  1. I don't know if I would want Robbo back, given what happened taking Brew back. I heard whispers a while back about Terry Butcher as manager, and I wouldn't be surprised if Jim Duffy has a clause in his contract at Brechin. I really don't care, just as long as we get someone with experience, who can steer us out of this mess.
  2. Common sense has prevailed, eventually! ... although not entirely. Letting Brew sign four new players then sacking him doesn't exactly show the board in the best of lights. But hey, the man's gone! This has just made my day! I'm living in Edinburgh these days and I wasn't planning on going to the Hearts game this weekend, but I will definitely be going now! The belief that we can beat relegation is coming back as well. The board definitely couldn't have left this decision for another week or two as we could have been totally isolated at the bottom. :thumb04:

  4. It's going to continue until we are so far adrift that the board finally realise that something is wrong. By then it will be too late and we will be heading for the First Division. We have a horrible run of games coming up (Hearts away, Celtic home, Dundee Utd away, Hibs home) and I honestly can't see us taking anything from them with Brewster in charge. If he is not gone this week then I think we will be relegated.
  5. By the time the Hibs game comes around, we could be well adrift and it will be far too late. Our next run of games is Hearts away, Celtic at home, Dundee Utd away then Hibs at home. I am up for some positive action at the Celtic game, if Brewster doesn't do the honorable thing before then and walk away.
  6. It was a "world class finish" from Mensing?
  7. I will add my vote to anything that gets Brewster out!
  8. He not only doesn't have a clue about tactics, but now has no clue about what he is talking about. He needs to understand that the fans are important to football clubs and we pay our money and have a right to our own opinions, just as much as he does. He is another one burying his head in the sand if he thinks that it is just "20 fans at the club" that want him out.

    Brewster Poll

I'm really starting to hate the man. He doesn't seem to care about us fans one bit
  10. Well, Brewster played 5-4-1 against Motherwell. Maybe now with our load of defenders, he is planning 7-2-1 next?
  11. We still need a forward, especially if Brewster is not willing to give Rooney a chance. I don't think Morais will be the answer to all of our problems and at the moment, a lot of people seem to be thinking that he is going to dig us out of this hole that we are in.
  12. we beat them 7-3 in the same season i think. That was a pretty awesome game. Our games against killie though are usually high scoring too and they are the only team we can beat at home so i'm not too bothered.
  13. in our current state, i would definitely not fancy our chances against that team of brew's rejects!
  14. Pressley said that he would play football for nothing, and doesn't care where it is. We should be chasing him down so he can sort out our defence! Or our management!
  15. I agree that the players could take us out of this mess, but we definitely do not have the manager to do it. I really can't understand how the board fail to see this as the weeks progress. Surely they have to wake up and smell the coffee sometime soon???
  16. It was kind of inevitable. What happened to the days where we had all our players on long term contracts, well before January came round? We have lost, and continue to lose our best players. Black is just the next one in a very long line of players who have left or have been pushed out the door. We haven't recovered since Dods left, and then telling the likes of Graham Bayne to leave in the summer when we had almost no recognised strikers on the pay roll. Now our midfield is vanishing before our eyes with Black and Wilson gone/going, and probably Cowie too. Good luck to Blackie at Hearts. I would be very happy to see him stay until summer as I think he would continue to give his all for the club. If he helped us stay in the SPL, the money from that would be a lot more than the money we would get from Hearts in January.
  17. Yes we can stay in the SPL, but only if the board do something fast and get a new man in place before it is too late. There is no point in freeing up money to use in the transfer window and giving it to Brewster, only for them to realise that he isn't a good manager (like we have been saying for some time now) and then getting rid of him. This would cost the club even more money in the long run, and a new manager would probably not be given any more money to buy the players they want. They may not even have time to bring anyone in before the window shuts. If Brewster stays, things will continue until it is too late. By then we could be well adrift at the bottom and who knows if we could recover from it. Something needs to be done. Now.
  18. steve maclaren - actually, he was quite good from some people's points of view
  19. If its true, I think Black would jump at the chance. Brewster and him don't see eye to eye as they regularly fall out. Shame he isn't tied up on a long-term contract. Wouldn't be surprised if he signs a pre-contract in January with any bigger team.
  20. Well if a national newspaper, for example, say that a manager is walking on thin ice, then that club surely wouldn't bar them from attending the games. I think those at ICT who stop local journalists from going to games if they write about the club in a "bad" way, are being a bit childish. The press have a duty to provide both sides of the coin to the public for them to then construct their own opinions on, if they haven't already.
  21. what happened to freedom of speech with the Journos - if they want to say exactly what's going on and what the fans think, then they should. The Board are just trying to ignore the truth. The silence from the club has been deafening. Chairman who?
  22. Enough Brewster bashing, let's talk about the team for a change. Transfer window is coming up and I think we are desperately in need of an experienced forward, and I would also like to see a new centre back as I'm not the biggest fan of Phil Mcguire. As for the forward situation, if Brewster is going to play Barrowman, then there is no point in putting him up there on his own, he needs someone to play with. What does everyone else think we need? Personally, I'm gutted we let Graham Bayne go, without getting in a forward with SPL experience. He always ran himself into the ground and won his fair share of headers. Maybe wasn't the most prolific of scorers, but he always worked for the team.
  23. i heard rangers were after cowie. black must be majorly annoyed at being hooked all the time by brewster when there are clearly others who are having a nightmare.
  24. heard rumours that christophe berra is interesting chelsea, man utd and fulham. if he were to move to any of these, does anyone think he could break into the scotland team and break up the mcmanus - caldwell partnership? or would george burley stick to his guns after calling them the new miller-mcleish partnership?
