  1. me +3. Can we beat them twice in a season? I think so!
  2. It may even be one of the best finishes to the SPL as a whole (although by best, I don't mean in quality of football!). There's a battle for the title, for 3rd and 4th, to make the top 6, and of course, the humdinger of a relegation battle. Anyone of 5 teams can go down as this year there is no Gretna to save everyone else's skins. I just wish we were looking at the relegation battle from further up the table!
  3. Taking Barrowman on was very strange. He tried a bit more than usual, but nothing was sticking to him and the ball just got fired straight back at us. We played well in spells. St Midden didn't deserve to go 1-0 as they had done absolutely nothing before that. Glad to get the three points - the table will look better this evening!

Zaluska (Dundee Utd) Quinn (Motherwell) Bougherra (Rangers) Haining (St Mirren) Wallace (Hearts) Arfield (Falkirk) Brown (Celtic) Black (ICT) Mulgrew (Aberdeen) Fernandez (Kilmarnock) Fletcher (Hibs) It ended up as toss up between Fernandez and somebody from Hamilton up front, but I couldn't think of anybody else who was reasonable in either of those teams so didn't take anyone from the Accies
  5. There are just faaaar too many good players in their team. We don't have a hope in hell! I might see what the odds are on another 6-0....
  6. Yeh Berra has improved vastly over the years, and I have absolutely no problem with him playing CB. It's just the thought of Darren Barr up against the likes of Dirk Kuyt, Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie et al that's scaring the living daylights out of me.
  7. Squeaky bum time for the bottom 5 teams. I'm going to stick with Falkirk, but I don't know if that's just because I want them to get relegated. Kilmarnock are awful right now as well and are the team that I would probably pick as my second favourites for relegation.
  8. I would love it to be! Because then there would probably be other team(s) below us, ie St Midden if we beat them
  9. Fraser Tokely Magics Munro McBain Morais Black Kerr Foran Eric Imrie As pointed out on another thread, Munro is maybe having so many shockers as he is having to bail out Lionel a lot. I think we should try sticking McBain (or Hastings) in at LB and see how Munro gets on with them in there. Morais instead of Proctor, as Proctor drifts infield too much and we end up with absolutely no width on the right. I would put Eric and Imrie up front to run at the Midden defence - keep Foran left wing as he is more disciplined in that position than Imrie ever was there.
  10. I think we are going to get absolutely murdered. Burley seems to have accepted that we won't get anything against Holland and is not going to risk anyone with the slightest hint of an injury (Hutton, McManus etc) if they are not fully fit. As for Darren Barr......well if he plays, somebody can just shoot me now. Our very depleted squad doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for the game against Iceland either...
  11. I do believe that you only have 10 players in your team, cal234ey. We are going to have a hard enough job as it is with 11 men - with 10, the result could be even more disastrous! :thumb04:
  12. At the moment, killie are dropping like a stone. Only the bad form of Falkirk has been masking it a bit. I think Falkirk are for the drop. Bobby Mann signed for Dundee....then they got relegated. Derek Adams rejected our contract offer and signed for Livingston.....then they got relegated. Steven Pressley rejected our contract offer and signed for Falkirk.......
  13. The left side of our team does not exactly fill me with confidence. I go to the Scotland home games and every time I have seen Commons or Morrison play, they haven't exactly done anything special. As for Darren Barr......well that just annoys me. Terry Butcher is still in the Scotland set-up so surely he could have told Burley that Barr is garbage!!! I would prefer to have Gordon in goals as he has proven that he can cut it at international level. I don't think shoving in McGregor against Holland would be a good idea, having only played a few times in friendlies, but you never know. He may be fired up and play a blinder! Kenny Miller puts in some amount of work up front, but I think we are going to miss James McFadden in the team. I heard that Venegoor of Hesselink is in their squad. He has been so rubbish recently for Celtic that I wouldn't bet against him coming off the bench to score against us!
  14. of course they wouldn't! the media don't believe any team exists north of stirling!

or if we are mathematically safe before the end of the season
  16. Onwards and upwards
  17. Thank feck! Let's keep the good form going!
  18. i felt ill listening to it on the radio.....get in there!
  19. Imrie and Eric could do well this wednesday against Davie Weir on his zimmer. He definitely won't like two guys who are half the size of him and running at him all game. Grant Munro has had a few shaky games this season but I would definitely prefer him over McGuire - he gives away far too many stupid free-kicks near our box. I tould prefer to see Duff play if Munro was dropped, but I don't know how well that would work and I don't know if we can afford to be trying out things at this crucial point in our season.
  20. Billy Dodds is a muppet. Something must be wrong if I have the same score as him in my predictor!
  21. can't say i noticed them fighting, but they were chanting for mixu out at one point. imrie's free kick was horrible! didn't even go out for a throw! how awful was derek riordan today? he had a shocker! very happy we finally won a game and are closer to the likes of falkirk.
  22. Quite often, Proctor kept drifting infield and not staying with his man. He did win his fair share of headers though. Foran still doesn't look match fit. Like Ronaldo said, Foran could be in for a goal against hibs!
  23. Initially thought that Russell Duncan won the ball, but as soon as I saw the ref running over i knew what was coming. He didn't seem to argue much about it though, and i didn't see it on Alba. But hey, he took one for the team and I prefer drawing 1-1 than losing 2-1. Imrie and Odhiambo look like the forward two we have been needing all season, and with a few more games they will have a better understanding. Imrie just needs to learn to look up when he's charging down the field! Our next two games against Hibs and Motherwell are huge. Falkirk take on Hamilton next week I think. We need to pick up the points while the others take points off each other.
  24. And I'm pretty sure that Falkirk play Hamilton the week after. Not the best time for us for this lot to be playing each other. But Kilmarnock have a horrible run coming up so maybe we could gain some points on them over the next few weeks.
  25. He gives away a ridiculous amount of silly free kicks around the box. I've never been that impressed with him. I would prefer Jamie Duff in front of him. I think we should keep him to the end of the season, as cover. Just to be on the safe side of suspensions and injuries etc.
