That O'Hanlon tackle
Couldnt believe the ref didnt pick that horrific tackle up at the time. I can only think he thought it was a 50/50 tackle. Ref did not give a red card to O'Hanlon, not even a yellow, nor even a free kick. He didn't even give the free kick our way after seeing the stud marks and blood gushing down his shin. What have we done to the refs this season, no penalties, players wrongly sent off several times, and strangely if you look at the fouls we commit compared to teams against us, why are we the team more often with the more bookings? One thing for sure, Richie Foran is lucky to still be walking. Look at O'Hanlons face and expression when he put his studs right through Richie...... reminds me of an infamous tackle on Ian Durrant a good few years back. A couple of inches higher and it could have been Richie's blog as well as Chris Hoggs. Now correct me if I am wrong, we continually get told that if the ref sees a bad tackle and books the offending player, the SPL can NOT take action, as the ref has been deemed to have punished the player. But when its such a horrendous tackle, Im pretty sure they have reviewed it in the past and banned the player. However because its not an old firm player, and just the highland upstarts, it will never happen. Really urinates me off this stuff, especially when we have missed players for wrong decisions recently

Will be interesting to hear Chris Hogg's thoughts on the game.

ICT V Ross Co Record Attendance ?
I have colleagues down in English-shire that have already been asking about the Highland derby in the spl. Like all derbies their would be interest, and the tv income and expanded crowds would always be welcome for that season

Penalties
Our record breakers at it again. First a season undefeated away from home, quickly followed by the callander year unbeaten away from home, Now a full year in the league without a penalty, and a calander year without a league penaly. Next the first team to stay up in the spl without achieving a clean sheet all season! As long as we keep gaining points we can and will keep climbing up the league. Looking at the fixtures, and the others around us we seem to have a favorable run up to the split. Here's hoping our progress continues, and our injuries remain limited

ICT V Ross Co Record Attendance ?
Still 4 others in the hunt really, Dee, Bairns, Plastic Whistle and Livi. Dont think Livi will stay close, but the dark horse to me is Partick. They are starting to click under Mcnamara, and they already have a very good defence. See how close they get as they play each other this week coming. By the way, Falkirk took 1000 up to the recent County game. So home fans were around 3000 for their biggest game of the season, and thats with their stats man giving it 1,2, miss a few 23, 24 miss a few 45 and so on

Penalties
Its a long time since we had one, especially when you consider how many appeals we have had for what most of us feel are genuine claims, Jelavic hand ball last week for one. Can anyone work out how many penalties all the SPL clubs have had over the last season and a half. I know Celtic and Rangers will have had most, as they attack more and have often got the extra men in the crowd, ( and in black ), and we also had the " everyones against us campaign from Mr Lennon "

ICT V Ross Co Record Attendance ?
Cant see how County getting into the SPL will have an impact on our income. Can only see it rise for the season they would be up. Increased interest in North football, icreased compitition between team, more income for inverness businesses, especially the garages ( fuel in inverness is cheaper, and it take more fuel to tow yer house behind you ). Bigger gates than against Dunfermline if its they who go down. Cant see a negative. ICT fans wandering over the bridge to support county in big games, probably wouldnt go to our away games anyway. SPL would also try to avoid ICT and County playing home games the same weekend anyway, same as they do with the ugly sisters, The ednbru two and if Dundee had two spl teams. Can you imagine the train from Perth to inverness with Hearts and Celtic fans, or Gers and Hibees fans onboards, Train station would be interesting place to be. Stadium roundabout before and after games, police up here would advice against stretching their manpower. come on county, dont f up the second half of the season, would love the north derbies to be on SKY / ESPN live, even if it is just for the one season.

Boyd
It cant be overlooked that Turkish clubs have a history of not paying Scottish and British players over their. Its happened quite a few times before with a variety of clubs and players
-
Boyd
It was on the radio tonight, Boyd terminated his contract, because the Turkish side he signed for have yet to pay him a monthly wage. Been in Turkey 5 months and not been paid, and has termed his contract like the Hearts players could if they didnt get paid. For sure he would score goals for us, and given the chances we have made he would probably make top scorer in the SPL, but alas I doubt we could squeeze ?10k a week out of the board to get him. Will be astonished if he doesnt end up at Ipox, since Naismith got injured they aint the same

Matchday Thread: Rangers -V- ICT
when Foran kept playing, caley had just won the ball back off Rangers who had kept playing themselves after Jelavic went down injured. Commentators on radio said because Rangers had kept playing caley shouldnt stop when they got the ball. All legitamite, also sky sports reported that our offside goal should have stood, as did BBC HD with Gabby Roslyn

Champions League
And it cant be said that Fergie has as much influence over European refs. Was partly hoping Rooney would be sent off for kicking someone after losing the ball, just before he goes to say that is out of character tomorrow. Priceless the commentators banging on about Basel players going down quite easily when Man U have Nani

Socrates - Dead
Evening Times must have missed this, as he passed after the deadline! Remember how he ran the show against Scotland in Spain. Didn't that Brazil game involve a couple of Inverness people getting sacked from their jobs? Seem to remember a couple of guys holding up a sheet with the words painted on it "if the world is a stage, why are all the clowns from Inverness" and they were caught on camera. They had stolen the sheet from their work at the Station Hotel, and had both phoned into work sick for the week before jetting of the Spain to watch the World Cup!

Aluko "Dive"
The SFA should actually announce that every game will be reviewed for simulation in the SPL, since the cameras are at every game. Then they should warn all the clubs and players that anyone found to simulate will be banded for 2 games automatically, and 4 for repeat offenders, with clubs only allowed to pay half their wage will banded. That would stop the cheating. However, we would end up with an honest league game, but that wouldnt help us when we played internationals
-
Aluko "Dive"
Yeap, you can clearly see that the defender running across and behind him touches his arm, but quite clearly it aint a grab or a pull or a punch. No reason to go down like a sack of tatties. Think he was over keen to appease the knuckle dragging support after his lazy gaff against Killie. Aluko not a known offender from what I can remember, so what should they do, it would have been a booking for simulation in the game. Will be interesting to see th eoutcome, after Samaras got away with his Simulation against us to get the man advantage a few weeks ago. simulation is cheating, no matter where on the pitch it happens. Did anyone see the Dutch simulation on A League of their own the other night?

Keeping the faith
I said a while back that our season would start in December. Injuries and constant changes to the team made our start to the season a nightmare, and I kept saying we are not a big enough club to deal with so many injuries. We had enough players back in November, but our run of Killie away, Celtic and the referee at home, and Hearts away didnt really give us a big chance to get much out of the month, but I did say our players might just get match fit enough to make our season start in December. We now have that 2 month run of winnable games, injuries allowing, before a hard February. Looking forward to climbing the table to even challenge the top 6 we crave so much. Well done today boys.

Another Loss
Hey folks, I said a good while back that our season will really begin in December. No need to worry, as I had said if we can stay within touching distance with the rest, and get our injuries down then it will change in the month. Our injuries are clearing, just 2 or 3 out now, those back are getting fitter, and we now have a run of games throughout December and January where we can win. November was going to be very very difficult to get any points out of the 3 games, the media hyped good footballing Killie away, The we are all Neil Lennon bandwagon at home, and Jam tarts away. Thought we might just get one point out of the nine, but we got Three, and our goal difference stayed the same as the start of the month. Now December brings St Mirren away, Dundee Utd home, Rangers Away, Aberdeen Home, Hibs away, and January has St Johnstone home, Mothers away, and Hearts and St Mirren both t home. We will start to pick up points, our goals conceded will reduce, and we will get off the basement. Have faith. Can also see Kilmarnock getting dragged back down towards the bottom soon, although I think Hibs will now improve enough. Between Pars, Dons and Killie for me to be rplaced by the caravan dwellers

LENNON'S TRAINING INNOVATION
It is merely an adaptation on the old trick the Lennon melon, where when blocking the view of the officials, you make it look like someone turning away actually headbuts you so hard your legs go to jelly. Although tv highlights and photographs and the SFA deem this to be not what happens, Giorgios Samaras will still take out a book of his memoirs where he states he was elbowed in the eye

Tansey Appeal

Tansey Appeal
Looking back at the incident, Tansey did " look " at said sack of Greek potatoes, before trying to challenge in the air for the ball. Looking into the sun, the referee probably say the " look " from Greg, but when looking up towards the challenge couldnt see exactly what happened, but with Greek potato instantly clutching has face after the air rifle bullet caught him in the shoulder, the ref added the equation together, nil nil glasgow celtic lennon must win game and came up with the perfect answer. RED CARD. Now seeing the live footage, and numerous pictures in the papers it is obvious that no elbow was used, the momentum of both players resulted in Greg Tansey's hand raising due to the connection between the two players. A simple foul, no yellow card, no booking, no red card, no spoiling of the game. However, I bet that all the live footage replays and photographs are probably banned from the appeal, as they may influence the decision of those representing Celtic, sorry the SPL.

Penalties and striking
Iain, Remember that well, But we have a clean reputation as far as diving is concerned, which shows when some one does dive. Other teams must practice their diving from an early age, so they get it somewhat convincing, McGeady style, Mackie esk, and so on. Maybe thats what Terry often means when he calls the squad a bunch of good honest lads!

Why do Celtic dread playing us
go easy on the blow DC, it tends to distort the truth maaaan

Penalties and striking
Heard Terry being interviewed after the game, biting his lip a bit he commented on the lack of decisions going our way. With all the injury problems we have suffered, the officials decisions have given us little chance so far. Hoggs sending off - I can understand why it wasnt overturned, but it could have just been a yellow on the day. Tokely - perfect tackle but because it was against the blue unwashed, it couldnt be seen as the ref wrongly giving the old firm an advantage. Tansey - didnt deserve to go, but wont be overturned due to the same reason as Toks, so as not to upset one half of Weegie city. It has often left me thinking how we end up with so many players sent off, with the team committing so few fouls over a season compared to other teams! Penalties. We have had none in 15 games, but plenty of appeals turned down. Sure not all appealled were penalties, but the law of averages says we should have had a few, not forgetting that several should have been. Are the refs conspiring against ICT. Is it a directive from the beaks, Dont give Caley Jags any decisions, as they voted and were outspoken against the 10 team SPL. Tel talked about we should go on strike to get our way, The refs did that, Celtic wouldnt stop going on and on about their ' Bias against us ' campaign, until they got more than their share again. Do the refs hate coming so far north, that they will give decisions against us?
