  1. That's exactly what's missing from the squad, and has been ever since Brewster was allowed to start getting rid of all our flair players. The result has been... underwhelming to say the least.
  2. My comment was a more general one about the lack of communication from the club since... well, ever. However, I do agree this discussion has got a bit alarmist and out of hand. The prospect of part-time football would be worrying and would be a big step backwards, but hopefully it's not something we would have to consider.
  3. That's a disgraceful thing to say! Everyone knows it's by the hour Funny, 'cos it's true. Heaven forbid that the club would actually communicate with the fans, after all.
  4. Quite. We're not dead in the water yet, although things are decidedly mediocre. I for one don't feel things are as bad just now as they were under Brewster, even though they're not really working out as we'd like and we are going backwards as a club. Things were very bad under Brewster and I wouldn't want to go back to that. I totally agree. Although I'm not happy with the way things are at the moment, I find the amount of vitriol that some people are directing at Terry Butcher disturbing and uncalled-for. Some people have posted about how they feel he should show respect to the fans. Well, it works both ways, y'know. What about us showing him a bit of respect as well? If people were cursing him out and abusing him all afternoon then I don't blame him for reacting to it. I'm not sure I wouldn't be tempted to do the same. In the end, I'm not convinced that he's responsible for all the problems with the team: I think the malaise goes much deeper and changing managers again may cause more problems than it solves.
  5. 15 years ago if I'd known that the hard work put in by so many people to get us into and up the leagues would be undone by the actions of those in charge of the club over the past two or three seasons I would have been far from delighted. We have come a long way, but instead of consolidating our position and trying to grow and develop to the greatest extent possible for us, we're going backwards. This is what I object to
  6. I would completely agree with this. Blaming the fans is, in my opinion a complete cop-out.
  7. I know exactly what you mean. It's just not fun any more, and hasn't been for a very long time.
  8. What I want to know is this: why are we no longer using our pitch to our advantage? We have one of the widest playing surfaces in Scotland and it's just tailor-made for wingers. We always used to play best at home when we used wingers and attacked the other team. Seems like ancient history now...
  9. Years and years of lax management on the part of those running the club has now caught up with us. What needs to change is that the people in charge need to buck up, learn some organisational skills, show some initiative and stop treating their paying customers, the fans, like idiots. The Niculae fiasco is just the latest in a long line of stupid situations that could easily have been avoided if those in charge had behaved like professionals. It's at the stage now where it's gone beyond embarrassing and become disheartening.
  10. Exactly. This is the best advice the club will get in this matter and it hasn't come from a lawyer that they haven't consulted.
  11. :( Nice one, KB. Had to laugh!
  12. Still trying to understand exactly what's happened here, and I reckon I never will 100%, but someone has screwed up here and should be held to account. However, I very much suspect that this will not happen and we will never know who exactly is responsible for this situation. I agree that the situation is embarassing and shows, at very best, a startling level of naivity on the part of the people running the club.
  13. Because it has been a disgrace for months. In fact, it's been a disgrace for a couple of years. I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed a home game.
  14. So you can't wait when it's a final, but you wouldn't go to the game today...because you would rather watch it on tv? :) :D :D Oh for pity's sake, stop picking her to pieces. We're in a cup final and we're all looking forward to it. End of.
  15. Me + at least one. It's been a long time since the last one!
  16. Possibly because no-one is stressed enough to need their help!
  17. Yup, this could be me. I'm the sort of person who only speaks when I've got something to say, so I generally only post on threads about subjects I have a strong opinion on. I also don't have the time to post every day, even if I wanted to.
  18. Tell me more :) Was it in the Greig Street Toilets ? Thankfully, no. I was just thinking about life in general.
  19. He's currently thinking "Eh? Ma oven disnae need fixed!" :) You just made my evening, Yngwie!
  20. You've got a one-track mind, pal. If I were a psychoanalyst I'd be a bit worried about your ovine fixation. Wowbagger is on Wikipedia if you want to look him up. At least he varied things a bit when he was rude to people.
  21. You're not exactly Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged, are you gdw11?
  22. I think you were right first time, Alex, I'm actually thinking about talking to a counsellor: it's been a hard couple of months at work. Heh heh, I like this! :)
  23. I know how the immortal one feels. Odd and unexpected things happen sometimes when your back is turned...
  24. I wouldn't say harmless exactly: he could do the human gene pool a bit of damage if he fell into it.
