  1. He does get the odd headless chicken thrown in his direction, no more than he deserves sometimes, but Graham Bayne is a headless chicken every team has headless chickens. I may have used the term myself in reference to his late lung bursting Marius is great runs and lunges and I was less than pleased with him at the Well game, but overall I always have Brewster is magic supported him and his rumbustuous style. His ball control is not always the best but you know what you so is Black get when Bayne is playing and he does unsettle defenders. Maybe IHE is referring to people always but please chosing Marius over Bayne. Freedom of typing. Thoroughbread or cart horse, it's Brews choice but they before replying both bring something to the stable. read between the lines Oh, and read between the lines please

    Happy Yet?

"I don't hear anyone saying we were unlucky to lose the previous 5!" Thats a great point to make cmib. Does it not just show the reservations of the Highlanders. No point in getting too carried away with the recent results as they can just as easily slip the other way then the perpetual whingers will just have a field day. Milk it for what it's worth just now, it's great to be an ICT fan, but also remember to get behind the lads when the chips are down. Happy yet? I was never unhappy. Brew knew the club, the club knew Brew it was a no brainer. Yes he had a disappointing time at United..........different expectations, different circumstances, different players. He is here now lets get on with it and yes all credit to Brew and his team for turning the season round, although the proof of the pudding will come at the end of the season, that is when all teams are judged. :003:
  3. I have always liked Baynes fully committed style, but sometimes that is not enough. on Saturday Marius was not having the best of games, not through his own lack of quality, but more to do with the way ICT played the game. He was totally isolated on numerous occasions and Bayne is the best at being in that position for us as he is well used to it from our Pittodrie days. Unfortunately the refs have sussed out his arms first style and this nullifies his aggressive play right away as he was booked a few minutes after coming on last weekend. look at the Well game, booked then red carded for doing what he does best, jumping into people and late lunges. He is handy at times but needs to be used in the right situations, for me Marius has the edge whether it be home or away, but Bayne coming on and having a real go at tiring defences can and will turn games. Saturday was the least productive display I have seen from Marius, although the penalty will do nicely, but I thought he would be hooked after an hour. Still, we went for it and pushed Bayne into his position and it paid off. Horses for courses, both players have a big part to play in this phenomenon lets not compare them because they are totally different footballers. To answer the original question.......... :021: to Bayne.............and :021: to Marius.
  4. The boy done good. About two minutes before he scored his cracker he took a free kick about forty yards out and overhit it badly, much to the consternation of the away support, he then gets on the end of a great move and rifles a scorcher into the bottom corner, classic Russel Duncan. He scored a belter on the run from 25 yards against Alloa. we scored six that night and five were simply stunning, Hart scoring from about 43 yards with a thunderous free kick.
  5. Proctors luck indeed. I thought Rossco had a tremendous game yesterday, it will certainly be difficult to choose one over the other on the evidence of recent games.
  6. Thank you thank you thankou, and a big thank you ICT. Great entertainment, good noise, outsinging sixteen thousand Jambos (shall we sing a song for you), yes it's all gone quiet over there. We started well, Marius fell when running in on goal trailed by Berra, well thats what the ref thought anyway. Incensed the away fans and we rode our luck when a great curling 25 yarder smacked off the crossbar in Mikes favourite corner, wonder if he got a touch to it. We broke forward, ball laid back into Duncans pass and he hit a curling daisy cutter into the keepers left hand corner, goal as soon as it left the outside of his foot from 25 yards, superb. Fraser continued his impressive form and made a good diving save when Heartrs next threatened and he looked comfortable all afternoon. We saw it out till half time then Marius did his dying swan brilliantly and Rankin finished the job from the spot, suuuuperb. We let Hearts back into it and they forced the play for a bit and from a series of corners again winning the deep ball Berra knocked it goalwards and it ended up in the net, Late penalty had us all shaking our heads but one last flourish ended with Bayne slamming the ball low and hard past Lee Wallace in the Hearts goal. Unbelievable stuff, the stuff that Roy of the Rovers or Alf Tupper would have been proud of. Their keeper was a calamity he also allowed two innocuous looking efforts to squirm through him a la Zibi, then retaliates to Duncan after he slides in and accidently I thought tripped him, what a clown, offski. Mike had a super game and one punched clearance late on would have had Henry Cooper smiling. Black subbed???? not sure why, as he was bossing the middle and taking the mick with wee nutmegs and jinks. All in all, fantastic. Well cone everyone.

  14. :015: that answers that question then, what's next.
  15. :015: Alex Macleod, the sponsor of doom. the players are bricking themselves at the start of the season to see who our Alex selects as his player for sponsorship. Remind us of these unfortunate guys :010: Oh and good luck Deano, it never quite worked out for you.
  16. I agree he has done well, but how do you prove to me that the results would have been worse if say Caff had played instead.
