The best informant of the development league (bet365) tells me we are winning 3-2 after 67 minutes. We went 2-1 after 35 minutes then scored on 49 and 54 to make it 3-2

He's clearly not interested in full time football, especially after he turned it down in order to go down a league after leaving Brechin. He's quite happy working as a plumber and getting his additional £650 a week to not have to try too hard.

He has been injured. This was his first game back for the development team. According to the posts on this thread he played and scored last Tuesday too.

If he's fit, whys he not at least been on the bench?

I too watched this online. My thoughts: We really miss Warren and Meekings - we lost two headed goals and two goal others from slack defending. Ryan Christie once again showed he is a class above and made a real difference and took his goal well when he came on albeit Celtic had stepped off the gas by then Dani Lopez also took his chance well

He may have scored but he wasn't good from what I saw.. He is however now playing in the same division as Marley and Billy so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on there. Also it was mentioned but somebody that he was actually offered a contract but when his agent found out he'd be playing in Europe he asked for a ridiculous offer so we withdrew from negotiations.

Think its safe to say you're reading too much into this. Tremarco vacated 18 to take number 3 and new signings took the other vacated numbers (Lopez - 7, Roberts - 11, Wedderburn - 15) and the rest of the squad have just kept their number from last season meaning number 18 has been left out.

I was thinking the same actually, however being left footed I was wondering whether Yogi sees him as a potential back-up to Tremarco also? I might be wrong here, but I'm sure prior to Vigurs breaking into our first team, he fairly regularly played at left-back in the reserves. There certainly would be a case for playing a technically gifted player in that position with our type of football. He played as a left back in the Third Division for Elgin when he was aged just 15 prior to signing for us so he can certainly play there. Might be the closest thing to a Shinnie replacement we could get.

I'm going to assume its not the club's fault but as far as I can see we are the only club supplied by Carbrini whose new top you cannot at least pre-order (Birmingham's is on pre-order, every other team's is available except a couple which appear to be out of stock on home top). On the eve of our fourth game of the season its a bit of a farce really. Why do we not at least have a pre-order? (I know you don't want to get involved but i feel like I have to stick up for the league having previously worked as a reporter for it) I don't think you can really question the quality in the Highland League when the likes of Richie Brittain, Grant Munro, Ross Tokely, Gavin Morrison, Conor Gethins, Stuart Kettlewell, Paul Lawson, Garry Wood, Iain Vigurs (albeit on trial until he finds a club), Stuat Duff, Roy McBain, etc etc are all playing in it. Coming up against these, and other ex-pros, will do a lot more for the development of a young player than playing against other teenagers.

I know its been said that theres no money left but I'd like to think we could SURELY get at least one loan in. I'd much rather develop our own youngsters first but having said that I'd happily take Lawrence Shankland on loan from Aberdeen (its the least they could do for us after developing 3 of the first names on their teamsheet). Shankland scored 29 goals in the Development league last season yet has only made the bench once in Aberdeen's competitive matches this season. I thought he must've been injured but he scored for their U20s team yesterday.

Christie's 'footballing brain' (horrible phrase but aye) would be wasted playing him up top imo. He's far too creative to be chucked upfront.

Cammy Keith now plays for one of the HL big spenders teams Formartine, after they paid around £30,000 for him in 2013, which was apparently the 2nd highest fee paid by a Scottish club excluding Celtic during that window (the highest being Hibs buying that guy who couldn't hit a coos erse wi a banjo from Swindon who I cant remember the name of). Anyway he's currently being kept out of the team by ex-ICT man Garry Wood

Absobleedinglutely. Graeme Shinnie being the prime example of this. After his short 3-4 month loan to Forres in 2010 he came back a much improved player ready for his breakthrough season and since then he hasn't looked back.

After the past three seasons it seems crazy that Draper isn't in anyone's team to start this season's first league game but after what I saw in the Astra games I'd have to agree - I'd be picking Wedderburn ahead of him as well so I'll go with: Fon Williams Raven Meekings Warren Tremarco* Wedderburn Tansey Doran Christie Williams Lopez If Tremarco isn't fit, Williams at left back with one of Vincent, Roberts or Foran replacing him

Nah, he hasn't got a clue. He didn't lead us to our best league position and Scottish Cup glory.

Any update on this? I contacted a minibus firm which claimed to 'beat any quote' and he wanted £500 for a 16 seat minibus which I, without having any idea of how much hiring a bus costs, thought was pretty steep - even if we could fill it.
