Unseeded: Kilmarnock, Inverness CT, Falkirk, Dunfermline, Queen of the South, Ross County, Raith Rovers, Brechin City
Inverness CT - unseeded ??????????????
Yup, cos the seeded teams all finished above us last season.

Imrie, F**K OFF!
Indeed.

THERE IS A SPARE OPEN TOP BUS IN THE STATION IN DINGWALL !!! ITS SITTING THERE DOING NOTHING
Why? Has someone had the wheels?
-
If I was being picky, I would have liked to see this tied in with the unveiling of next season's home shirt.
Nevertheless its good to see another item being ticked off the to-do list!
-
With the change I'd like to see rangers being bought and closed down.
Nah, don't close them down. Merge them with Celtic. Much funnier!

It's not perfect but it's a step in the right direction which is what I believe is the intention. The mood is right so they are taking action but the reconstruction debate will continue and I'd hope to see well planned set-up being rolled out in a few more years. One consideration most people don't have is the impact this will have on the lower leagues. A bigger SPL will pull clubs up through the lower leagues and to maintain the four league structure an 18 or 16 team league would give SFL3 6 or 4 new teams to find. Do they really need another 6 Elgin Citys or Annans? These teams we successful in the leagues they came from but just can't cut it in the league system.
Two leagues of 18 with no split, three up, three down no play offs unless a tie to decide placings on league. We lose 6 teams but open the league up to the champions of Highland, Southern and Eastern leagues. Again 3 up (1 from each) and 3 down (bottom placed).
How football used to be (well ok there were 20 teams in the league)
Two leagues of 18. 3 down from the top division, two up straight away, then the next four play off for the third promotion spot.
The bottom 3 in the second Division relegated to the appropriate local league.
Sorted!

14 teams is a bit of a half-bottomed answer really.
The solutions should be either a 16 or 18 team league, with teams playing twice, and no stupid split.
40 games is too many for the bottom 8, and a 7-7 would be impractical as on team would have to sit out each week, which would scupper the idea that all teams play at the same time on the last day to avoid collusion.

I heard we're all going for a BBQ on Leigh Griffiths' patio.
He doesn't have a patio. He lives in a tepee in Caird Park.

Hey, maybe on Saturday I'll really let myself go and buy a bag of wine gums.
Just dinnae rustle the wrappers!

Can't believe we're no allowed on the pitch
Other clubs were allowed to so why not us? Plus Butcher said we could last week.
I was speaking to someone from the redcross and they were all ready for a pitch invasion
But there's nothing we can do now
They've only said that you can't come on during the game, and also that you need to get off the pitch before they will present the trophy.

According to the HN both McBain, and....wait for it.......FORAN are out injured for Sat B) :) :D
Thought Foran seemed subdued just before was taken off. I guess that explains it.

The other point to make is that it is likely that VAT will be going to 20% in June
When was this announced?
It wasn't. Mr Malmsteen is speculating on the outcome of next week's ballot.

I actually filled Les up with Vodka and Coke last night and he told me that it's going to be "Torridon and the Staggies" performing "We're On Our Way" live with a medley from the Dingwall Gaelic Choir as a supporting act.
Are you sure that wasn't IHE wearing a Les suit?

I don't understand why ICT should be fined. It wasn't their fault people ran on the pitch. If it was a home game I would understand as it's their responsobility to put the stewards in place and at Somerset it is Ayr's responsobility to put them in place. But what could ICT done to stop it?
The beaks would argue that the players should not have run to the fans. Ayr moved most of their stewards behind the goal, so they would argue that they did all they could.
It was all pretty good natured. The stewards were just concerned that people got off the pitch, didn't seem to be haeavy anded and people got off the pitch quickly. The local Polis didn't seem particularly bothered either.
I'm inclined to agree that it won't look good if it happens again on Saturday.

Viagra? That would make sure we stayed up!
-
Its been laid on free of charge, we don't even know who it is yet and some would rather it was cancelled, quite incredible.
You couldn't make it up, really. Even if the music turns out not to be to everyone's taste, there is the small matter of a football match and a trophy!
-
Considering neither the Stewards or the Local Constabulary got worked up about this, the correct response from the beaks should be - "Gonnae no do that again"
Given this is Scottish Football, I can't rule out a 71 point deduction for each invasion.

When did Ross become a Jambo. I always thought his sympathy's lay with Aberdeen.
Old news. There was a lot about it when we beat them 3-1 at Tynecastle in the cup and Rossco scored.

Surprised McBain is getting a new deal after being excluded for the whole season (virtually).
Bulvitis? Hmmm, maybe. Depends on the cost. We need someone better IMO. Mihadjuks springing to mind.
McBain has obviously shown the right stuff during his abscence amd subsequent return.
Agree about Bulvitis. I feel that Darren Dods was never really replaced.

Don - i like your point of that. 100 tickets, at ?1000 each. My band would probably go in for that...chance to have our name on the shirt, how mint.
If they do this, we should club together and buy a ticket. How good would it be to have 'Teckle!' on the front of the shirt?
-
I think there is a club that already did/do that but cant remember who and how successfull it was ..... certainly an idea if there is no viable sponsor who comes in with enoug spondoolachs to tempt us.
Both St Mirren and Queen of the South have done this recently. Queens ended up being sponsored by the Polis!

Request for Ritchie Hart - White Lines (Don't do it)!
-
We're getting red and blue chequer pattern apparently.
At the request of the board. Small check, apparently(*)

Red and blue hoops? Now that would confuse the 'Rangers of the North' brigade!
We Will Lose Against Hamilton
in Caley Thistle
Posted
Hope we don't.
TB seems to have introduced a level of ruthless efficency hitherto missing. Saturday is a marvellous opportunity to create a decent gap between us and Hamilton, in terms of both points and goal ddifference.
No complacency please, and lets not let Hamilton kick start their seaon, eh!
