  1. Maybe you could take Falkirk's place?
  2. can't say i noticed them fighting, but they were chanting for mixu out at one point. imrie's free kick was horrible! didn't even go out for a throw! how awful was derek riordan today? he had a shocker! very happy we finally won a game and are closer to the likes of falkirk.
  3. Quite often, Proctor kept drifting infield and not staying with his man. He did win his fair share of headers though. Foran still doesn't look match fit. Like Ronaldo said, Foran could be in for a goal against hibs!
  4. Initially thought that Russell Duncan won the ball, but as soon as I saw the ref running over i knew what was coming. He didn't seem to argue much about it though, and i didn't see it on Alba. But hey, he took one for the team and I prefer drawing 1-1 than losing 2-1. Imrie and Odhiambo look like the forward two we have been needing all season, and with a few more games they will have a better understanding. Imrie just needs to learn to look up when he's charging down the field! Our next two games against Hibs and Motherwell are huge. Falkirk take on Hamilton next week I think. We need to pick up the points while the others take points off each other.
  5. And I'm pretty sure that Falkirk play Hamilton the week after. Not the best time for us for this lot to be playing each other. But Kilmarnock have a horrible run coming up so maybe we could gain some points on them over the next few weeks.
  6. He gives away a ridiculous amount of silly free kicks around the box. I've never been that impressed with him. I would prefer Jamie Duff in front of him. I think we should keep him to the end of the season, as cover. Just to be on the safe side of suspensions and injuries etc.
  7. I bet we get Motherwell, if they get through.
  8. Quite a high percentage of Falkirk fans have kind of accepted that they are going to get relegated. Their next couple of games will make or break them: Hamilton and Midden (no idea in what order or home or away). I still think Hamilton have got to have another bad run before the end and our games after the split will be crucial.

Well, considering we got him for nothing, and that we have brought in 6 new players (so far) in the transfer window, I would think that the board would welcome any amount of money for Cowie.
  10. Well I'm confident Blackie will give his all for us for the rest of the season, just like the Machine did. He's one of our best players and we need our best players to be on the park, to get us away from relegation.

Was wondering if it was Brewster back in the dugout when I heard Lionel was playing....but he actually had a great game! I think Butcher will be hard pushed to drop him for next week.
  12. That's probably a better record than Barrowman! I remember he was quite a good player for Motherwell and they were desperate to keep him before he left. Used to pop up with a few goals against us too. I think he could be a good signing for us.
  13. Let him go. He was great last season but this season I think he started to believe his own hype. When he wants, he is a great player, but this season those days have been few and far between!
  14. Part time manager? Don't think so. He only goes away a few times in a year, and even then he will leave all the coaching staff here, then be back in time for our games.
  15. Scotland only play about 5 times a year so it shouldn't be a problem. We don't play when Scotland do. TB has quit his Setanta job so IMHO he's shown commitment to ICT already. We have never had such a high profile manager, and his experience from the Scotland set-up can only help us.
  16. Well the sale of Niculae wasn't included in last years profits etc. But the board know they have to spend because if they had listened to us in the first place, Brewster would have been gone long ago, and not allowed to buy four new players. The cost of relegation would be far worse then spending a bit more (than estimated for this season) right now. Everyone would rather that we stayed up, then worry about sorting the finances out next year, or hopefully with a good cup run.
  17. well surely hamilton are going to have at least one bad run before the end of the season. I'm pretty sure that 9 points is not impossible to catch up on at this stage. Falkirk have been pretty poor all season and if we start picking up points, confidence will grow. I feel confident for the rest of the season!
  18. Definitely not. If they had punted Brewster early December, then we wouldn't be in this mess. And as for the other things rumoured to be going on behind the scenes.... somebody has to take the blame.
  19. if mcbain had been so stupid and mouth off to the linesman then grant wouldn't have been put in that position. i think we might have taken something from the game then. the coaches could definitely have at least put mcguire out to left back - if grant had been in the centre, i don't know if they would have scored their last 2 goals
  20. Best performance I have seen from us for a while. The fight was back and we actually passed the ball about really well. The half time team talk seemed to do the trick, unlike Brewster's, and I now feel confident for the rest of the season. The players are more than capable of keeping us up, but we need to see a forward brought in by the new manager.
  21. phoned them up and tickets will be on sale on match day from the reception
  22. As long as we get a couple of new players in soon, with at least one being a forward, then I think the squad is more than capable of beating relegation. A new manager coming in will also give the players a boot up the backside as they will be fighting for their place in the team, as well as their futures. I'm starting to feel more optimistic since we have removed the source of the problems.
  23. This better not be true because I'm living in Edinburgh! Grrr. Just like the jambos to do something stupid
  24. That's a good shout and a good piece of business! We definitely need somebody with experience. A few weeks ago, I said Steven Pressley, but I don't think I would want him coming in, having no managerial experience, when we are bottom of the league. Don't know if he would fancy it either.
  25. On the way back from the most boring lecture of my life! It made my day.
