Just watched the highlights, and puzzled how we didn’t have the game sewn up. Looked a dodgy offside call, and some finishing that was not clinical.

The only very slight consolation from today is that Alloa were 2-0 up and looked like making it a 3 horse race, but ended up losing.

FT 1-1 On 89 minutes we were gaining 2 points v Stenny, but a few minutes later they have actually gained 2 on us. Can’t do anything about their late winner but we can control our own performances and that was a very disappointing result. We should be winning games like this but often struggle to score goals.

I think it would help if the authorities could ban the wearing of masks at football matches, but it is hard to enforce when there are hundreds of them doing it.

Struggling to think of a better example of ‘2 points dropped’. Scrappy first half with a handful of half chances for us. A more dominant second half with a handful of clearcut chances and it’s incredible that we didn’t put any of them away, but some of the finishing was really poor. Great away support but we all left disappointed.

We truly are spoiled. In Ayr’s >100 years of history they have never won a cup, and since they last reached a final in 2001/02, we have reached 8 finals!

That must have been some team talk at half time, we came out looking so much more solid all over the pitch and deserved to win.
