths anvil. Gretna Green endures as one of the world's most popular wedding venues, and thousands of couples come from around the world to be married 'over the anvil' at Gretna Green. In common law, Gretna Green marriage came to mean, in general, a marriage transacted in a jurisdiction that was not the residence of the parties being married, to avoid restrictions or procedures imposed by the parties' home jurisdiction.[3] Other towns in which quick, often surreptitious marriages could be obtained came to be known as "Gretna Greens".[4] These have included Elkton, Maryland,[5] Reno and, later, Las Vegas, Nevada, all in the United States. A notable Gretna marriage was the second marriage in 1826 of Edward Gibbon Wakefield to the young heiress Ellen Turner, the Shrigley abduction. In 1856 Scottish law was changed to require 21 days' residence for marriage, and a further law change was made in 1940. Other Scottish Border villages previously used for these marriages were Coldstream Bridge, Lamberton, Mordington and Paxton Toll. Today, possibly as many as one of every six Scottish weddings take place at Gretna Green or in the town of Gretna. There is an anvil in Gretna, Manitoba, Canada to symbolize the blacksmith, and the source of its name, inscribed on it is Scotty woz here.
