  1. Thats the problem with the online highlights, it only shows him and Grantie arriving just too late to prevent what was, from Killies point of view a good goal, from ours a bad one to lose. He performed above and beyond his duties at Killie, just a pity we had all pushed forward leaving Fraser exposed on the quick break.
  2. Unfortunately, you only see it from the half way line. Roy falls over near the edge of their penalty box holding his stomach. Maybe some of our players thought we would be getting a free kick. They then transfer the ball forwards. Meanwhile our defenders who were forward are now struggling to get back and when they cross our intrepid pair are just arriving on the scene, with Mike covering the front post. We did nothing wrong really, but we still lost the game, as it happened, a draw would have made little impact either.
  3. I'm telling you, Johndo IS Lionels hero, no question about it. Although maybe Thierry hates you..........you can't please them all. If only you could pass a ball like Russell Duncan, you would be superman, or a spaceman. All will be clear next weekend.
  4. A little wider Mr Foran..........
  5. Stan......... A poet, and you didna know it.
  6. Why would you want the word official printed on your top.
  7. Highlights online now. Looks like defenders were caught upfield and when Killie broke we never recovered quick enough. Lionel just gets back as the ball is centred but it just clears him and Kyle nods in. Looks like Fraser also saved the one at the end by tipping onto post.
  8. How do you know it wasn't a real ghost pretending to be just an employee, so as not to be outed.

  10. I'm sure the gig will be fine...............the football, well that could prove to be more difficult.
  11. It's now cut and dried. St mirren - Hamilton draw, we beat Falkirk, we finish ninth...............sorted.

    Deja Vu

It's a good point that rig makes. Only one thing can save Falkirk. Victory over ICT, therefore they will have only one thing to concentrate on and that is beating us. We need to have the same mentality and that to me means go out and score goals, cos we sure as hell are not great at defending for 95 minutes. So, please Terry, get in about them early on and go onwards from there.
  14. A few posters mentioned the wee spat in the first half which brought about a spate of yellow cards. As I saw it, Proctor fouled one of the Killie players. Free kick no problem. The ref would have left it at that but the Killie player reacted and jumped up and appeared to push/strike Proctor, this resulted in more players getting involved in an almighty melee, none running more distance to get involved than Irishman Foran. I think it was the player that was fouled that reacted, if not him, then a second Killie player was close by. All in, the ref would have awarded the free kick and nothing more said, but for the over reactions from the Killie player, who I thought might well have been the one to get sent off for pushing Proctor. All he succeeded in doing was getting four or five players booked. Killie were woeful in the first half, booting the ball into the stands on numerous occasions. Roy McBain fizzed a low ball across the face of the six yard box but there were no takers, alas that was the last we saw of Roy. Foran who was working well up front turned his man on the edge of the box but his shot was angled across the keeper and missed the target. Kerr had a shot from 18 yards deflected wide as we controlled the pace of the game and Morais looked lively in the first half, but was to fade badly in the second half as Killie upped the pace. Killie sprung to life just before the break but we mopped up the efforts in the six yard box as they forced a couple of corners which were delivered menacingly, Fraser miscueing one badly and punching the ball skywards. Big Lionel looked like our most dangerous attacker after the break drifting past the Killie midfield with ease and firing a couple of long range efforts goalwards. As the game wore on, our midfield slackened their grip of the main arena and Killie began to ease their way into the match. Neither keeper really had anything to do, such was the impotency of both attacks. We lost the goal due to slackness at the other end of the pitch. From a good attacking position, McBain seemed to be upended, but as play raged on we could not keep posession and Kerr for one was ball watching as the Killie midfielders released the ball the to Gary Hay who did well before crossing a deepish ball over Fraser who had gone to cover the front post. The result was a tap in for one of two unmarked Killie players with Kyle getting the goal. All our players were stranded up the park. Killie almost made it two at the end but the ball rebounded off the post and Fraser recovered to block the ball. Disappointing result and best from my viewpoint were Lionel, Rossco, Black with Foran running himself to a standstill. Morais and Kerr in the first half, but nothing from them in the second half. Imrie again inconsistent, wrong ball a couple of times might have played someone in, but he was not alone in that.
  15. The goal yesterday was nothing to do with having nine foot centre halfs. We were cought on the break after losing out near their penalty box, this resulted in Killie speeding up their left wing and when the cross came in there were two guys waiting at the far post to knock the ball in, not even sure if it was headed in or just bundled in. Fraser had gone to the near post and I don't think we had a defender near the Killie players, as Kyle stooped to knock the ball home. They also hit the post at the very end, we should have lost two nil, however I don't think a point would have been any good either as it would still leave us with the last day winner takes all scenario. It was all down to Saints stunning win over Falkirk that has thrown a spanner into the works.

    Deja Vu

It's more like a legacy of Deja Brew. Squeaky bum time next weekend.
  17. Little point in blaming Barrowman for our demise, he is only getting a few minutes play at the moment. I thought Morais looked a little frustrated in the second half, constantly throwing his arms up in disbelief as the final pass went astray again. He needs to knuckle down and get stuck in, talent in abundance, but more fight required from him. Imrie, Kerr, Roy all disappeared as the game wore on. Accurate enough account, although Proctor was no worse than others and Morais has one removed for over gesticulating. Two for Fraser............he had nothing to do, like Combe, apart from not being near Kyle at the goal, but he was left exposed as Killie broke upfield when our midfield imploded.
  18. I have a Brewster Out banner at home...............will that do? Hey guys, bring anything along, lets make it a day to remember, not a day to forget. Bring your Granny along if she can make a noise.
  19. Unfortunately I imagine that the away end will be boosted by a couple of hundred County fans with the Caley rebels joining them. Nothing would fill me with more pride than seeing their day ruined.
  20. Just the one comedy moment when the ball hit off his standing foot and as he tried to kick it with the other, he succeeded in toe poking it about two yards............in saying that, he still had the speed to recover and make a tackle on the opposition player. He played in the true spirit of William Wallace, Rob roy et all, getting forward to help our flagging attack and had a couple of pot shots on target, unfortunately just too far out to trouble the keeper. Well done Lionel, you are an athlete.
  21. :( johndo is superman - r u real?
  22. You are my hero Johndo, I am sure Lionel uttered this once. Do you know Pavels?
  23. Now your talking Lots of fantastic players mentioned, and we cannae criticise the young uns for being young, not their fault, blame the parents...........or the parents parents. Anyway, my Bobby Mann, was slightly tongue in cheek, he was however a superb reader of the game and a fantastic stopper and distributor of the ball, always looking to build from the back. When you have seen the best in the world, it is difficult to make comparisons to the modern player. Lots of great players in the English game just now, most of them foreigners. Bobby Moore, Dalgleish, Law, Pele............now theres a name and I mean thee Pele........... in his heyday, but look at the likes of Messi, Ronaldinho, Henry............the list is endless now as the great game is so much in our faces thanks to SKY and the likes of online streaming. It is a great game with many great players and everybody will have their own favourites, so I suppose this thread could be endless, or timeless, like all great players.
  24. Somebody wants to have your babies as well............
