  1. Have you the faintest idea of the state of our finances, the thought that we could tempt Fraser Fyvie to the club is just nonsense
  2. Realised that after I posted but couldn't be bothered changing it ?
  3. Even if we are promoted, he is likely to be paid more at County and needs to consider his future. These things are cyclical. Time was when players like Don Cowie, Ritchie Hart and Andy Barroman moved in the opposite direction for the same reason. I have little doubt that, in time, the cycle will move on again.
  4. I would settle for him going OTB as long as I was guaranteed seeing him play against us in the league next season.
  5. Hopefully, everyone appreciates the time and effort put in whether they use it or not.
  6. To be fair to the SFA, not a phrase that can often be used legitimately, the culprits are the SPFL and the motivation is self preservation on the part of the top tier clubs. I thought the system was grossly unfair when it was introduced, even though it could have potentially benefited us, and it's no less biased and unfair now. I think we should have consistency throughout the leagues. I am generally content with the bottom club in the division above playing off against second, third and fourth in the division below. However, I would favour an unseeded semi final draw played home and away followed by a one off final played at a suitable neutral venue.
  7. Well said, it's a pity that some more of his critics don't give him the credit he has deserved for some time now.
  8. Graeme Shinnie has signed a pre contract agreement with Derby County. Must be terrible for the Dons and their fans to have their club captain poached my a larger wealthier club and to lose him for nothing at the end of his contract.
  9. Not too interested in outdoing County but it would be great to beat the system and be the first team finishing below second in the Championship to get through the heavily weighted and biased play offs and achieve promotion to the Premiership.
  10. Hopefully, will be useful next season for visits to the likes of Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Aberdeen.
  11. As long as we don't concede more than one. That will do me.
  12. Job not quite done yet but a massive stride towards the play off semis. Well done to everyone including the noisy band of travelling fans.
  13. Would be very content to take any sort of lead back to Inverness.
  14. To be fair, he didn't say which decade.
  15. Looks like nobody is thirsty !
  16. The real question is not whether we can afford the costs of going up but whether we can afford to miss out on promotion again. I, for one, am deeply concerned about what the answer to that question might be.
  17. Today is definitely the biggest game of the season so far. Hoping for five more all of which deserve that title.
  18. Church of Scotland job surely !
  19. An ill judged wrong quickly put right. A step in the right direction.
  20. That would strike me as the common sense solution but that is a quality that the Scottish football authorities are not necessarily known for. A lopsided Highland League might suit us. Perhaps our youths/reserves could play the idle team on an informal basis as we did before in similar circumstances.
  21. Very reasonable. No reason why we can't attract four thousand home fans for the most important match in two years.
  22. Agreed. He has been excellent since and will be a great asset in the play offs.
  23. Far from impossible. Last season we won five of our final six matches and drew the other. Emulate that and we will be kicking off next season in the Premiership. We can do this.
  24. Having beaten East Kilbride in the play off semi final Cove Rangers now play the SPFL's bottom club Berwick Rangers for a place in League 2 next season. A question born out of my ignorance. In the event that Berwick lose, where do they go ? Surely even the Scottish football authorities wouldn't have them in the Highland League with journeys from England to the likes of Wick and Brora undertaken by part time players seventeen times in the course of a season.
