January transfer window.
Exactly ... good to know the likely reason albeit from another club manager ... 10/10 for Mark McGhee's open and honest feedback on who they've tried to get and why they've been unsuccessful. On Yogi's watch, we've had wonderful achievements and memories for which I' sure we're all very thankful but generally the fans (who are the one constant) like to know and discuss what's going on with playing staff and plans in that regard (within reason and subject to reasonable confidentiality). Nothing wrong with polite challenges/enquiry/banter.

Yes ... to put it mildly!!

January transfer window.
I can only presume from Yogi's comments that he didn't get on with Higdon latterly ... either that or we were priced out by an English non-league outfit and he's trying to save ICT embarassment. To say that Higdon is not what we want is frankly utterly ridiculous given: 1. We only have Storey; and 2. Higdon is a recent former player's player of the year with a proven goalscoring track record.

Celtic's Scottish Cup handball goal ... sshh!
Outstanding ICT tweet from the weekend. Handy (!!) that Celtic scored a legit 2nd against EK to scrape them through. Can't think why no-one from Celtic mentioned it ;) Take a look at @ICTFC's Tweet:

Dear oh dear ... farce ...

Greg Tansey
Why did we sign Ryan Williams (a virtually identical player to Tansey by all accounts and youtube) if we planned to keep Tansey? ... and given midfield is where we are clearly so lacking in options? ;)

January transfer window.
Michael Higdon? Very tidy goalscoring ratio for Motherwell. Good partner for Storey with height/presence in box. Played under Yogi at Falkirk. Released by Sheffield Utd.

Ryan Williams
Looks like tidy midfield playmaker/dead ball specialist in Tansey mould ...

Yogi's Contract
Very recently in the media, I heard someone who was nearing the end of his ICT contract say that he was passing responsibility for sorting out a new contract to his agent. He said he liked Inverness and really wanted to stay ... it was Edward Ofere. It seems fair to say that a contract has been offered to Yogi. If it hasn't been agreed or if Yogi thinks there is still something to be discussed, then surely the offer isn't viewed as good enough and Yogi is offloading responsibility to his agent in the media to appear the good guy (so to speak) to the fans/outside world. An agent, surely by definition, normally takes instruction from whoever he/she is agent for.

Yogi's Contract
Anyway back to the subject of the thread ... just how likely is Yogi to sign up again ... and if he isn't should he go before the season end ... for various reasons (current relative form, last game, heart loyalties) am I too much of a cynic / pessimist to really fear a play-off toe-to-toe versus the flying Hibees?

Yogi's Contract
If Yogi does feel any disappointment, it may quickly be healed/soothed by the realisation that Utd shouldn't be cried over given they were too tight (even after big transfer fees in) to reach into their pockets for the relatively modest sum required to get their apparent previously preferred choice to eventual out-of-contract freebie Mixu. Utd = joke of a club. Now board please do the decent thing and get our cup winning manager on a better/bigger contract.

Yogi's Contract
General Melchett: If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through. :) Im assuming you know exactly how much it will cost for Yogi to leave before his contract finishes, or are you just assuming he is only worth his salary until the end of May. Naturally I don't know for sure. Just a bit of banter bud. Frankly, I'd be amazed if Yogi didn't go to Utd. Not because he necessarily should. The rumours, the fact that £ talks and he is bound to be offered more there, he'll naturally feel professional pride and maybe not believe the Inverness manager "curse", the lure of a " bigger" club, closer to family, the feeling he has probably maxed out at Inverness ... And finally the feeling I get that we maybe haven't even offered him a better/extended contract ... Unbelievable as that might be .... Have we really "shown him the love", our most successful ever manager?

Yogi's Contract
Wishful thinking I fear. All down to Yogi I expect. In practical terms, he can probably walk away regardless safe in the knowledge that whatever he loses should more than be made up by what he gets from Utd. As for compensation to Inverness, I can't imagine it will amount to much on the wages he is likely on at ICT and being in his last year.

Yogi's Contract
Hmm ... to go or not to go ... wonder if he'll contact Craig Brewster for an opinion / hindsight.
