  1. Agree : although our problem is scoring. If we can start scoring two or three per match, we should make the play offs as the defence is for the most part pretty solid. Mind you, last season, I kept hoping (believing) we would eventually turn it round..............
  2. Spot on my friend. As things stand, we are as close to the relegation play off as we are to promotion play offs. Very disappointing that we are not at least safely tucked into the promotion play off positions (higher the better given the PL weighted system). Far too inconsistent and struggling to beat teams like Brechin and Dumbarton (no disrespect intended).
  3. Exactly................hope Robbo has his scouts on the road seeking a goal hungry striker looking for a spell in Inverness.....................
  4. Decent striker urgently required (22 goals in 20 games) : in with a shout in most matches but lack of firepower is costing us dearly. Need to turn draws into wins and narrow defeats into draws.
  5. Cripes so it is! Another potentially tricky one : old rivals who seem to have picked up this season and a match we need to win if we are to have play off aspirations.
  6. Dodged a bullet there by the sounds of it : losing to Brechin would have been a new low. St Mirren away next : could be a sore one unless our performance level improves : will be there although with no great optimism. Keep plugging away and we might scrape into the play offs, but can't see us going up especially as the system is so heavily weighted in favour of the team which finishes 11th in the Premiership. Only in Scotland could the powers that be devise such a illogical way of doing it.
  7. Would love to be proved wrong but we have only won 2 of our last 5 league matches (St Mirren and D Utd 4 each)
  8. Realistically a play off place is the best we can hope for : St Mirren are almost out of sight with virtually half the season gone. Impressive defensive record but against teams like Dumbarton (no disrespect) at home we should be scoring more. Crowds are holding up reasonably well.
  9. The next 5 matches (up to Hogmanay) are all eminently winnable. My glass is always half full, so here's hoping!!
  10. Too much sitting in defending a slim lead : even at 1-1 we carried on in the same vein. Should have played the whole match like we did in the final 10 minutes. ......and too much hit and hope hoofball a la ICT last season
  11. Three tough league matches coming up (against what most would see a 'bigger ' teams : then Livvy and 6 pointer against Brechin (ffs). On current form could imagine us adrift after that lot.................. Depressing stuff.
  12. I thought we were dismal last season : definitely by a big margin the worst ever. team Haven't seen the team play this season, but early season results against the likes of Stirling Albion, Brechin and Forfar did not bode well...........and seem to have been carried over to the league. .................nothing coming out of the club to indicate any measures to sort the shambles out. County seem a much better run club , especially when they can attract the likes of Owen Coyle (I know Uncle Roy has deep pockets but Tullochs have done pretty well by us over the years). Unbelievably we are staring a Championship relegation battle in the face as things stand.......looking at the table there is an ever widening chasm between us and possible play off contenders.
  13. Bit of a deja vu : except we're a division lower........... Just when you think things can't get any worse! Not quite found our level yet it seems. I'll take 10th now. Pele's teams would have thrashed any of the teams we've had in the last 15 months.
  14. The thought of another relegation battle really doesn't bear thinking about......... Surely things must improve?
  15. Reading the posts, another sad day in the decline of a team that a little over 2 years ago finished third in the top division and won the cup. I couldn't believe how bad we were last season : albeit only went to a handful of matches towards the end of the season. Things do not appear to have improved : annoying thing is that none of the teams in the championship are any great shakes but we seem unable to get our act together even at this level.
  16. So glad I couldn't make the trip over to Dunfermline on Saturday : bloody tragic. We seem to have become a feeder club for County. Changes needed pdq : at least only Utd have full points and we're only 4 points off second!!
  17. We'll just have to await developments. How about Paul Sheerin with Charlie Christie as his assistant?
  18. Yup, respect to him if he walked. Never pleasant to see someone losing their job ; all the best for the future to him and his family. Speaking from personal experience, leaving Inverness is a bit of a wrench. Onwards and upwards : the next chapter in our glorious history beckons...........

    Relegation Day

Was fearful that would happen : by all accounts Dundee very much already in holiday mode. Too little, far too feckin late................ Get our act together (and going on this season's show that's a big ask) we should have a good crack at the Championship. Realistically, that should be without RF at the helm. Perhaps he and MP could change roles??
  20. Confident the boys will do the business : all hangs on Dundee doing us a massive favour.
  21. Well on the positive side , we've dodged two bullets in 24 hours. Another win on Saturday and you never know................... Even then. another 180 minutes before we know where we will be playing next season. Oh, for a stress free end to the season. Yup and why leave a performance like that until the 37th feckin (league) match???? Must be some time since we kept a clean sheet,,,,,,,,can't be bothered checking. If it was in our hands only, I would be at the match on Saturday,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but it's along way to go when other events could well dash any hope of a reprieve. Will be at the play offs though!!
  22. Agree 100% with PerfICT. Is there anyone in the Board looking at the forum / listening????? They need to come out immediately our fate is sealed and give at least an idea of the plans. If it's stick with RF I will despair : decisive action needs to be taken now ffs.
  23. The silence from the Board all season has been deafening. Unless there are realistic plans (more of the same will certainly not do) for next season in the Championship, I can see a continuing downward spiral. The few matches I have seen have shown why we are where we are : no passion, shape or leadership. We played better football back in the Division 3 days.
  24. Watched on TV : should have had 5 or 6 at least. Some woeful (embarrassing) attempts at finishing and such a soft goal to concede at the end. Two winnable away games coming up but we have to be more clinical when chances come along. There is still a pulse.............just. Still convinced RF is not the man.
  25. Therein lies the problem that has become increasingly apparent : no fight. Agree that by whatever means RF has to be gone by Monday morning at the very, very latest. Just hope we get organised and bounce back like we did the last time we went down.
