  1. Hope you're right, OCG!
  2. Agree with 2k fans - sadly, I don't feel the buzz that there should be! However, I'm more concerned about the comments from JH on MFR: "we've tried a few things over the last few games and will shake it up for next week". I said at the time that the 5 at the back against PT was with one eye on the semi. Please, no! Hopefully, it's just a ruse to keep them guessing....
  3. Great result - good to see the right selection paying dividends. Shame that DU won, but our future is in our own hands! Celtic won't take us lightly next week. Really bad luck for Deano - hope it isn't career threatening. Such a shame that he'll not be at Hampden, but Esson has not let us down.
  4. Looks a better line-up.C'MON!
  5. Yup, the striker problem is affecting us, but so is the lack of ambition. What's to lose? United are even worse than us, so let them go and express themselves. There'll be no easy games until the end of the season, but please try to entertain us!
  6. Right guys coming on, but would be interested to hear what system we're playing now? 4-4-2?
  7. Right - let's show some ambition now instead of this containment sh!te! No shots in 45 min is not good enough. Sounds like JH's tactics at Ibrox have reared their ugly head.
  8. Not our finest year at this level!

We need to have a "right good go" at Aberdeen this week. What's to lose? It would be good to roar into the Europa league instead of dribbling over the line on account of DU's implosion.....or worse, just missing out again!

Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Tansey Watkins Ross Williams Ofere Subs: Doran, Christie, Vincent, Polworth, Tremarco, Esson , Devine Bring Christie on for Ross after 60 min and Doran for Williams. could always go to 4-4-2 with Watkins and Ofere if necessary.
  11. I'm willing to change this to "Kink has been truly awful for the 25min or so that he's played so far": anyone get excited when they see him coming off the bench? I was doubly disappointed today because he replaced Nick Ross, who was having a good game! Hopefully, my scathing comments will ensure that he comes on to score the winner in the semi...!
  12. What we learned today: 1. Shinnie is the best left back in Scotland 2. Watkins is not a centre forward 3. Doran has no left foot and was playing in no man's land in the first half 4. Nick Ross has a future 5. Kink is truly awful 6. Ofere has potential I'm not as downbeat as some. First half, we totally bossed it without creating much. Had no shape on the left because Doran was always inside! Second half was more even and we lost something when Christie and Ross went off. Kink may as well have stayed in the dressing room. We're not so far off our best, but there's a spark missing. Should have cemented 3rd today, but DU are in freefall, so hopefully we can do so in the next couple of games. Need to do more if we want to win the semi!
  13. While not all semis used to be at Hamden, the games that attract bigger crowds used to be played there. There is no way a Scottish Cup Semi against Celtic would be played anywhere other than Hampden if it was available. But the point is they don't have to be. This game could be played at a neutral venue, not in Glasgow, be a sell out and would still be able to be seen on TV. Atmosphere would be miles better that will be generated at Hampden. Still maintain the SFA could have had our game on the Saturday which would have been a bit better than the Sunday. On a personal level, having the game on a Sunday makes it more difficult for me to travel to so am in danger of not being able to attend. Having been at all our major cup semi finals before, this really annoys me. What 'neutral' venue do you have in mind?! The Global Energy Stadium? ...lights would go out
  14. Ironically, apart from his presence in the air, the one thing that has really stood out about Ofere at the home games is his excellent ball control at least when he receives the ball to feet. I would love to see a "front four" of Ofere with Doran, Christie and Watkins behind. That is where Watkins has been best. ...exactly the formation I've suggested since Ofere joined! I don't get the change to 3 at the back today. I don't think the defence was broken, so why switch it? I hope this was JH just trying something - might have been genius, but wasn't. Does he have the semi against Celtic in mind? I hope he's going to be a bit more ambitious then....
  15. Sounds like an experimental system that didn't work today. Back to 4-2-3-1 please. Don't repeat this formation.Watkins was apparently isolated and Ofere needs to be played to get used to the system. Real opportunity missed and didn't give it a go. Echos of the league cup match against Rangers. Lack of ambition. Shame there's a break now.
  16. I have some sympathy for Billy. Unless there is something of a miracle at Wigan, he'll be in League 1 next season and it looks like he's the bench-warmer just now. A classic case of a misfiring team with problems all over the park - I know! let's bring in a goalscorer (and leave him on the bench), that'll solve it. Still, at least he's earning decent dosh just now.
  17. JH is undeterred. Hope he's right and we turn out in numbers! http://sport.stv.tv/football/314474-inverness-manager-sympathises-with-fans-over-scottish-cup-early-kick-off/
  18. ....they've now appealed McGowan's red. Making a mockery of the system!
  19. Try as they might to stop us from attending, we'll find a way to get to Hampden!
  20. ..and some red cards, which can only help us!
  21. ....BBC get it wrong??!! They'll probaby have it down as Celtic/Dundee Utd v Ross County......you know - that team that Ryan Christie plays for!
  22. my turn to be a pedant - we already have (12) at number (5)!
  23. ...told you I was losing it! Anyway, I'm safe in the knowledge that there are plenty out there who will correct me when I'm wrong!
  24. Thanks, guys - I'm gtradually losing the plot!
  25. 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight) 2. Top 6 assured (earliest ever) 3. Cannot be relegated (earliest ever) 4. ICT record for longest time without conceding a goal(616 minutes) 5. Joint record for number of Manager of the Month awards (2 for JH) 6. First semi-final as top flight side 7. 3rd semi-final in a row 8. Yet another season finishing above the shadowdwellers!! Taking a punt on this one until Sneckboy corrects me: 9. Record number of Young Player of the Year awards (2 for Ryan Christie)?
