Interestingly, Chris Sutton's Wroxham FC don't have a midweek fixture.

Ah well, I suppose we will just have to concentrate on the boring old football for the next few days.

In the unlikely event of the Daily Record knowing anything, Paul Hartley would be far and away my preferred choice out of those three options.

I think their goalkeeper is fairly highly rated but we are pretty well covered in that area.

ICTFC U20s
The under 20s seem to have developed a concerning trend of surrendering leads.

A trophy and further compensation from a 'bigger' club when he moves on. Maybe Richie Foran would be ready to step up by then.

Where have we heard this before Exactly my thoughts! In a way he isn't lying as the club haven't spoken to him, only Alloa chairman for permission. Weve learnt to take everything said with pinch of salt and if he wasnt a priority we wouldnt have approached him. Odds havent been shortening on Hartley for nothing. Hoping all this is sorted and we get him. Got a good feeling that he is the right man for the job. Both BBC and STV are saying we approached, nobody has denied we have approached. Clarification from the club would be nice IMO I disagree. In my view, both clubs are doing things in the right way in conducting their business in private.

Pretty brisk news day I think.

For those who were becoming impatient, I have a feeling that things might move rather quickly now..

I would not be at all unhappy with that, especially if he was combined with an experienced assistant.

The Treble.
If my arithmetic serves me well, often it doesn't, right now one of four... Arithmetically maybe......but can you really see hearts gain 31 points more than Celtic before end of season. In answer to question......We could do it but we wont. Tonight Celtic will realise they wont even make the Europa league so will be all out to win Premiership. They wont be resting players any more. We could match them and stay second but I cant see us overtaking them. Sadly, in reality, only one team will win the league.

Much better to get the decision is right rather than quick.

It would be interesting to get someone who is a tactician. Butcher was a motivator, Malpas was good at organisation but I don't believe either were particularly adept at reacting and making appropriate and timely changes either to style or personel in the course of games.

I have no difficulty with successful managers moving on as we are a relatively small club and will always be limited in what we can offer managers in terms of salary and player budget Compensation for Paterson, Robertson, Brewster and Butcher moving over the years has probably amounted to the best part of a million pounds.

Butcher offski?
I see Butcher will be dealt with on the 5th of December for his conduct while the rammy was going on during the Dundee United League Cup game. From my vantage point, I saw it all and what he did was simply outrageous. Worthy of at least a ten match touchline ban in my view.

Butcher offski?
He will need to concentrate on steeling the whole of the current Hibs squad.

I wonder if that means someone currently out of work ?

Nail on the head. Managers are expensive. On top of that we are far north not everybody's cup of tea if you live in the south. Being 2 and a hafts hours drive north of Edinburgh must put a lot off. I think we are just a stepping stone. Low wage and poor facilities to quote Butcher, will not attract the likes of Levine . I really think we have to look locally, maybe not too far away. I have no animosity to Terry and Maurice they have served Inverness well. they deserve a chance at a more fashionable club. Nail on the head. Managers are expensive. We dodged a bullet once before when we offered McCoist the job. Thankfully, as the time, he wouldn't leave Sue Barker for George Fraser.

Steve Marsella has left the building.
We'll need it to put towards Richie's new contract A worthy cause indeed.
-
Who will Butcher try to get from ICT in Jan
What he says.

Steve Marsella has left the building.
On the plus side we get a wee bit more compensation and are now saving on his salary.

Ah well. At least the bulk of the first team squad are signed up until at least the end of next season. Gives us breathing space to find someone to do the scouting.

Butcher offski?
No, I think the problem lies with us discussing what is now past history rather than focusing on the glorious future.
