  1. I would be interested in doing it I do want to become a football commentator/reporter in the future and i would hope this might be my first taste of what it takes to become one
  2. this seems pretty pointless now :P
  3. Lee, have you even looked at your own forum Here are some of the quotes i have picked up: "we all know we wont win all our games because we are not good enough. ICT have strolled to this league and they are worthy winners IMO" "good luck to ICT next season cause there aint a hope in hell it will be us going up" "Yes it is blew it big time as per cant see ICT losing again this season now they are in front" "I now think the pain and misery the ICT players must have felt that day has driven them on to the title. They haven't lost many points since then have they?" "Good luck to ICT next season, their players have shown how they are clearly a better set of players than we have at Dundee" We haven't one anything yet but i think we have the drive to go on and win it. Maybe we have "bottled it" a few times this season but i think because of these past experiences the players will be desperate to win the league now
  4. I don't know about Derek but i think that was the best "anti-football" performance i've seen in a long time
  5. a good drunken snowball fight outside here in smithton :D
  6. Hibs weren't promoted under the current system. The current system being 12 teams in the SPL which has been in place since 2000-2001. Prior to that (the season Hibs were promoted) there were only 10 teams. You can't compare different league set-ups hence that seasons omission. Thanks Dannydoo please read FULLY before posting
  7. I've been quite contented to sit on the fence and watch from afar the constant swaying of negative and positive attitudes to ICT and the managerial staff. ICT's rise to the dizzying heights of the SPL surprised many pundits and supporters alike and after FIVE seasons in the Spl Caley thistle finally found themselves walking the plank and plunging back into first division football. Being the SPL club it was all to easy to suggest our quick return to the SPL with the squad we had and what (at the time some people thought) a superb manager. Things haven't turn out like this so far and already some of us are jumping on "The sack Butcher" bandwagon. But stop and ponder some of these interesting facts about the relegation of spl clubs and the fate of their managers. (I decided to start my research from season 2000-01 as it was when the 12 team SPl league was introduced) 2000-01 St. Mirren(30 points) were relegated and then manager Tom Hendrie lasted one season in the first Division where St. Mirren finished 8th. Tom Hendrie was sacked in September 2002 after a heavy defeat to ICT. Livingston were promoted that season. 2001-02 ST. Johnstone (21) were relegated, Manager Billy Stark lasted 2 years before getting sacked, Partick Thistle were promoted 2002-03 Motherwell (28) were relegated but controversially Falkirk weren't promoted as their stadium didn't match SPL criteria 2003-04 ICT PROMOTED!!!! Partick Thistle (26) relegated Gerry Britton sacked in January 2005 (Caley allowed to groundshare with Aberdeen, much to the disgust of Falkirk) 2004-05 Dundee (33) relegated, Jim Duffy sacked after four games in First Division despite Dundee lying top. Falkirk finally promoted 2005-06 Livingston (18) relegated, JOHN ROBERTSON sacked April 2007, St.Mirren promoted 2006-07 Dunfermline (32) relegated, Stephen Kenny sacked 4th of December 2007, Gretna promoted 2007-08 Gretna (13) relegated, Hamilton promoted 2008-09 OH DEAR! ICT (37) relegated, St. Johnstone promoted To Summarise: Shortest length of time returning to the SPL: St. Mirren 5 seasons Only three teams have ever returned back to the SPL: Falkirk, St. Mirren, St. Johnstone Three teams have beeen relegated again after dropping from SPL: Partick Thistle, Livingston, Gretna Shortest Managerial reign after relegation: 4 games Jim Duffy Longest Managerial reign after relegation: 2 Years Billy Stark I welcome any feedback good or bad, and any additional information you may have. Some of the information provided may be incorrect so please inform me if you have different info
  8. i was at the game today and i've got to admit Caley were playing like a spl teams at times during the first half, the passing was immense, some of the link up play was outstanding and Caley showed a little bit of bite in defence for a change imo the main problem for caley is that they couldn't believe they were 2-0 up and to be honest cruising, Terry wasn't sure that making a change at half time would improve the team. Caley couldn't afford to defend for 45 minutes against dundee formidable striking options but unfortunately they did, and were beaten for it. But, from where i was standing the 2nd and 3rd goals from dundee were slightly dubious offside goals IMO But, after today i think the future is bright for caley, they kicked the long ball tactic for most of the game and caley need to prove that they can fight back and show there true metal come on terry, remember england v sweden thats the fight you need to reinstate into the players
  9. anyone see rooneys attempt at an overhead kick :dancing03: some goal it would have been, shame he didn't hear his fellow Irish teammate screaming for him to leave it, poor rooney good 3 points, a nice birthday present i suppose

  13. Inverness will make the trip up to Harmsworth park to facce Wick Academy for the chance to claim a place in the final Inverness host Albion Rovers in the League cup on the same day as the Wick match baring in mind that Inverness would of played Dundee away in the league only three day prior to this match So, any small ideas on the match squad and who would possibly manage the team for Wick

  15. Is that furreal? That is up there with wrong kind of snow and leaves on the line. It is their pitch, they determine the grass length! Supposedly "new machinery" was tested on the pitch, not sure why they didn,t let players train on the pitch to get a feel of it before the game

  19. Finally saw the highlights of the game to which Coxs' last gasp winner is just suberb Bit amused by Jim Mcintyre post-match comments in which he said the length of the grass didn't suit Dunfermline style of play and on the basis of it Dunfermline were robbed Shut up Jim Your from Dunfermline, you should know what it's like to get robbed
  20. Odhiambo has only played 17 games in his entire career and he's only 20
  21. 7 out of the 10 First Division clubs have match highlights on their websites shame 1 of them isn't us Ayr, Clyde and Dundee all require memberships to watch Dunfermline, Raith, Partick and Morton are free to watch (so i believe) Struggling to get the Dunfermline highlights however shame, want to relive that moment again and again and again
