Willie Collum
I have said it before what he lacks is man managment skills. Refs used to have a word in your ear as they went past you, no fuss no bother but you knew you had been told, the game benifitted from this approach. The ref earned respect. The game is about football not individuals, having said that some players need to look at themselves.

William collum ref for cup final
As i have said in the past he controls the game using cards instead of common sense. If he would only speak to players I am sure he would be a better Ref, he is very fit and gets up and down the park well so he is on top of the game, it is not a sign of weakness to get through a game card free. It would normally indicate good man management.

Not sure about the pitch it looked perfect for good football wind may have had an a affect, the main spoiler on the day was the ref, normally one of the better ones. The boys done well!!!!!!!!!!! Hope Brill recovers ok always feel secure when he is in goal.

light pollution Inverness
In my experience as you travel up the A9 you leave the pollution of the cental belt behind. everything becomes much clearer, you can see for miles, the air is good so can anyone explain to me why referee's appear to loose their ability to see things happening when they step on to caley park. Yesterday we had a man mountain running round the pitch clattering anything in a blue shirt which was apparent to all but the referee. I have to say this not the first time this has happened which makes me think it must be somthing in the air uphere. having said that we were not at our best yesterday

Collum
I see Willie Collum has had his knuckles rapped. He has a tendancy to control matches with his cards rather than common sense. A quiet word in an ear should be the starting point of control. He is very fit but doesn't seem to have a feel for the game, and as for the decisions it would appear his positioning is not what it should be. It can be a thankless task having done it myself, not to the level he has attained I might add, a quite word can save a lot of hassle during a game and build up a mutal relationship with the players makes the game better for all.

Inverness CT -V- Ross County
Rubbish and ok sums up how I felt the game went. Must speed up the back passes to the keeper, should instruct the waterboy to put the water jets in the goal area allow the ball to swim to the keeper. If our performance requires a well watered pitch we should be brilliant come the rainy season!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Rangers -V- Inverness CT
What concerns me is it would appear that we using a system which is keeping the ball in our own half by moving it around quickly but only playing in one half of the pitch. I feel sorry for Billy we really don't need a centre forward. When looking at the goals we scored this season they have all been good individual strikes apart from one. It would appear that hughs tactics stop at the halfway line. We need to start playing football in both halves. Football is a simple game defenders defend midfielders create and forwards score. You can jumble it up a bit but its no good playing great football in your own half it must lead to something and as yet I have not witnessed it. Some great goals but usually individuals skill such as Tansy strikes. Bill should take a seat and a newspaper on to the pitch for all the support he gets. I am not convinced Hughs system is right. as i have already said most of the goals apart from one have been great individual efforts. we need to get back to 11 man football or a team game.

Hot afternoon good result. Not convinced with the passing game Billy must be fed up of the lone striker role. Time will tell still a good result

Can Yogi maintain our momentum ?
Not clear in my post, it was yogi quoted in the p&j
-
Can Yogi maintain our momentum ?
Back to the topic I see in the p&j today the reason we had such a bad run in was due to injuries and suspensions not the fact that a new system was being introduced

Can Yogi maintain our momentum ?
The only thing I would like is to see us playing football from the mid field. I am not against footballers at the back but I think teams will press higher up the field against us once they suss our system.
