  1. Just done some homework and Clydes biggest lead against us was 7 points, that we pulled that back with 8 games to go. Our biggest lead over Clyde was 6 points, well early into the season after 8 games.
  2. JOCKY Scott last night insisted Dundee haven't had the credit they deserve for their Treble tilt. The Dark Blues boss, who is gearing up for Saturday's Scottish Cup quarter-final home clash with Raith Rovers, said: "If you'd told me at the start of the season we'd be top of the league, get to the quarter-finals of the Legaue Cup to be narrowly beaten by Rangers, win the Alba Cup and get to the last eight of the Scottish Cup, I'd have bitten your hand off. "Everything has been covered over by one or two bad results, so we possibly haven't had the credit we deserve." Do you still think he would bite your hand off? tut tut Jocky, you just weren't good enough....
  3. Ian McCall was manager of Dundee Utd for no more than 2 seasons and i think he also played for Dundee in his career.
  4. You got any more facts? You seem to be a Dundee insider ....
  5. I've supported Jocky wholeheartedly all season and argued with the naysayers but todays result on the back of the recent run made his position untennable in my opinion, and i agree action had to be taken. It's obvious problems have developed behing the scenes and taking no action was not an option,so Yes, i am happy with the decision. Ok thanks for the answer..for me its a very strange one, I can understand the reason behind it to an extent as Dundee were struggling recently but if you just look at the position the club are in it looks bizarre, 1st in League, won a trophy and 2 quarter finals, has any manager ever been sacked when in such a position before? Has anyone ever blew a lead as much as Dundee had at Xmas?
  6. Eh? Sorry if i didn't quite explain it properly, I just meant that from our remaining 11 matches, last time around (against all those other clubs earlier in the season at the same grounds) we managed 0 points and we are already 4 points higher than we were last time. As we were beaten by Queens and County both but this time we managed results. Dundee on the other hand are even worse off than last time.
  7. From 11 games to go we have now managed 4 points, last time around we managed 0 points. Dundee last time managed 2 and this time round they are on 1. Thats a 3 point improvement already and still 9 games to go. Dundee have Queens at home next which they drew last time around and we have Airdrie at home where we picked 3 points up last time.
  8. Ah well there you go, Partick and Queens have to be out of the running now.
  9. Ah, Didn't realise Dunfermline scored again.... I would still say County are the main threats right now though. We've beaten Dunfermline in the league this year, In all the County games we've been the worst team and i'd probably say we have been again today.
  10. Dunfermline drawing against 10 men? I think we should be more worried about Ross County just now, after all they are the team that has the game in hand over us.
  11. Queens well out of it is well now, 2-0 to Ayr
  12. 2-0 Airdrie! YAAASSSSS hahaha
  13. YAAAAASSS!!! I've still not heard this on the radio so i don't believe you's!!!
  14. Looks like we've gone for Esson Proctor Tokely Munro Golly Duncan Cox Hayes Odhiambo Eagle Rooney
  15. County are pilling the pressure on us. If we don't watch it they'll eventually get through.
  16. Dundee still haven't had a shot on target but seem to be playing better. A draw today wouldn't be a bad result for us against County - i think this game is our hardest of the season left and hopefully Airdrie can hold Dundee.
  17. Barrowman to score? :D Interestingly Griffiths has been dropped from the Dundee 11.
  18. Considering Sanchez is injured that is the best possible team we could have played. Good choice.
  19. I don't quite think that's how people see Lionel. All through the season when he has started i've thought he could do a job, its not until he makes that crucial mistake though when people start turning on him. When he plays he sometimes looks lazy and not interested. I think his days at this club are now numbered.
  20. :D Cow shed, are you County in disguise?
  21. If we win on saturday then i think we'll win the league. At the moment i believe but i'm also aware that anything can happen in football and its very hard to call.
  22. Thats not the point though, Alot of people would rather see Sanchez play instead but the chances of Nick playing again are high and THIS thread has a purpose of supporting him. On other threads its more than acceptable to say how you feel about Nick not playing well at the weekend and that he's not ready but thats not what this one was about.
  23. The sub heading of this thread mentions not an opportunity to slate Nick Ross, as Harry says he is only 18. This thread was meant to build his confidence up if he reads these forums and that is highly likely. Give the guy a break and criticise on other threads. If you play on saturday Nick, good luck!
  24. Dundee WILL find some form before the end of the season, i'm sure of it. I just hope by then we have pulled it back to at least 3 points. Taking the league on the final day of the season on goal difference. As for the other teams i think by next week we will understand who is still in the running. With us playing Ross County and Dundee playing Queens the following week that could eliminate both of them leaving us and Dundee and maybe Dunfermline depending on how they get on.
