  1. Did Gazza finally get a Cup final medal? Were there enough to go round ?
  2. Putting a positive spin on it DD, Getting 6,000 in the stadium would have been a success but overall if they had gone away disappointed then it would have failed. We didn't achieve the former so we didn't really fail on the second. Maybe pay what you can is a bit too vague for someone dipping their toe in the water, perhaps people just want to know what things cost, no catches. "Eden Court pay what you can, what's the catch" Maybe a wee thank you for the fantastic Cup final support. With having X amount of St holders its a safer bet doing this from time to time.
  3. Getting back to the pay what you can attendance. We can't blame the cost of the match as the deterrent. We can't blame the team as you have to turn up in the first place to gain an opinion. Maybe it's kind of like the Interest the city has shown when we get to Cup finals, it wasn't there to begin with but now the whole city gets involved. Maybe the attendance is a work in progress. Even the posters were eye catching and if you clocked one it stood out. Maybe more info or a web address or even an android bar code on ones the next time. If they caught the eye then only a small percentage acted on it. So maybe the difficult bit was from catching the eye to acting on it and actually going. We have seen the positivity from a small but growing bunch of youngsters in the North stand. Why not make the Easter holiday match £5 under 16s or something similar and send a poster headed 'a personal invitation' to every secondary school with in 40 miles or even get the players out at the schools to pin them up on the notice boards. A bar code scanner that takes you to a private web page regarding them being part of the exclusive 100 fans project. It's on their phone and that's a start. When the belief is there that it's going to happen then it will happen. I mentioned pensioners before too as they are the richest of us all. Some people say if you stop moving forward you actually fall behind.
  4. It's not our core support though is it. It's the average attendance that gets swollen every time the away end is full up, plus people turning up to watch us play Celtic, County etc. Only the club knows what our home support is. Next season will be healthier but it would be better to create new interest this season too.
  5. Bummer, I thought I had ordered a book on Hurling Piro and instead I got a book about a Belgian detective with a dodgy moustache.
  6. Great news on getting Garry Warren tied up for the next few seasons. Gives you plenty of chances to make it to a Cup final at long last.
  7. I heard that Aberdeen didn't know how to deal with them, the majority are big tall blokes and kept putting the ball over midfield to the guys up top. Bullied them in mid field and pushed them off of the ball. 4,4,1,1 Williams Raven Warren Devine Tremarco Polworth Draper Tansey, Roberts/ Williams. ______Mutombo _________________Storey
  8. Probably being googled right now.
  9. 'We are the Highlands' 'No Giro no Party'
  10. You might throw your flask and hurt someone. I remember us going to see the proclaimers at whin park and having to bin a £6 foundation/vanity mirror, in case my partner, smashed up the mirror and use it as a weapon. Some people have got a vivid imagination
  11. The club must have got a good enough deal to go ahead with it in the first place and it won't be cancelled overnight. The majority of the time it's not bad, only down side as along with the bar are queue jumpers.
  12. You need to be a bit more careful regarding who you accept as friends on Facebook.
  13. Yes I'm pretty sure Don said the same about both clubs a while back. Not wanting to miss out on a bargain I left my season ticked book at home and paid a fiver to get in.
  14. I'm not sure if the latter is actually true
  15. I'm hoping they're back for the Hearts match after 2 cheap matches on the bounce. Under 16s £10 north stand or £5 to ask for a Family section ticket.
  16. Think you guys are well out with your Partick stats. We finished 3rd in the League, won the biggest Cup in Scotland and played in Europe. How strong a start do you think we could have had to the season. Look at other smaller clubs playing at our ground. August started Stronger than the norm, St Johnstone brought a decent crowd apart from that it's below 3000 for a certain size of club, even United was under 3000, Killy 2770 ish, etc.
  17. Ha ha, We noticed the pay what you can advert for the tv match had Partick Thisle on it, Very witty of the club to write it out in a Kingsley stylee, to welcome the Partick fans.
  18. Perhaps, I had a Chicken Balti pie and it was Baltic in the stand.
  19. Aye well chuffed with the guys behind the goals, all having a great time. The sign reminds me of the Green Brigade. I bet the next one is white paint on black landscape fabric from poundland.
  20. I would have put it at around the 3,000 mark, even less for a full price match in January with a Cup game a few days prior and another home game next week. So 500-600 up. I know only 100 extra full-time adult fans could generate £40,00 pa year on year but I honestly expected more. With all the dormant fans getting in on the cheap, all those people on twitter, Cup final fans and all the publicity regarding the promotion for newbies. March and April, Hamilton and Motherwell, would it be worth replicating for the likes of pensioners, secondary schools further education and apprentices for Easter holiday. Even pensioners for a pound. Pound coin with the crest on it. and TFI Saturday £5 for under 21 Holding up a card display with the info across the cards.
  21. Fabulous 1st half except for goals in the net, 2nd half we had enough chances to win and Partick didn't even deserve a point today. Good turnout and good support behind the goals again. No flag today as 40mph winds forecast.
  22. Just turn up and pay what you can. If you haven't been before just bear in mind that traffic can be busier than usual, car park next to stadium is £3 (pays for youth development) or park further away and walk. There's a bar to the left of the main Stand think it's £3 a pint. 50/50 raffle is £1. Pies and coffee coke, crisps, sweets etc available too. Match day programme available. Club shop on site but you would be better going after the match but football strips are only available at JB Sports and there's currently a sale on for junior sizes for top and shorts £15.
  23. When people aren't even allowed to stand up because its so dangerous, I very much doubt smoke bombs would ever be permitted. You cant even take in a liquid container in case its thrown,One of the main reasons would be that an object could be thrown onto the pitch or to rival fans without being seen in the smoke and the safety officer/stewards are to have a line of sight of the fans. Only some clubs will let fans surf a flag for the same reason, even getting the flags surfed at Celtic park caused problems for the League Cup final and it took over 45 mins just to get 1 flag up for the Scottish Cup final which involved speaking to numerous stewards who then had to radio to each supervisor to attend, repeated for every section travelled through. Really frustrating when is only needs to be told to one person. For me its not the rights and wrongs of the flares or smoke bombs, its the getting banned from football that makes it 100% not worth it.
  24. At least the weather look promising warmer than usual with sun. Might be a bit breezy though.
  25. Would you mind taking a quick photo of your smoke bomb receipt and sticking it on here as proof.
