yeeeeeha i've won a fiver just predicting that your team would be the first home game for us! yipppeeee (that's a fiver to the wedding shindig in two weeks lol) if yer efter a good pub on yer way to EEP, there's the East End Inn at Touch, or the Elizabethan (an old favourite) or indeed dander into the toon for a pre match bevvy, food and great company (ahem) at the Commercial. It's opposite the post office, and 2 mins walk from the bus station --- approx 15 mins uphill walk from dunfermline town station, and aye i'm a regular there, as well as some ither non hoolie pars fans (ahem)... they sell real ale, are a major participant in CAMRA, the food they serve is excellent and it's a 10 min walk from East End Park. Look forward to seein ye all.... ma wee heeland pals. Buffy x
  2. Congrats! But ye know for the bigger cringing factor ye need to do the ol' online proposal on a football forum line.....;D Mrs JNR - that's a bonny pic o ye oan here hen Mrs PB to be ---- cannae wait til 27th June! :D Practicing me heeland fling! Buffy x
  3. Calderwood in his last game also! Being announced tomorrow by the Club... hints galore on radio scotland today, and then announced before YourCall that it was indeed his last game in charge. Managers oot the door... players oot the door.... busy life for football.
  4. "Hibs are the only side? to have done it " Erm nope they weren't. Hibs were not relegated from the SPL as it didn't exist at that point. They did go up to the new SPL as champions of the first division, however the Pars were the only team (so far) to be relegated from the SPL and back up the next (as runners up in the first division). Lewis is obviously a wee pars fan --- a helluva lot of us pars fans remember the yo-yo-ing between the SPL, 1st and 2nd divisions. On a personal note, and having been a member of this site for nearly 4 years jeesh!, I was in tears at the result today. I was watching it all on Setanta in Legends at EEP and texting Mrs PB and ICTMee, updating them with the St Midden score also. Hand on heart gutted that you've been relegated...and hopefully you will be back up next season. The Pars have a lot of work to do next season but I reckon we'll be there for a wee while yet. On the bright side, sorry, more chances for me to meet up with you lot....... and more wild weekends in the Sneck. :finger01: Keep yer heads up folks, and keep smiling. Mon the Caley, and ra Pars. Buffy x
  5. Hey folks I see there's already the mention of a pars fan heading up on saturday... I'm considering doing the same! (as long as money lets me lol) Noo, is it gate entry or do I need to buy a ticket for this event? Gracias Buffio x

  9. Howdy folks Thought I would dander in for a wee keek at all things Caley Thistle and ask if you fancy getting behind oor team for the semi final game next Sunday... I dinnae mean going to the game of course lol unless ye fancy a long walk, but to be there in spirit. Not that I'm on here advertising dafc.net's excellent updating service ahem hosted by a couple of folk from our website (ahem...) but just thinking aboot ye aw at this summery time of year. (If ye believe that you'll believe anything!) I'll shoot the boots aff ye if yer pandering to the "ither side" mind. ;D I've been up in Inversneckie a few times now this past couple of months with visits to Dingwall (and more to come next season yippeeeee (I dinnae mind the first divison honestly!) and anyway would like to say good luck and yer no gaun doon! Mon ICT! and ra Paaars Toodles Buffy x [/colour]
  10. Aye it was a guid thing for them to do, third time lucky for some of us! I had the delight of having the one and only Monkey sitting next to me... that's Leona Dunbar to those who don't know her nickname. I believe there were a few ICT fans there the other night ... could certainly hear them amongst our support. Can't mind much about our game apart from THAT goal at the end.. what a cracker! We're heading up next month again for yet another encounter with the old farts erm I mean Brewster's team...this time we're (me and the groovy yin) are dandering to ICTMee's abode for the weekend. 15. Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who have already signed our petition. We need more ! Buffy x
  16. HI I'm Buffy from DAFC.Net and we are campaigning to have standing back at Scottish Football Stadiums. We have a petition : http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/stand-...r-the-pars.html We need as many signatures as possible to get this off the ground (sorry, bad pun) and I've been on every other SPL and SFL forums asking for the same. Please, if you are passionate about standing at football matches, bringing back the atmosphere that was once there, [our campaign will be taking into consideration all aspects of finance (sponsorship, fundraising, volunteers), safety, stewarding / policing and planning] then add your names to our petition. If you have any positive information that would be of any help to us through this campaign please email me on buffy2angel@hotmail.com. Cheers. We want the CHOICE to SIT / STAND at the football. Please also start your own petition / campaign so ALL FOOTBALL FANS WHO WANT TO HAVE THE CHOICE TO SIT / STAND AT THE FOOTBALL can do it. Buffy
  17. LOL I had the serious hat oan.... But just for you allybally STAND UP FOR THE PARS normal service will resume shortly teehee Buffy x
  18. Thanks CaleyD - you're absolutely right there. There is a meeting taking place soon between our Chairman and a group of representatives of people who stand on a regular basis at EEP (much to the annoyance of folk who sit behind them and can't see the game). So this petition we have started is to ask the Club to provide a standing area for all fans who wish to stand, and therefore not block the views of those who wish to sit. We just want to be given the choice to sit / stand. We understand completely the wishes of people who want to sit, we're not asking for all seater stadiums to be ignored / turned into all standing stadiums. We just want a small area provided for standing fans - to help bring the atmosphere back to football. Buffy
  19. Hi guys I've got my teeth into something else would ye believe..... so.... here it goes. STAND UP FOR THE PARS is a campaign we have started yesterday to get a small section of terracing back to East End Park, with a hope in the future that we can influence not only the SFL but also the SPL and SFA to inject the atmosphere back into football. Football grounds have been sanitised by the introduction of all seater stadiums and it is our right as football supporters to be heard and also help our clubs regain the atmosphere created by standing areas. We have an official online petition - please sign and support our cause. http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/stan...r-the-pars.html It's baby steps for us in Dunfermline, but we hope that we can have standing at ALL football grounds. The important matters of costs, contractor works, health and safety standards, policing and stewarding will also be covered in our campaign. Thanks. Buffy x
