  1. So who's going to sing these on Saturday?
  2. Hasn't this thread gone a bit OT now?
  3. Pathetic. Who's he going to blame next time? The ballboys?
  4. OMG....They are they Borg....we can't win.....Resistance is Futile Ha! I had the exact same thought! :thumb04:
  5. Lol! Very good Locutus! Resistance is not futile?
  6. I was searching the internet today and look what I found!! Clicky clicky
  7. I think I know what you mean. On the one hand it would be immensely satisfying to stuff the Dons. On the other hand, it would just be a sticking plaster on a gushing wound as it wouldn't solve any of our underlying problems.
  8. Who's talking about winning the league??? All we want is for the management and players to show a little bit of ambition and to at least put up a fight against the opposition. We used to do that, but have completely lost what initiative we used to have. We don't need to win every game or even finish in the top half. What we do need is to achieve our potential, and so far in the past year we've fallen well short of that. We are actually going backwards, and that's unacceptable and dangerous.
  9. I second all that. Football should be for the fans, so it's really nice to have someone that interacts with the fans, and such a legend at that. Just wondered, John, if you think that the current talk of reorganising Scottish football will actuall come to anything, and if it does will it actually make a difference? (Ps, when you log back into your other account there's a pm waiting for you that I sent earlier)
  10. I always liked wee Martin, he had a great attitude! If we're talking our worst signings, Gary Farquhar would have to be right up there. We spent about three years chasing him and when we finally got him boy was he a real non-event! As The Fly has also pointed out, Paul Bradshaw was also a complete mistake. We should never have gone near him. Barrowman has a long way to fall before he matches up to either of those two(!)
  11. Don, those are great suggestions. The avatar idea would be especially good.
  12. If we're going to try and do something, we should start tomorrow. May I suggest that as many as possible go to Love Street and for the whole 90 minutes we sing, chant and voice our feelings on what's happened. We sing Barry Wilson's name, we chant "Brewster out" or something similar and we make a clear statement on where we stand (or sit, for that matter). How's that for a start?
  13. I didn't say we did have a divine right to anything. I said that we are better than bottom place and should not be content to stagnate at the wrong end of the league when it's well within our abilities to aim for the middle of the table. We've achieved this sort of thing before, but now seem to have run out of any sort of aspiration to try and better ourselves, and now seem to be going backwards.
  14. We shouldn't be "hovering round the bottom" of anything. Believe it or not, we are better than that. It's not unreasonable to aim for mid-table, and even a top half finish. Our population/catchment area is also not that small: Inverness is not a wee town any more, it's a (quite sprawling) city, and we should also be able to attract fans from the Highlands in general. So sorry, I don't buy the "this is as good as it's going to get, so be thankful" argument. Things have already been better than this in previous seasons in terms of league placement, standard of football etc. It just feels like we've completely stopped trying in the past year and are now going backwards. That's why so many people, including myself, are so upset.
  15. Agreed, Alex. I can't see Aberdeen conducting contract negotiations with, for instance, Zander Diamond the way we have with Black and Cowie. Plus the fact that it's the same every year. We never seem to learn, and in consequence have lost a lot of players who could have been very vaulable to us in the long run.
  16. Normally I wouldn't find that funny because of what it implies about our club, but this season it's funny because it's very, very true. If you didn't laugh you'd probably cry!
  17. I'd be in favour of some kind of protest. Banners, chants, everyone wearing "Brewster Out" slogans, whatever. As you say, 5th Stand, something that gets some media attention and highlights how the fans really feel about things.
  18. There, there Mannie, I feel your pain. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed the constant misspellings of the same words over and over again!
  19. After three years in the trade he should have learned something of it by now. I don't see any evidence of him learning anything.
  20. It's never going to be the same without you, Barry. Thanks for everything you've done. Haste ye back.
  21. This is a travesty, and as you said, Donview, it is the final straw.
  22. Barcelona or Dingwall? Barcelona or Dingwall?? Hmmm, tough choice...
  23. No reason to hate him, instead be angry with the person or persons who caused him to leave us in the first place. I know I am... Anyway, well done to the guy. He always looked a class act and definitely the kind of player you want playing for you rather than against you!
  24. I wonder if Brewster really believes half the stuff he comes out with and if he does, does he actually expect us to buy this nonsense?
  25. Evidently it is. As in life in general, common sense has gone completely out the window with us.
