Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
12th Man replied to Sneckboy's topic in Caley Thistle
I know, some county fans even took their shirts off when Hamilton scored. -
Hoping the game goes ahead. Celtic seem to be very unlucky on our home turf. Ronnie D had yet to taste victory here. It's been 2 years since their last win. Add to that they don't like early KOs either.

Technically I don't see how they can differentiate between a Partick student in Inverness going home for the match or 20 ICT students in Glasgow sitting in the main stand for free.

Student Super Saturday. Students go free home support only. I would have thought this type of rule applies to all.

Marriage as a Senior Robert, 85, married Susan, a lovely 25 year old……….. since her new husband is so old, Susan decides that after their wedding she and Robert should have separate bedrooms, because she is concerned that her new but aged husband may over-exert himself if they spend the entire night together. After the wedding festivities Susan prepares herself for bed and the expected knock on the door. Sure enough the knock comes, the door opens and there is Robert, her 85 year old groom, ready for action. They unite as one... All goes well, Robert takes leave of his bride, and she prepares to go to sleep. After a few minutes, Susan hears another knock on her bedroom door, and it's Robert, again he is ready for more 'action'. Somewhat surprised, Susan consents for more coupling. When the newly weds are done, Robert kisses his bride, bids her a fond good night and leaves. She is set to go to sleep again but, aha you guessed it, Robert is back again, rapping on the door and is as fresh as a 25 - year - old, ready for more 'action'. And, once more they enjoy each other. But as Robert gets set to leave again, his young bride says to him, 'I am thoroughly impressed that at your age you can perform so well and so often. I have been with guys less than a third of your age who were only good once. You are truly a great lover, Robert.' Robert, somewhat embarrassed, turns to Susan and says: 'You mean I was here already?' The moral of the story: Don't be afraid of getting old, Dementia has its advantages.

Why do apps want so much info from your phone?

I poped round to see an old friend and was surprised to hear that his wife had left him. "She said she was going out for a pint of milk and never came back" I asked him how he was coping and he said he was using the powdered stuff.

A community bus was simply a plan B, I was even looking into driving one to the home games from Culloden but you have to have an initial volume of interest first to kick start it, (some places do Midas training for free) Is this transport actually advertised anywhere else bar here. Is it in the match day programme? If it was then you would potentially have a sponsor as they would have somewhere to say that they are sponsors as well as the advert. I get emails from the club but not from CJT would that help things if an email was sent out to all supporters regarding the transport or what ever you want. No point expecting the club to line a bus companies pockets just to 1/3 fill a bus.Contact a different bus company and you would run the bus with lower numbers/ make more profit when it's fuller. The supporters club in Greig St have the same problem for evening home matches Ive heard, personally I would prebook 2 or 3, 8 seater taxis instead of hiring a bus if a low turnout is expected, the usual bus ticket fee would cover the costs per taxi inc return. At least there will be central belt fans at the match and hope the ones not going on the bus manage to car share etc.

Would supporters be interested in driving a 16 seater minibus down by any chance? Could a minibus be provided or hired from a registered charity or community transport if a price could be agreed?

Yogi in trouble. Been stealing picnics again.

Totally agree if we cant get folk in basically free I dont think prices are the problem here. In reply to Deanos point above when the players visit schools free adult tickets as well as childrens tickets are offered. Good old pester power must work sometimes? However I have spoken to a player on that subject and they find it frustrating that the kids they meet are very keen to come but the adults wont bring them! Surely you can't be saying £12 for the coldest and wettest part of the stadium to take a kid to the game is a decent price. That's pretty poor. I've got 3 girls and sadly neither are interested in football after me trying a good few times to encourage it but I wouldn't ever take them to the dreaded uncovered sections which would have definitely turned them away. Football for the occasional fan is expensive but it's not the only reason why people aren't turning up. People's work commitments at the weekends take priority and as I work 7 out of 8 Saturday's I rarely get to games now unless I request a date off especially What I meant to say was the open section is an option made available to fans, or for a few quid more you can sit in the North Stand instead. But don't get upset over having this section available to fans if you can't make it to games and your kids don't want to go either.

A good performance and we still had chances to win it. Great defending and a lot of creative play on show. Nice to see Garry Warren back in action too. Which comes at a good time with Dave the Rave going on holiday.

If its too dear then the pay what you want promotion should have seen us turning people away at the gate as we should have been full. An adult can take kids to the match, season ticket averages out at £15:70, a pensioner or under 25yr old could take kids for £10 ish a game with a St book, or £12 for the uncovered section in the main stand. Seems reasonable enough to me. There's also free tickets for schools and if the seats are empty anyway then may as well get new faces interested.
-
Sadly deano if tickets were subsidised by the government then 3000 adults for each match £10 cheaper for only one season for the SPFL alone would be around 6.5 Million. The cost would be far higher as other clubs have far more fans. I don't think they have that kind of cash spare when it could be spent else where.

Football goes through trends as well, I believe there were just as many people who went to the halloween event last night as we took to Hampden but its free and its an annual event, football costs money and its more frequent. If you think of an ICT ladder, where there are people who don't even acknowledge a football club in Inverness, these people haven't even climed on to the bottom rung, where higher up are the fans who frequently go to games and buy merchandise etc. There are far more people out there that at least affiliate themselves to our club and are on the bottom rung. There are the ones who now want an ICT shirt or go to one or two games more a season. Its better to think of ways to generate interest as the club do, than do nothing. I hear nothing but positivity from people who get free tickets for youngsters. Which makes a nice change from fans moaning about players It's a work in progress but at least we are moving in the right direction.

Injuries aside this is the squad that we have. So like going down to 10 men. It's up to the players to pull their weight, galvanise and get stuck in, I saw enough desire and hunger to win the game the hard way in the last 20 mins so feel far more optimistic for Saturday.

He didn't actually make a serious investment.

Were they St Johnstone fans? No, ICT fans, I believe it was an ICT backed initiative for youngsters in the Strathspey area. Got the feedback from a parent today.
