Marley Watkins for Aberdeen and Rory McAllister for Cove today. Also Garry Wood for Brechin and Kieran Chalmers for Strathspey.

He was at the Arbroath game on Tuesday and on the pitch in the warm up. Good to see him back.

Two points dropped rather than a point gained today. We were by far the better team and should have won comfortably but we did not take our chances. The woodwork cost us twice whilst Welsh had a decent penalty saved and we were not troubled by the Thistle attack. It was a much better performance than Tuesday, which is positive, but we need to start scoring goals as that is our achilles heal at present. That said, I’m feeling positive about the season again after seeing us outplay one of our play off rivals. We have only taken 9 points out of our last 21 so need to get back to winning ways, but despite that we remain second and are 6 points ahead of Partick in fifth.

Much better than Tuesday so far and we should be ahead. Walsh and Gardyne have both had efforts come off the woodwork. Having Allardice back in midfield seems to be helping us win the second balls and retain possession better. We’ve had some decent quick breaks particularly through Walsh. A big 45 ahead.

That one way system has been in place all season but I’m not sure how well it has been adhered to or enforced by the stewards.

Not a caption entry but just as we are wobbling and struggling for form, they’ve won 5-0 away from home. I hope our glee at their misery does not come back and bite us.

He was injured at the start of the season so may well not be fully fit. He may be one with the “niggles” referred to by Dodds.

You got your wish tonight!

We got what we deserved tonight and it’s been coming as we’ve been struggling for a while now. That’s 8 points out of the last 18 which is mid table performance, so we need to cure this and fast. Yes the conditions were poor, but we were at home so should have been able to master them better than Arbroath. Yes the referee allowed acting and time wasting but the defeat was solely down to our poor performance and inability to create or take chances. Hopefully it is the kick up the backside we need to start getting positive results again before we slip further down the table. I’m also struggling with the MOM as no one rose above mediocrity. Ridgers would have been my pick for a couple of decent saves but I felt he was caught out at the goal. I may abstain this time round. As for the comments above about Carson, the poor lad has just lost his father. The club and fans need to show him support at a difficult time, as Mckay did when he raised Carson’s shirt when he scored against Morton. Now is not the time for gossip and rumours.
