  1. Of games I have actually been to, that had to be the best feeling at full time. The only thing that has come close was Nick Ross's equaliser in the league cup semi.
  2. No, you don't. It is posts like this that are driving me away from this forum now **** OFF FFS!! You keep saying this, and yet you keep returning. As has been said earlier, rather than unleashing streams of invective, why don't you give supporting evidence for your beliefs. You have also made a serious, and quite possibly libelous, allegation earlier in the thread. Do you wish to back that up?
  3. Collum special?
  4. Can I be the bounder?
  5. Down with the Jambos, We're going down with the Jambos...
  6. Simples! Just go back through the records and count em!
  7. Ah, those were the days...
  8. When exactly was it? Exactly between the 499th goal and the 501st goal, if I remember correctly.
  9. Yes, but the only people you had to report to are the polis and the sheriff!
  10. Tansey constantly let the ball run across him, and then either failed to control it or passed it to a United player. I thought the defense all played well, particularly given the makeshift nature, although they still managed to give Brill a backpass where his clearance was charged down. I thought Watkins looked lively for about an hour, and Doran was constantly looking for the ball and seemed willing to run at the United defence. And regarding the new methods - the passing is too slow, and is carried out about 70 yards too near our own goal.
  11. Not seen/heard anything about the foul on Christie at 1-0.
  12. Looks like the ref wasn't the only clueless person today! http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-match-reports/dundee-united-1-inverness-ct-3492415 Tannadice? Really? Some ground-share that.
  13. Tremarco didn't get involved in that tippy-tappy nonsense today, though. Was impressed with the fact that he looked to feed Williams, and if that wasn't on, he got the ball forward - i.e. as far from our goal as possible.
  14. Probably a combination of OCG and DD explanations. Who would you have played him instead of? The only one of our front 6 I felt was below par was Tansey, passed to too many tangerine shirts for me, and that position isn't really one Ross could fill.
  15. Heard he was drummed out of town
  16. By George how thought provoking. Is there an Asda in Alloa ? And a FC Who is this F@#!%$& C&%£ ?
  17. 1) Fair point 2) Bit harsh, but we could have been better 3) You'd think we'd learn, but I thought he did OK. Defenders need to stop giving him ball and man passes 4) Too kind. Clueless, useless and shight are better words 5) No. He's gash 6) Fair point
  18. Thought the defence had a good game considering how make-shift it was. Thought Tremarco had a great game at centre-back, and Williams was looking to get forward from full-back at every opportunity which gave us a more positive outlook. Still too much passing, particularly sideways, and yet again we gave Brill the ball and an opponent at the same time. But a point with a make-shift defence and a useless ref isn't so bad. Thought the referee was terrible. Where do they get these people from? United's goal looked like a push on Brill, and Christie had his heel was clipped as he was about to shoot in the second half, pretty good shout for a penalty, and hint of a red-card as Christie only had the keeper to beat. Ref, who was in a good position actually looked to the linesman and then waved play on. Coward! The way the officials bought the Uniited play-acting was pretty poor too. What was the keeper rolling about all about? And never having seen him in the flesh before, I never realised how p!sh Ciftci actually was.
  19. At no point did I suggest that you should. I merely pointed out that your expectations may lead others to suggest that. An analysis of the top flight of Scottish Football since the 12 team, split league model shows that only two teams have achieved a number of points consistent with the win rate you consider acceptable. So to get your desired win rate, you would need to support one of those teams. If you do not wish to support one of those teams, than maybe a different win rate would be more sensible. Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but if it is based on unreasonable expectations, then others are entitled to voice their opinion and challenge those expectations. If you think my post was telling you to GTF, it wasn't. I was merely using some facts (remember them?) to suggest that your expectations and choice of football team may not quite match up. If you don't like the attitude of our fans, you could always try..., oh wait. maybe not.
  20. This thread is probably a good barometer of people's optimism. People are starting to worry. Or worry more, depending on where they started.
  21. Then you really are asking people to tell you to go and support someone else. A win rate of 65% or more would lead to a minimum of 74 points, and that's assuming none of the other games were drawn. An equal split of wins and draws would mean a minimum of 81 points. Since we adopted the current set up in the top division, no club outside the Old Firm has achieved this total. If you are going to demand change, at least set your expectations at a reasonable level, otherwise you are doomed to fail.
  22. On reflection, I suspect the Police Scotland are too busy elsewhere to be concerned with this. On the basis of the relative attendances by opposition fans at our last two games against Aberdeen, they must be investigating the disappearance of around 39,000 people in the Granite City.
  23. I hope so. Just as long as he doesn't want us to be Bayern.
  24. Please. God. No!
  25. That would be a pretty decent home strip!
