  1. to early to tell without knowing we have Toks, Blackie, Messi and RVP signed up. Anyway I hope and expect a 4-5
  2. Job done. No panache though. Hibs winning tonight could have been an absolute nightmare for us opening up too much against Dunfermline. Can only imagine the panic if Pars had scored, going away to the Buddies needing a result with the prospect of a final day showdown against Hibs would have echoes of Falkirk all over again. Think Terry and Mo will just be glad to get this season over, so many injuries, WRONG sendings off, lack of penalties blah blah blah just think next season clean slate and the derbies are back. Time to push the caravans over the edge
  3. Ahh, missed that, was working both Saturday and Sunday, and couldnt get radio reception.
  4. Staggy4life. You amaze me, wheres the charity shop in Dungwall. I thought it was a static caravan. Refreshing t shirt I saw someone wearing a couple off weeks ago, it said "Caravaners do it in Dingwall"
  5. Remember he was hoping to play before the end of the season again, and know he was training a few weeks ago. Anyone know if he could made the bench tonight or at the weekend?

Is this the mother of all seasons for us. Since we joined the league, have we ever had so few penalties in a season, had so many sent off and suspensions over the season from bookings, and have we broken our record of scoring our oppositions goals. We know that we have never had a season to match our injuries before. Combined, it must be our hardest season.

Our season will effectively be over tonight when either Dunfermline drop points against us or Hibs fail to win at Pittodrie. For us to go down, both The Pars and Hibs have to win each game, and that cannot happen next Monday night. I think we will get one win and a draw in the next 3 games leaving us on 36 points. Jay_7 dont forget our abundance of penalties this season.
  8. Always felt Zander was a bit of a liability, but we need experience at the back, and a period in England may have improved the guy
  9. Have to be honest with this. Have always felt we got it hard from the refs, as when certain teams we come up against appear to be fouling throughout the game, and some really bad ones, we are the team to often suffer. What i mean is we commit say 9 fouls and get 3 or 4 players booked, the opposition commit 20 odd fouls yet get away with one booking. I know its how bad the foul is, but I have always felt that we get hard done by, as being at the games you feel that our bookings were often soft or incorrect, whereas the opponents get away with what are sometimes blatant unsporting behaviour. Always felt this with Celtic, although not this season, but felt that they were in past seasons really over physical and committing loads of fouls which we never got - although I havent thought that of Celtic this season - as i think they are a better passing team now and dont rely on being over physical. Also, how many booking were undeserved on us this season, and as Luke pointed out, the likes of Tokes perfect tackle against Rangers and he is sent off for being too good. Some of the decisions are consistantly very very poor, but its not just here, The Englandshire premier league is an uttter joke after the Man Utd v QPR sending off being upheld. Wrong decision, and if I were QPR i would have made an awful lot more of that decision and taken it to UEFA or something. By the way Im sure that I saw a disiplinary count list in one of the papers a weeks ago, before Hayes sending off, that also had us with the 5th worst record in the league.

First game up could be the derby against Keflavik. Was up there last Summer, and spookily saw Grindavik v Hjafnafjodur ( i think ). Most of the games in Iceland are almost derbies as the bulk of the Premier teams were in the south west of the island and all about 30 minutes away from each other. The clubs facilities in Iceland put us to shame really, even though the clubs are no bigger than our 1st division mainly. Know one of the players at Grindavik or Keflavik, so I will give him a call in a few weeks.

Did Clayton MacDonald play yesterday and miss a penalty

I honestly cannot believe any Northern Irish, Welsh or Scottish players would even think they would play for Team GB for even a fraction of a second. If any of them do I hope the national association never recognise them again and they are never allowed to be forgiven, no matter who they are or how good they are.
  13. The annoying thing about players who do this is they are actually good enough to not do it. ie Christiano Ronaldo. Its cheating, no other word for it. FA should ban those caught for 2 games per offence. Diving, feigning injury, and the more recent changing your legs direction to make sure it collides with the opponent. ALL CHEATING. Heard Tom Daley is packing in before the London Olympics, as he has seen the new pretender win two weeks in a row
  14. If you look at the refs position he probably didnt see Ledleys handball clearly ( ball to hand, but you are not allowed to have your hand in an unnatural position ) ( when you see Premiership players in the box, and Italian, and Spanish they now always block with their hands behind their backs or held to their sides ) but Euan Norris did duck down as it hit Victor Wanyama's swinging hand to get a better view. One of the two of them made him make the decision. The fact he told Celtic players it was Wanyama kind of rules out Ledley from the blame, and becomes laughable when Celtic say Ledley must have got some tan when he gave it for Wanyama's hand ball. Offside goals, missing sitters, a blatant dive and a non hand ball by Webster, yet Ref gets abuse that if we did that on a Friday night on the High Street, in fact, any night, we would be in Porterfield until the courts opened. Everyone knows he has passion for Celtic, but before they go off on one they must get their facts right first. Maybe its someone as green eyed as Neil Lennon who is looking at the replayed incidents and saying it should have been for us.
  15. Any chance they switch to Murrayfield, to avoid the potential travel problems of two sets of fans on one train etc. Well done to both Hibs and Hearts, have to be honest did not see past a Dons Celts final. and alas the Lennon hate everthing non-tic goes on again. Everytime they lose, he loses it. No tact, no dignity, and no reason for complaint apart from their poor finishing again. Ki misses twice from 2 yards, and Ledley from one yard, nobody else to blame.
  16. Can not see anything in his complaints. Ledley had his arm in an unnatural position, blocked the shot, and then it hit Wanyama on the hand too. Celtic get an offside goal, ok it was marginal, but refs are against them. And their claim for a penalty, Websters arms were at his side and I thought it hit his ribs ( although I may be proved wrong about the ribs ). Whats the complaint, that the ref gave it for Wanyamas hand ball and not Ledleys!!!!!!!
  17. Dougal going by your past and present comments on here I hardly think that it will ever be classed as advice you will be shouting at Terry. You will be one of the fans that the players hate, jumping on their backs at the slightest mistake and slagging of just about all that the club represents. Why not change the record, Thistle is history, Caley is history, but both to be proud of. Why not like the rest of us get behind the club for a change. otherwise why not take your great admiration of County and go support them wholeheartedly, the way you support them on here. I know a few people who go to County every second weekend, but its because they are football fans. I hate Rangers, Celtic and Man Utd along with a few others, but it doesnt stop me watching them on the box, hoping they will lose each week.
  18. Dougal must be the man with the biggest chip on a shoulder. Pre merger this pre merger that. None of it would have been relevant if Thistle had got in instead of Ferranti, as it happens they didnt, and who is to say if THAT merger didnt happen then County still got in with Gala!!!! You cant change our history, so banging your head of the wall for 17 years aint done you any good. Put the hammer and violin down and either join us or take the caravan on offer over the bridge
  19. Steve Evans left as Rotherham are a bigger club with bigger ambitions, moving to a new stadium in the Summer, so longer term better prospects. He said his family live in the north and will be closer to them, but I bet the main reason is Crawely board sold their two top scorers in January, against his will. Matt Tubbs was one of them now at Bournmouth I think. That will be the real reason, do you want the cash or promotion. Previously Steve Evans would have wanted the cash, but he got caught for that a few years back. How times change
  20. We are now safe in the SPL for next season, and about to be joined by the caravan dwellers. Given we dont know who we will have to make us spark next season, or Hibs or even HMRC newco, Where do you think we will end up compared to C*unty next season. I just wonder if it will be a Hibs County relegation battle, or will more be involved at the wrong end. Could be the most boring SPL ever, with a clear favorite for the title and relegation all season long.
  21. Hibs aint been that much better. Pars no home wins though, Hibs just the one home win. Dunfermline now need 12 points from 15 to pip us.
  22. Every one has know Rangers have been in serious debt for a good number of years. Over the past 4 years they had managed to get this debt down a huge amount, to what was reportedly around £18m. During this time they had been paying their PAYE and VAT and tax. The Big tax case was something seperate that Rangers have found themselves battling after administrative/technical errors which the HMRC have closed the door on. Enter Mr Whyte, pays £1 for club, borrows £x million ( £27m i think ) and uses that to pay off bank debt, and then doesnt pay the tax, vat and paye. Excluding this BIG TAX case, Rangers should not be in this position. Having cleared the bank debt, even with borrowed Ticketus money, they should have paid everything else easily enough. The fact that he did noy pay anything to the tax men since he took over shows the mans intentions. I think that Craig Whyte should be the man who owes Ticketus the £27m, not Rangers. He must be a total con man. It also makes me think why are Aberdeen looking to build a new stadium when they are already in so much debt, as this will increase the burden at a time when money is such a big concern for the future. I fear that the debts the Dons are taking on will do the same thing to them. Anyone remember the level of debt Celtic were in when McCann came in and saved them, as I seem to recall they were days from administration back then too. Difference between Rangers and Celtic now, is Celtic got McCann when they needed him, Rangers got Whyte when they didnt!
  23. St J are better away from home, so we have a chance. Mind you we could have a blinder and get beat
  24. Also wonder who from the under 19s will be offered a deal to try get into the first team squad. Polworth still has another year in the 19s, so its Chubbs, Sutherland, Dingers, ETC
  25. All this drivel because we lost 1-0 at home to the team with the best away record in the SPL, and then after we boss and batter Hibs, who score with all 3 shots they have in the entire game, and we created loads of chances but luck wasnt their today. Im looking forward to next season, as I can actually see the basis of a very attractive team and style of football.
