  1. Damn. I was hoping to move this to Rumour Mill and for it to stay there. Good luck Liam and thanks for some really good memories. I hope he gets a great reception when he steps on to the pitch on Saturday, he certainly will from me. I have no doubt that between now and the end of the season he will be fully committed to trying to get us back up into the Premiership next season.
  2. Where is it confirmed ?
  3. Strictly speaking, the club could but the income generated would then be fully taxable which is why such things are generally organised by committees at arms length from the club.
  4. We only need to take one and the Pars only need to slip up once. I know which position I would far far rather be in.
  5. Whether he stays or whether he goes he has been a great and loyal servant to the club. The boo boys may be pleased but they will be very much in the minority and if he does go our team will be the poorer for it whichever division we are playing in.
  6. Let's also hope we are practicing penalties both for taking advantage of any we are awarded and also any potential shoot outs.
  7. That's an impressive level of pessimism even for this site !
  8. True. Quite remarkable. With only three games left to play, we are one of only four teams in the division arethetically safe from relegation.
  9. It may not have been pretty but, barring catastrophe, that point just about guarantees our play off spot. Important now that we manage our small squad and do our utmost to keep our discipline and avoid bookings during the last three games of the regular season. We can't afford to be carrying injuries and/or suspensions into what are likely to be very closely matched and competitive play off matches.
  10. Close completion between Brad Mackay and Shaun Rooney for the most defensive errors in a season.
  11. Assuming he doesn't further strain his groin walking from the dressing room to the bench.
  12. Whilst Yogi often tried to make a point about not having the depth of squad he would like by naming only four or five subs, I much prefer the fact that Robbo is prepared to give our promising youngsters that experience.
  13. Absolutely not OFW's fault. He accepted an offer which was as big a gamble as giving a rookie manager a lucrative five year contract. Neither gamble paid of and the club continues to pay the price.
  14. Sadly, unless we are promoted any spondoolicks back in the coffers will go towards the accumulated debt.
  15. I have every faith in Cammy Mackay. Would much rather have a committed youngster keen and committed to playing than someone who doesn't want to be at the club and who the club doesn't want.
  16. Which is why Morton are likely to be such dangerous opponents on Tuesday. We can't afford any sort of semi final hangover if we are going to take anything from this fixture. It may be a nightmare from the point of view of trying to sustain full time football on the finances available but it's a fascinating division from a competitive sporting point of view with each and every one of the ten teams either vying for promotion or battling relegation with only four games to go.
  17. After an appalling start where he made the ball look like a slippery bar of slope, Ridgers has developed into the best and most reliable goalkeeper we've had since Jimmy Calder. He has the ability to play at a higher level than the Championship and would be a great loss.
  18. However, by contrast, look how well Livingston have done on lower crowds and less money than we had when we were in the top tier. We have done it before and we are capable of doing it again. First however, we would need to play to our full potential and cut out the damaging defensive errors in the play offs which I am now confident we will be part off. Fans need to play their part too and turn out in greater numbers both home and away. Those who don't often attend away matches, I include myself, would I am sure, have attended the final had we won on Saturday. Instead we can surely go to the away leg of at least one play off match and supplement the normal loyal and vocal away crew. Gain promotion and this 'wish list' thread might actually gain some relevance and that for sale sign alluded to by OCG might just come down. If ever there was a time to back the team it's over the next few weeks.
  19. If a third of those who made the journey to Glasgow four years ago made, for most, the much shorter journey to the Longman there would be no financial concerns at all. Never mind, it could be worse, we could be Aberdeen fans !
  20. I am not entirely convinced that we can afford another one.
  21. To be fair to the players, I saw little sign of nerves. Just lost to a team that were more physical, more clinical and who made fewer mistakes.
  22. We certainly missed Donaldson who brings stability and skill to the defence. Hopefully, both he and Tremarco after his injury yesterday, will be fully available for our continuing promotion push.
  23. They would also need a very significant turnaround in goal difference. A point would almost certainly be enough in practical terms.
