Battery Project - Chairman's Statement
This would seem to be one of the biggest days in our history in terms of off the field activities. After all the negativity, criticism and derision on this thread, I think there should be some recognition of the achievement of the club and its partners to have firstly conceived this remarkable high benefit, low risk deal, and then to push it through and overcome the considerable planning permission challenges. Morrison and Gardner have played an absolute blinder here, haven’t they?

Queens Park - Feb 3rd 2024
The highlights show that we played some stuff and it’s a surprise that we failed to score. As for the goal we conceded, defenders just standing back and letting him get all the space he needs to take a touch and pick his spot, oh dear.

For comparison Dodds in the Championship averaged 1.5 points per game, Ferguson is on 1.35.

I’m feeling very confident about this. 🙂 We never win when I feel this confident. ☹️

If he had spare cash at the time and decided to donate it to bail out the concert company, I suspect that the vast majority of that money would have gone to the multimillionaire artists and not to local businesses. And then he would not have had the money to inject into ICT and keep us afloat.

I think that’s a fair summary except on point 6. Morrison has a charge over ALL of the club’s assets, not just the shares in the battery company. So if those shares are worthless he’d still be owed his money and the likelihood is that the club would have no realistic means to pay him back for the foreseeable future.

The documents are Ross Morrison being granted security over the club’s assets (including ICT’s battery farm company) having put money into the club in the form of a loan. Similar to what a bank would do if it lent money to a business.

January Transfer window news
So we haven’t been able to offload Lodovica this window? Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets mutual consented in the next few days.

January Transfer window news
He was prolific in June 2022! Got most of his career goals that month, it seems. Must have something about him to have earned moves to Getafe and Luton, even if he never played for them.

Hard to imagine we have the money for another signing but if we could get another player in, what would you want? I’d suggest a proper winger is something we lack.

How many loanees do we now have, is it 7? Massive rebuild needed in the summer.

Carson’s a battler and has been an asset for us over the years. Sad to see him go, but can’t blame him for wanting to experience 3 months in a higher league.

Ex-ICT players' news
Yes it had to happen due to their terrible league position, yet he did so well last season, and this season in league cup and Europe. One of my all time favourite ICT players.

January Transfer window news
Livi are getting relegated and will not be bouncing back up any time soon. If he goes there it can only be for the money (which I can’t imagine would be life changing as they are pretty skint too)

Battery Project - Chairman's Statement
Oh dear. Looks like the club have done well to remove some of the grounds for refusal but there is absolutely nothing that can be done to prevent the loss of a small amount of open space, it’s a pretty inherent part of any development.

Raith Rovers Jan 27th
Samuel was very sharp and alert, and took his goals well…but some of the defending made it a bit easier for him.. For his first, watch the Raith no. 3 who is too busy claiming for offside when he should have been getting back as quickly as possible and could have got a challenge in if he had. For our 3rd, Raith’s 21 was sleeping and failed to get a challenge in.

Just watched highlights of Maidstone’s remarkable win at Ipswich (shots 38-2 but goals 1-2) and saw Manny Duku playing up front for the visitors. He only signed for them a few days ago after spending the first half of the season with a side in Gibraltar!

Now entering the phase of the game where always seem to concede and drop points. Let’s see what we are made of now.
