  1. Urgh, Jeremy Kyle. If you're having trouble in your private life the last thing you need to do is go on TV and wash your dirty linen in public like that.
  2. I don't hate County, I'm fairly indifferent to them and mildly irritated by some of their fans, but hate? Nah. I loathe the Old Firm, however.
  3. Not particularly, just very bored of hearing the same thing repeated ad nauseam.
  4. Isn't it time we stopped baiting him? It's turning into a bit of a thread hijack. It's not exactly my hill to die on or anything, but I'm a bit sick of the sheep/tractors nonsense. It's like a stuck record.
  5. It doesn't excuse the complete lack of originality. If you're going to dish out insults you might at least be clever about it instead of rehashing some age-old trite bit of mince that wasn't even true or funny to begin with. Anyhoo, as far as the original topic of this thread goes, it's a slow process to develop a fanbase and will take a bit of time for it to grow. However, I'm quite positive that it will grow: look at all the kids who have grown up following the team. It's a good sign for the future.
  6. I'm sure STV would help me de-stress if they removed or permanently gagged the work colleague who keeps telling me my job as if I were a small child who knew nothing about the area I work in. However, somehow I doubt this is in their remit, so I'll just have to grow a spine and fix it myself!
  7. According to a quick search on Google, at least 21. Although I wouldn't recommend it myself, as Minis are not very comfortable or environmentally friendly for long journeys, which is why anyone with any sense hires a bus instead. I won't be there this time, I'm going to Frankfurt this Saturday.
  8. Sheep jokes... how original. If you're going to be insulting, at least come up with a jibe that's not been used a million times before.
  9. Personally, I drive an Aston Martin DB9.
  10. Sounds like I had a more enjoyable afternoon fumigating my flat...
  11. Also listening to Terry Wogan! Playing Love Is All Around by Wet Wet Wet now. There's a blast from the past.
  12. Nope. Doesn't do it for me at all. Very underwhelming.
  13. If they're serious about this, then they're really playing with fire and they may find that no TV money ends up being forthcoming. Idiots
  14. Just remembered another one: Paolo Nutini. A young man should not have a singing voice like a 55-year-old with half his teeth missing.
  15. Personally I don't believe you should meddle with what God gave you unless there's a good reason for it, such as scars, burns or some problem that's seriously affecting your life. Too many people take plastic surgery way too lightly these days and plastic surgeons are being allowed to dictate what constitutes "beauty", or even "normality". This is definitely not a healthy outlook. However, I can kind of understand why a woman would want to have a procedure like lipo or a tummy tuck to try and recapture what she feels to be lost looks: getting older and saggier can be demoralising for us all. Unfortunately all these procedures have risks. Sadly Denise Hendry isn't the first person to die because of botched liposuction and sadly she won't be the last.
  16. Just my feet. I don't even have a bike to my name, mainly because I've nowhere to keep one.
  17. Yes I heard about that. Just when you think things can't get any more odd at Almondvale...
  18. That's an interesting assumption. My understanding is that she decided to have the lipo a few years back because having 4 children had played Hell with her figure and it's not uncommon for women to have this done to get their figures back after having a family - although I definitely wouldn't have is done myself. Unfortunately though, procedures like that can and do go wrong. The poor woman suffered dreadfully in the last few years: I felt very sorry for her. At least she's not suffering any more. As others have said, RIP.
  19. That's funny, because there's something about her that I find obnoxious! Agree 100% about the Ting Tings though: their "music" gives me a sore head.
  20. Arctic Monkeys Oasis Elton John Amy Winehouse Lily Allen Texas Any manufactured boy/girl bands Katie Perry Lady GaGa Kate Nash (sings like a character from Eastenders) And I find Duffy to have a really weird voice, but I can tolerate her 100 times more than Amy Winehouse or Lily Allen, who both make me want to stick my fingers in my ears and go "la la la" until they shut the hell up.
  21. Around about 1,500 last season. Not nearly enough to sustain full time football. And here was me thinking it was 3 blokes and a dog. Their crowds were never that great, even when they were doing well. There was always something a bit plastic and unreal about the club, it's not suprising they've ended up in this mess.
  22. Hmm... Methinks she has a point. IMO "nonsense" forums are for just this sort of thing. It's fun not to have to be serious and sensible at times.
  23. It happened on a flight I was on a few months ago. I can't remember where I was flying from, but when the plane touched down at Stanstead a big round of applause broke out. I guess there were a lot of easily impressed people on board; it was Ryanair after all. Going back to the topic of the thread, I rarely understand anything other people do, but one thing that puzzles me is why someone who's looking for a pair of scissors walks around making snipping movements with their hands. I'm sure most of us have done it, but why??
  24. "...Massone told BBC Scotland that a fund-raising appeal to supporters only generated ?149.50" As much as that, eh?
