Another great night
Your 'big' team don't seem to be doing too much better.. Least the Huns made it to the CL Group Stages. No, but i would prefer to be in the Europa league and drawing against teams such as Rapid Veinna who beat Aston Villa than playing in the CL and being destroyed by first a top class Sevilla side Who, as it happens, Rangers thought they could beat. Then they get pumped by a small time club from Romania.

Butcher and Malpas' contract
Oh well we aren't going to win the league then because Leigh Griffiths doesn't play for us! Might as well just give up now! We are only a quarter of the way through the season. We can easily catch up again we just need to get the momentum going and become more consistent. Some people on here need to have a reality check! We have no god given right to win this league we need to work for it. But thats the point. We expect the players to work and they are not. Thats why we are all so angry.

Butcher and Malpas' contract
DC; Renegade: Fair enough, you don't rate Butcher as a manager; I have doubts myself. But can either of you explain why it would benefit the club more to sack him now, accrue extra debts for the club paying off his and MM's contracts and leave a replacement (probably of equally or more dubious pedigree) to fashion a winning side out of TB's signings, rather than accepting we're going to have a poor season and allowing TB and MM to walk away at the end of the season at no extra cost to the club? And if you can't, don't you think it's potentially counter-productive to be so relentlessly critical of the management team? I'm not having a go: I've just not been convinced yet by any of the arguments in favour of changing the management team mid-season. P.S. Apologies for not being able to quote properly from multiple posts in one reply - maybe some kind person less technically inept than me will explain it some day... Maybe is we "Dispose" of them we wont have to give them a fee :D

15 years ago if I'd known that the hard work put in by so many people to get us into and up the leagues would be undone by the actions of those in charge of the club over the past two or three seasons I would have been far from delighted. We have come a long way, but instead of consolidating our position and trying to grow and develop to the greatest extent possible for us, we're going backwards. This is what I object to You've perfectly summed up my feelings . I for one am not " delighted to be where we are just now " . Thats the problem with our support , because we were in the SPL for a while we'll now accept any old dross . But we won't, we'll walk away. We are a club. Clubs natuarly develope and get better. Saying that you are happy where we are is saying that if Celtic or Rangers finished 7th in the SPL, a fan would come on a forum and say "I never thought we would win that many trophies when we started out and i would be delighted to be where we ae just now.

Butcher and Malpas' contract
Certain "Supporters" shouldnt be at the game if they cant get behind the team like Butcher requested ! I for one dont blame his reaction , our team were Dire today & the atmosphere was woeful too The Atmosphere has always been woefull but no other manager has sworn at the fans! Brewster got more abuse than TB will in his life yet no swearing from him either.

Hayes
Well if he is out for a few weeks we always have nick ross as cover or eagle I don think he will bother with Nick Ross.......Unfortunatly.

Home and Away
That's an interesting point. For a time last season I was fairly regularly puting up formations in the "Team for" treads that were 4-2-4, or similar sorts. As you can imagine, some were foaming at the mouth that someone would dare even consider breaking away from their beloved 4-4-2, or 4-5-1. I seem to recollect a few folk once going 4-5-1 with Odhiambo up front by himself! Seriously, you couldn't make it up. What you say about Barca is interesting as well. Under Guardiola and previously under their last boss, Barca seem to go quite regularly 4-3-3 from the start that becomes a 3-2-5 when on the attack. Obviously the two wingers go foward as old style wingers and a defender goes forward and helps out in midfield. Does it work? Sure it does. Look at Man U right now (or last season anyway) they played a very fluid formation, and I reckon ICT seem offerly keen to stay in formation these days, something that could lead to a downfall. It would have been diffrent when we were in the SPL as if we lost goals it was hard to get back so defending was always going to be the main option, but now we are in an attacking league and we are too scared to do it. I think we are on the same wavelength on this one Exactly what i mean. If we play 4-4-2 but have it that our wingers make it a 4-2-4 at times then we will be flying! We would rip teams appart but thats not going to happen under the current reigme im affraid.

You can say they would have saved us: Mark Brown- Was a goalie who saved the shots he wasn't expected to im sick of the ammount of times have said oh well the goalie was unlucky couldn't have saved it. John Rankin and Don Cowie- Were both pricless in providing assists for the side and were prolific in scoring from midfield to. Darren Dods- Was a man mountain who used to win us games single handely by blocking them off lines and also had a very healthy record of scoring. Craig Dargo- Only need to point out 2nd topgoalscorer in spl behing boyd. Hasten to add even Brewster playing himself up top would have been better than some of the mugs within the team last year. I would rather Esson over Brown though i know Esson didnt get a game during the run-in

Damn, but if we had rolling subs in the first division

Rooney
A few people were shouting that Sanchez was useless yesterday, though i think in the short time he was on the pitch he was probably one of the best players. He played well and i think he is needed in the team to link up the midfeild and strike force as we havnt had that all season.

Home and Away
Im serious, we need to play with atleast 4 upfront.....Im not crazy... We currently play with 1 upfront no matter if we mean to play 4-4-2. One of your strikers always get pushed back or pushed to the wings. I think if we play 4-4-2 but have it that our two wingers get forward so its more of a 4-2-4 at times. Thats the way the likes of barca and such play. I know we arnt Barcelona, but its a start!

ICT -V- Dunfermline : matchday thread
EH? feck knows what game you watched, because after the break was our best spell, we went for the jugular, we had Pars in all sorts of bother for 15-20 mins. As per usual..we couldnt score when it mattered. He sisnt say anything about half time. Maybe he means when Foran was taken off? As if he does i agree. From his raction he didnt seem injured.

Team for Ayr
I doubt Hayes will be fit for this one. I will go for...... --------------Esson -Tokely--Munro--Bulvitus--Golly ----McBain--Cox---Imre -----------Sanchez --------Foran---Barrowman
