I think we need to give up hope of the SPL and get back to playing football, after all thats what we go to see.. Good football. Im not trying to find the quick fix, i dont want a quick fix, i want a long term Goal.

Right heres how I see it and feel right now. I bought all the hipe with TB coming in, he did a great job right up untill he changed things in the SPL, we were safe, then we dropped like a stone again, why? who cares its done now!! Now we are down here in the SFL we had the big pre season build up of going back quick.. we brought in some new players, got all excited and BANG!! things didnt go our way.. Now the problem I see we have is.. We have no real long term plans, non of the new lads are on long contracts, Hayes / Cox / Foran / TB MM and some of our "Stars from the past" are coming to an end this year too. So what do we do? Me, I want us to stop all the going back quick stuff and go back to basics, Get in some players that want to stay with us long term, we have a young team that needs to build/Gel we need a manager who understands us and knows what its like down here. I'm not looking for Sackings or the likes in the thread but im looking for what we as "Fans" want to see. I want to see the good days back when football was about playing for Our Club, I want to see good games of football when its tight, hard hitting and entertaining, Im happy we are not in the SPL now, we have more to play for down here, Cup runs and a chance to win the leauge not just wollow in the mid/bottom of the table. I want the old days back, home grown football, I dont care about going up, i just want our old Caley Thistle back!!

He would make a great assistant to Robbo though :-) If only!

Fair enough, but why blow smoke up there arses and say everythings ok when its not? Because he cant come out and say we are all **** it is all a diaster and we are not going to get promoted I know we already know it but if you hear the manager come out with that it is not exactly what you want to here. (supporting) then what.... we are proper funked then, I'd say easy 1000 folk today didnt like what they saw and said somthing... then next week when it gets worse and another 1000 stop saying anything and stop going... ICT...What ICT IMO there are two types of folk follow Caley, Fans - Check the score on Ceefax and the likes buys a top and reads the odd blog. Supporters - Buy Season tickets, or just goes when they can, home and/or away who feel they are making a difference to the team... I'm an ICT Supporter

To be fair to Robbo he did not have Pele's team anywhere else. I agree with all this, however Robbo has also been keeping an eye on us, and the SFL, he knows what it takes and what will be needed, he know Attacking football is the only way in the leauge.. Terry had one striker on the day!! ROBBOS our man, will he come, will the powers have him....I hopw so!! Cant see it though!

Terry. He would have made promises to the board that if we went down he had contacts.... eh turns out they are all lower leauge English sides with players not making the grade down there.... so we take them on.. Terry end off.. MM is atleast here all the time doing his job.... the team seem to be finding there legs fittness wise but tacktics... eh no.

When leaving i saw this i think, i was the only lad standing forward from the singing section along with GringoJnr i think, when the final whistle went, the lady i saw speak to one of the lads coming down from behind me had actually left her seat about 5 mins before the whistle and was waithing by the gate, as a supporter I like the lads behind waited untill the end of the game and didnt up sticks and leave to try and get out early....... whos the better fan, the ones that stay back or go early???

Foran, has Heart!! its the others that arnt giving him what he needs, Hayes links up with him today, he is one of our better players, and to be honest if we didnt have him... we'd be rock bottom.

CaleyD, Ive often thought that too, why dont we see any of them, Ive seen more ex Caley names at games than current not selected players.. is match day like a day off to them? wouldnt that be like a reward for being pish?

I have to say your right, Gollys not put a foot wrong, that said dont get me started on RD, no one else on the list really gets a hard time from me, Barrowloads isnt getting the games just now for me to carry on my Barrorants.. Golly is doing a great job IMO, he is after all about 55, and to be honest, at our level and money avalible hes the best man for the job, i hope we get him signed up longer, and bazza comes back.. OLD SCHOOL SPL here we come, after all whos the one thats lost us our tallent?

For me this thread it closed, but i will say one thing before i ignore it, When i was little my dad took me to telford stree, Howden end... back then we didnt have this sort of "Familys" keep the swearing down, it was part of the game day atmospher!! I have some other choice comments to make RE familys at TCS but that will wait for another day.
