My wife did her bit to help club funds by getting me a home top and a new scarf. Old scarf has served me well but is getting a bit ‘tired’ after almost 30 years of active service and is going into retirement now. That scarf has been present at nearly all of the momentous moments in our history but I guess it’s a case of new scarf for a new era!

Another late but well deserved win, and it looked like another goal direct from a corner (was at the far end from us so hard to know for sure). We were the better side and dominated the second half in particular, with the wind behind us, but as is often the case we lacked any cutting edge in the final third. When we did have clear chances or tried shooting from outside the box, the finishing was often woeful. And it’s increasingly clear that we need a striker to challenge/replace Billy, sorry. The pluses for us were that the defence did its job, Savage won everything, Mousa made a great save tipping a long distance free kick onto the bar, and in midfield MacKinnon and Allan did a lot of impressive stuff. The fans turned up in good number (200?) and were in great voice from start to finish. Great scenes when we eventually got the breakthrough, and again at FT, and we will all be feeling good tonight.

Our scorer that evening was Billy McKay. It actually went to penalties and we won the shootout.

When a press conference takes place, can someone get a stopwatch out and calculate how many thousands of pounds it is costing the club in BDO’s fees?!

I see the administrators have racked up fees of £252,000 in their first 7 weeks. If only Gardiner and Morrison had tried boosting the club’s non-footballing revenues by setting up a firm of administrators rather than a battery farm!

End of November and we are already out of all 3 cups and have absolutely no chance of winning the league. Worst season ever in that regard, yet we still have so much to play for!

Disappointing result. Love the Scottish Cup and ICT should always be in it beyond the first hurdle as far as I’m concerned. It normally takes a decent team to put us out.
