  1. Had some people round at mine for the boxing In fact it was quite some day all in. I was there to see Marius score his first SPL goals, thats something for the grandchildren.............emm well anyones grandchildren then. Wee drinky pre-match, beat Hibs 2-0 pint in the Kessock on the way home, live band playing in my house, yes live band, three piece rock band and brilliant they were too, well done for your first gig Chris Iain and big Jimmy also heard the best voice ever, a Swede salled Sophie playing and singing Mad World..........absolutely awesome......this girl MUST get herself a record deal......Dave did some sliding blues, superb jamming even Zogg gave us a few monkey songs, lots of refreshments, good craic, everyone stayed awake to watch the fight, Hatton got taken out, what a punch, he was lifted off his feet by that one and got a good old fashioned doing from a brilliant boxer, started to get erm ahem tired around half six in the morning, then off to bed to wait for the hangover. Yep, it was a great day. And it was my burffday too. :021:
  2. Another fan tastic delivery.............tannadice or tulloch Yingwie mentioned Nicola e elewhere. Congratulations anyway :021:
  3. Superb performance against a good Hibs side who made a very good game of it. Some great performances from our guys anf the big guy up front for Hibs was a real handful. Still, we kept at it and deservedly stuffed them with Marius oh so close to getting a tremendous hat-trick, we were all off our seats when he hit that rasper near the end after a lightning move out of defence. However I will settle for 2-0 for us. Marius was super as was Fraser Rankin and Proctor, Bayne came on and did the hard shift to ease the pressure on the defence and did it brilliantly, McGuire and Granty stood firm against a real handful and the rest did their job, Roy being a bit ineffective and Russell broke up play magnificently............then gave the ball away easily at times but thats Russell, now for my MoM the absolutely clear winner for me was Iain Black. He was immense, got battered around all day but came back for more, was instrumental in everything we did, defended when required, played last man at times and almost scored a spectacular goal. My hero, well played Iain and despite the rough treatment he conducted himself impeccably, eat that. MoM Iain Black, don't forget that. Marius...........fantastic and I am so glad you gave me a birthday goal. Michael Fraser, great way to answer the hard to please home fans, fabulous display. Overall fandabbydosey.
  4. JINGLE BELLS JINGLE BELLS JINGLE ALL THE WAY OH WHAT FUN IT IS TO SCORE A GOAL ON NEW YEARS DAY OHHHHHHHHHH JINGLE BELLS JINGLE BELLS JINGLE ALL THE WAY CAN WE HAVE A GOAL TODAY FROM MARIUS NICULAE........................ <<pronounced nicoolay for the purpose of this chant, no footballers were injured in the making of this song and any resemblance to real footballers is purely coincidental>> and once he scores OHHHHHHHHHH JINGLE BELLS JINGLE BELLS JINGLE ALL THE WAY WE HAVE GOT A GOAL TODAY FROM MARIUS NICULAE
  5. Stick Toklers straight back in, tried and tested and does a great job for us. I don't go along with this always leaving gaps behind him. If the strikers would hold the ball for longer he would have time to get back, but he can't be in two places at once. He runs up the wing, busting a gut, crosses the ball after riding four challenges, and .....and, no one capitalises on it, surely someone is covering his ***, after all it's total football.......wait no, let's blame Tokely cos we are too short sighted to see who should be covering the space, after all he started there, so why is he not there :029: Nothing against Proctor, whom I believe is an excellent squad player, but playing above Rossco........not so sure yet. Stick Rossco back where he should be.
  6. Ah, but did they have the horn :party07:
  7. If it were only five people booing him whilst warming up then it's five people too many. If they don't perform well during the game, different kettle of fish and this can and will lead to calls of " sort it out chaps", or "come on lads". Good call jaggy thistle, frustration during games does lead to some strange shouts, but before the game..... give it a rest.
  8. I certainly won't be clapping and cheering Broon, but I doubt I will be booing him either. Maybe a few choice rants at him though. :023:
  9. Deeno's sports bar in the town centre is where most away fans gather. Bottom end of Academy Street. Plenty screens in there to watch early footie. Any town centre bar is around the same distance to stadium about 30 minute walk.
  10. Woohoo I'll need to buy a hat now.
  11. I know where it comes from, but what about tin can fan, are you a fan of tin cans man.
  12. OK then, some usernames are self explanatory, like scotty or Alex Macleod (no imagination) others like mine display my pleasure at watching a real footballer, but others like............neksor...........yngwie..........mantis smee, what are these ones all about
  13. Probably one of his best moments clacher, but sadly for him they were few and far between. He will make a decent first division player and maybe get back to the SPL if he ups his workrate. He does have some neat touches and a decent left foot but needs to work harder. Anyway, best of luck to him.

  15. :rotflmao: You are confusing yourself now :sillywave: Marius and Dennis can and will play together, until Brew is fit.
  16. ZIBI ROSSCO CAFF KERR VIGURS BAZZA GILLESPIE MORGAN HART BAYNE RORY Windy afternoon ruined any chance of silky football First decent chance to us around 22 mins, when Bayne took cross on chest and layed it off to Bazza who shot from18 yards with left foot but it flew a couple of yards over. Bayne in fact might have been better trying to knock the ball over the keeper but he elected to lay it off. Zibi then blocked a drve from 8 yards low to his left. Free kick to us and from 26 yards Bazza curled a shot towards the keepers top right but he clawed the ball away for a corner, good save. Plenty posession and forward breaks from us but no penetration. Bayne looking decidedly ordinary against buddies reserves. St Mirren then had a wee flurry of activity and a shot from edge of box sailed over. Scrappy stuff overall in the blustery conditions. Sweeping move around the thirty six minute mark saw Bazza cross to Bayne who layed it off for Hart and he hit a decent left footer from 22 yards to the same corner Bazza's free kick went, but once again the keeper was equal to it and produced another top drawer save. From resultant corner, wee scramble but ball hacked clear eventually. Soon after clearest chance of the game for Mirren as they burst to life and a free header from six yards went harmlessly over. Mirren shot deflected for corner but Rossco cleared as the half time approached. Second half saw no change to pattern of play or team selections. Guy Kerr booked for late trip on forward trying to burst through, no complaints there. Deep corner from Mirren saw a shot wide left from eight yards. Great sliding power tackle from Rossco saw him set up another attack, Rory flicked on to Bayne but the move fizzled out. Around the fifty five mins good cross and shot by Saints saw Zibi make a comfortable clutch to his midrift. Good handling and distribution by him most of the game, barring one low driven clearance, but he got away with it. Hart was starting to find room to drive at the heart of the Mirren defence but the shot or last pass was always blocked by the hard working Mirren defence. Another run by Hart saw Vigurs hit a shot across the keeper but again he parried the ball to safety. Mirren next to show and a tasty cross had the wifies gasping, but there were no takers at the far post. Seventy minutes and Rory tried a dipping lob volley which went fairly close but the keeper looked happy with it going wide. Dean Macdonald came on for Dale Gillespie. Game frittered away after that as the windy conditions took it's toll. Plenty of effort but alas no goals. Dale tried hard but could not get into the game and it passed him by, but the same could be said for 'cult hero' Deano, he came on and never had a look in. Zibi looked good with quick distribution and cool kicking and passing. Of the real reserves, Guy Kerr looks to be an outstanding prospect and Iain Vigurs has a great left peg. Bazza Hart and Rossco looked good and Morgan twisted and turned but could not find the killer pass or shot. And Rory, he battered away, had some half chances but like everyone else the wind probably was the winner today. Bayne was mostly ineffective and his control was, well, what control. He lost more ball than he won, lets just say it was very windy.

did you not like the first link mr shuffle Gosh what a surprise Malky on his way maybe. :010:
  18. Hey wifies, reserve game tomorrow Tuesday 4th December against St Mirren. 14:00 kick off.
  19. what bugs me is women drivers driving too close behind me and stealing my spray get yer own water.
  20. Closer to 30 yards I would suggest. Remember the furthest point of the D is 22 yards, therefore basing it on that it's maybe 28 to 30 yards. Neat goal either way, a cheeky wee floater.
  21. Mr no knees gave our defence a hard time earlier this season, but we seemingly coped better this time. :003:
  22. on bbc.co.uk................can you get that in the West or try the link under blackie goal.............or are you winding me up.
