2014/15 milestones achieved
OK, Doofer's Dad has convinced me on another thread that we are now officially top 6 because of the fixtures that St J have left before the split - this means, the following are now true: 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight) 2. Top 6 assured (earliest ever) 3. Cannot be relegated (earliest ever) Note - could a moderator change the thread title to 14/15 instead of 15/16? Thanks

Minimal reshuffle possible (assuming Warren, Doran and Watkins are out and Devine is fit: Esson Raven Devine Meekings Shinnie Tansey Draper Ross Polworth Williams Christie kinda like the 3 local lads up top, but a little inexperienced! If Devine is injured, then Tremarco has to go in there. Anyone left for the bench? Ferguson, Sutherland, Horner, Baptie(?), U17 goalie(!), U12 winger....Nessie, Subway sub

Shifty Ciftci
If the ban stands (and it clearly should), I think that'll be a big blow to United in the run-in. Time will tell whether we'll suffer more for the loss of Warren, but I suspect not.

Replacement Striker?
Could we not have got McDonald? Instead, we might be facing him on Saturday! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31641734 Gtranted, he's been at Motherwell before, but I don't think they would be able to offer him a better contract than we could....?

I might be wrong but is there not some stupid rule whereby if the officials dealt with an incident at the time (2 players clashed and cards were issued) then nothing can be done restrospectively, even if the officials got it wrong? I might be wrong but is there not some stupid rule whereby if the officials dealt with an incident at the time (2 players clashed and cards were issued) then nothing can be done restrospectively, even if the officials got it wrong? I doubt the initial incident was seen - presumably Cifci's yellow was also to do with the afters. If so, I'm sure he can still be dealt with retrospectively...but will he be?

Penalty-kick taker?
Looks like Tansey's the man! Shame the one he missed happened to be in the cup final!

The BBC Tonight
The quality of reporting on BBC is utter sh!te, as is the quality of most of the pundits and football programmes that are produced (Sportscene, Sportsound, OAM, off the ball etc). Some of the commentators are OK, but most are amateurs. Unfortunately, the BBC is the window onto Scottish football and the weak presenting reflects on the product they are presenting......the last thing that Scottish football needs!

Split in 6
It's tough at the top! By definition, being in the top 6 means we'll have a hard set of fixtures coming up - the fact that we end the pre-spit fixtures with United, Aberdeen and Celtic just adds spice to the mix. What it means is that where we finish is entirely in our own hands - win them all and we might well be champions!

Inverness CT - V - Kilmarnock Matchday Thread
Football is the great game it is because form fluctuates and sometimes the better team doesn't win. So on the day that Chelsea drew with Burnley at home and Dundee United lost to St J at home, we failed to win against Kilmarnock in a game many thought we'd win. We weren't at our best and they're on the up. We can't expect to win every game from now until May. This is a small setback that would be forgotten if we beat United and Motherwell this week, which would likely take us above Aberdeen into second. So, on form maybe we should have won this but on the day we didn't deserve to. Next!

2014/15 milestones achieved
It might have slipped under the radar of many, but we officially cannot be automatically relegated: St Mirren could only reach 51 points with straight victories until the end of the season. Given that this has the potential of being a record-breaking season, it might be worth tallying notable achievements starting with: 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight)

...honeymoon's gotta go! Or "how about a wee trip to Belarus instead of Barbados, Darling?" Could just work

Do You Want County Relegated ?
...except they've already played Aberdeen and Celtic for the last time. So, we just have to hope they beat Dundee United and perhaps Hamilton? In answer to the main Q, I can't really make my mind up on this one. The poor away support from County at TCS is weird and counter-productive: that sort of attitude will surely kill off Scottish football for good! I must admit, I thought they'd fill the away end every game, but the fact that they don't means that their demise might not be as detrimental to ICT as I had originally thought! However, I would miss the derbies, so I've sat on the fence on the vote...wimp!
