I think we are allowed to sign anyone that has been released from their club although i've got a sneaky suspicion Partick will pip us on signing Duff. 8.50AM on the ICT website and still no news about Dougie leaving.

Does anyone know if this is actually happening? Could it be that this is all just speculation. Why would Killie, Hearts and Hamilton be interested in a player that doesn't even start for us at the moment. Surely they'd see Hayes as the better option.

Why? What has Dougie done that has made him hated by alot of the fans. He may blow hot and cold at times but he's still one of our best midfielders. We should be offloading others before him IMO.

It may have been that long ago but the diehard fans aren't going to forget that. If St. Mirren signed Tokely (and he was deemed technically good enough) there would be alot of unhappy fans on match days.

I know that but i mean if he was to stay we may well perform better in the cup and get a few thousand from playing the OF away in the Quarters or getting to Hampden. At a long shot if we won the league that would mean more to us than the money we'd get from Hamilton and being without a team next season in the first. Its also not 100% that he wouldn't stay with us and sign a new contract at the end of the season.

If we need to free up some wages in the squad then Barrowman should be leaving and even McBain if he's never going to be played. We may get a good price for Imrie off Hamilton but i think keeping him would give us more cash in the long term. If he can help us in the Scottish Cup and we get a tie against the OF in the quarters or even a Semi Final at Hampden we'll be better off. The league still isn't over either and as long as we have a chance i don't think we should be getting rid of players that still have something to offer at ICT.

We still need Imrie in the squad. If there's any suspensions or injuries in midfield he is the excellent replacement we need. No one else on the wing is good enough to challenge for a starting position either so maybe the regular starting midfield may get complacent if he was to leave.

I thought i read a while back that if County were to win the league they would have new seats in place for the start of next season.

Excellent news for us! Dundee seem to be blowing it, County 6 pts behind with 3 games in hand.

County need to win for us to have any chance of catching Dundee.

If we win today and County beat Dundee we'll be 10 points behind with two games in hand. If we won those 2 we'd only be 4 points behind with a long way to go. IF IF IF!

Excellent news. Does anyone know if his contract is up in the summer? This deal may be made permanent in January if he performs well over the next month. I seem to remember him being linked with us before in the past, can anyone else recall this? Its encouraging to see TB is trying to sort out this crisis and hopefully he'll add to it by bringing in a couple of defenders next month.

I agree that McBain isn't rated by TB. After some of the howlers our players have played this season he still hasn't been given a look in. This i think is quite strange as he has so much experience and in my opinion he deserves a chance to prove TB wrong.

This time last week i was dreading the QOS game. Now with a little shake up in defence i'm surprisingly excited to see LDZ and whoever fills RB in the team. I haven't been a big fan of LDZ this season and in the motherwell game he didn't even look interested but he CAN play good at times so maybe this chance to get into the first team again will spur him on.
