  1. Since no one else has said it....well done Rory. After all he was an ICT player. He showed promise in the reserves everytime i seen him but didn't quite make it in the first team and to be honest looked quite hopeless at times but i'm glad he has found his form and probably his level. I really hope Brechin manage to get promoted this year to give him his chance in the first division.

  2. At the moment i would say he was average, If he was to leave us he wouldn't be highly missed as i think we could bring in someone who has the same qualitys reasonably easy. However i have full confidence in Bully and have a good feeling that he'll do well for ICT. and would love it for him to stay on after the summer. Perhaps might not ever be one of the key players but he will do well as a squad player overall.

  3. to be perfectly honest i cant be @rsed trodding on eggshells on if we jinx it, theres no such f?ckin thing! Whats going to happen is going to happen but il tell you this, if we dont organise some sort of theme it wont happen. You could argue we could organise it after the next game but show some belief and get on with it.

    Black watch tartan it is...

Im thinkin about the 'bloody' part of the bandage, colouring it in the night before is my plan!lol!

What about using red food colouring? Costs about 50p from any supermarket.

  4. and Cox deserves a new deal as well, he is starting to show his form again.

Agreed, but I'm very concerned that County might use their cup money to sign him. And weren't there once rumours that Brewster likes Cox?

    :tonguecheek:

I could be mistaken but after Queens reached the final they didn't go on to spend loads on player wages and steal them from bigger clubs did they? I'm pretty confident County won't be stealing our players and it'll be the other way around. They have some good players that could do a job for us in the SPL. They ain't playing one of the OF in the final either so filling hampden isn't going to be as easy, meaning even less money than a normal cup final.

  5. One game at a time ffs.

Don't talk or think about Ayr until after Saturday, we'll jinx it.

and Dundee still have two games to play before the Ayr game. They'll slip up in one of them and the title is ours at Ayr when we beat them regardless of saturdays result.

Kilt and the bloody bandage sounds like a brilliant idea, who's in?

  6. Dundee lose on saturday, County draw or lose and we win - the league is ours mathematically

Dundee draw on saturday and we win - the league is ours on goal difference and if Dundee then draw or lose midweek to Raith and the league is ours before Ayr

  7. I really hope Dundee don't lose and we win on saturday, I know it sounds terrible but i want to see us winning the league. Whether its at Ayr or on the last day of the season. Dundee to draw on Saturday and us to win. Leaving it upto goal difference against Ayr will do nicely.

  8. Just booked my ticket, Row T upper main stand cracking seat. Just need to get transport sorted now, scotrail want 45.80 return!

The megabus want ?15 return, The difference being you could go up and down the A9 3 times on saturday if you wanted for the price on the train.

  9. For the avoidance of confusion, the AEK that were defeated by Juanjo's strike are AEK Larnaca, a Cypriot Second Division side, not the more famous AEK of Athens. Juanjo's team, ASIL Lysi, are a very small club as suggested by the tiny crowd at the game.

Still a bigger team than us if they can recieve an extra 6 minutes highlights though

  10. Put your flamethrowers down here before you shoot me down in flames, but are any of you planning going to the cup final? Apologies for posting this on the ICT thread but I thought more folk would see it on here as opposed to the general nonsense thread. I've spoken to few of my friends - mostly Aberdeen fans from the highlands who are planning it. I also spoke to a friend today who is a pars fan who is also planning it (all in the county end). I'm half tempted to go as both sides play decent football but on the other hand I grudge giving them cash.

I'd be up for going to this one. As original post stated

  11. After years of being criticised, bad-mouthed, appreciated by only a few, Kath has had enough and is giving up being the Supporters bus organiser. I certainly appreciate all she does for the Supporters Club, but few others realise all the time and effort she puts into the Club. Who wants to take on this thankless task, with this list :-

Every season, bearing in mind countless changes in diesel costs, prices have to be negotiated - this season a 51 seater needed 45 bums on seats @ ?12 (current price per person) to just about break even, a 29 seater cannot break even and a mini-bus likewise. Most buses have run at a loss and so the Supporters Club has to subsidise the cost but this cannot continue. The seat price has to remain competitive with public transport but fund raising events are only attended by a few and requests for other ideas for raising money have been unsuccessful. Over 40 local/national firms were asked for sponsorship of the buses with no joy (replies could be counted on one hand).

The bus convener gets countless phone calls and texts (even when on holiday) for seat bookings (then cancellations as the person is getting a lift, going by train, or worse - not even turning up on the day, thus leaving empty seats which may have been filled. Taking verbal abuse and website abuse, when a bus is not going to a game (Morton for example) despite not enough names to even cover half the cost. Taking abuse when the bus is full (demands for another bus to be put on - even for 5 or 6 - evidently their right to get a seat on a bus) - this hasn't happened whilst ICT in SFL but will likely happen again when we are in SPL. Then there's all the whys - Why are we leaving at that time - we'll be too early, or, what about the roadworks - we'll be late for the start of the game; Why go into Perth, why not go into Perth; Want to go to the pub, don't want underages near a pub; Want to sign on the bus, don't want singing(!). (PS I have tried to encourage singing a few times but all the young boys up the back preferred to sleep!).

So, who has the answer ? And, more importantly, who will organise the buses in future - bearing in mind that the rule of "no alcohol on football buses" is strict and if any booze is found in the bus, the driver, the Club and the organiser of the bus are liable to receive heavy fines. It isn't Kath's rule, it's the Police's, and the bus HAS

Do we still get a bus to Ayr next saturday?

  12. I would absolutely cream myself if Aberdeen were relegated. McGhee is a terrible manager.

I'm quite surprised though that he's doing so bad. Not because i think he's a good manager but because surely Aberdeen have enough quality players to be avoiding what is happening.

His record at Motherwell wasn't bad though was it? Its strange how it doesn't always work out for managers.

  13. League. That shows who the best team is over the whole season.

    And next season it's gone.

Bet ICT fans won't be talking about an away win in the First Division at Queen of the South in 60 years. They would still talk of a Scottish Cup win though.

No, but they will be talking about the amazing unbeaten run, the league win, and becoming the first ever team to bounce straight back up!

Pitty we aren't the first team to ever bounce straight back up though!!

We are since the new league system came into play in 1998.

I've said the league was more important and it is. I'd rather be in the SPL anyday over winning the cup but for living in the memories the Cup will always be remembered. Gretna went from the second right up to the first but i couldn't give a damn. League records about bouncing straight back up ain't as memorable as a national cup win.

  14.

Nothing like a good knee jerk reaction is there?

 Nothing like a good wind up, but seriously how could an ICT fan think about supporting them? Honestly I really am ashamed of the fans we have at times. Sometimes, in the dark recesses of my mind, I wish I had gone over the bridge at the merger. They really do have a more "football fan" like following than the ultra-PC up their own @r$es shyte we seem to have been saddled with.

Wish you were C*unty, you only wish you were C*unty. They wouldn't have you though you soft @rsed bunch.

Why would i wish i was County? I've been an ICT fan from the start and that isn't changing. All i meant by "support" was to be in their end. If they didn't win the cup i wouldn't be bothered, but i'm also not going to be bitter about the situation they are in. They beat Celtic 2-0 and deserve to be there and well done to them. Going to the cup final also does not help us lose fans, fans can't just jump ship and if they do then they obviously don't support their team enough by either buying merchandise or through gate receipts, these are the part time supporters you talk of. Not fans taking in a cup final because a highland team has made it. This sort of fan wouldn't be missed by ICT at all. Who would have thought that would have happened 20 years ago, its a massive feat.

It just happens to be County that beat Celtic yesterday but i'd have been the exact same if it was any other small team that beat Celtic.

  15. Mine would be this:

    Esson

    Proctor, Tokely, Bulvitis, Golabek

    Duncan and McBain

    Hayes, Odhiambo, Foran

    Rooney.

I EXPECT Butcher to maybe go along with me but change McBain for Stratford, what do you think fellow fans?

That would be my selection but I reckon that TB will play Stratford in front of McBain.

Yeah i completely agree with that also. Its a shame we probably won't see Roy again.

  16. Any fan who wants to go to a cup final to support their biggest rivals is a disgrace to their club. I cant belive this is being discused. Would this happen with any other club? No, would it f***. Embarasing.

Do you not think the Raith end would be full of Dunfermline fans, wanting to "put Fife football on the map?"

No but i bet they'd like them to beat Utd!

  17. Again i don't understand this. Do you not get enjoyment out of just being at a football ground? I would certainly go to cheer on Ross County if it was a chance for us to win the league, Just as Partick cheered us on at Clyde because they thought they wouldn't be getting relegated. I bet they had a great day out and that was what was probably intended. Watching football on TV has never really entertained me unless it has been ICT that has been playing but at football grounds its completely different, the atmosphere alone makes it much better viewing regardless of who's playing.

I'd rather go watch Embo City and listen to the radio for updates.

 You would be gutted if we didn't have a rival team to moan at wouldn't you. The old school fan has to hate their local team with a passion and hope that they go out of business but when it actually happens they have nothing to do apart from actually support your team with no hatred involved anymore making it that little bit more boring for them.

I'd have thought after the merger ICT fans would be a little bit more open on these sort of things. How can you be so anti Ross County in going to matches to see them that could benefit Inverness or to see a highland team take the Scottish Cup. Surely you were as anti Caledonian or anti Thistle as you are today so how did you deal with seeing the two teams together. I'm surprised you actually had the sense to keep supporting ICT. What would you do if County and ICT merged?

You just can't see the bigger picture can you? Only interested in going along hoping to get high on the atmosphere of someone else winning a trophy.

Is this because it's Ross County? That statement doesn't seem to look like it. The atmosphere will be good at Hampden but as RIG said before alot of ICT fans went to see Gretna when they were in the final. Its all a great day out for football but its not glory hunting or supporting another club part time.

I would also take in a Clach game in the Scottish Cup if they were to play around my area in the central belt against one of the 4 league sides. The unlikely hood of a team winning a cup match makes for a great day of football i think. Not jumping on the bandwagon and celebrating their victory with the clubs fans.

  18. Yeah its got to be Raith. I always like to see first division teams giving the SPL a hard time. It would also call out for a larger SPL and people might actually take note of this if there is two first division sides in the final.

  19. Any fan who wants to go to a cup final to support their biggest rivals is a disgrace to their club. I cant belive this is being discused. Would this happen with any other club? No, would it f***. Embarasing.

By the way, are you all going to join in when they sing 'stand up if you hate Caley' like they did for most the match against Hibs?

No i reckon if there was a small ICT following at the final we could get some friendly banter. ICT hopefully win the league and County fans will be happy to be in the final, A great season for the highlands.
