If that is true, it is a major concern. Not only is it bad for Roddy and the club, but what message does it give to our other young players about how they will be treated. Guys like Hyde and Nicolson have looked promising when they have had game time, and we need to be nurturing our youngsters to be increasingly involved and hopefully at some time to bring in income from transfer fees. Hopefully we have more Christies and Mackays in the pipeline.

It is undoubtedly a major concern, certainly the last five and a bit months. At the end of September we had 19 points from 7 games. Now we have 40 points from 28 games, so 21 points in 21 games since the start of October. And we all know the last three months have been disastrous with only 6 points from 11 games. Oh, to add insult to injury, County are now in the top six and only one point off a European place. It is scary how far we have fallen since being almost permanently in the top league and consistently doing well in the cup competitions. I don’t think the feedback on here has been this poor for a long time, even in the relegation season under Foran. I can only think of four games when we have done well. The 3-1 win over Partick (second half only), the wins against Kilmarnock and the demolition of Morton. Even those games feel a lifetime ago now. We can’t use injuries or Covid as an excuse. We just don’t have a game plan any more, players have lost confidence and the management team can’t turn it round. Roll on the end of the season! CTO Player of the Month
Really highlights how much we are missing Allardice and MacGregor. They’ve missed a lot of games but still amongst our top performers in the eyes of the fans.

Just looked at the BBC stats. They say we had 19 attempts but 1 on target. Next week they have to focus on shooting practice as that is a shocking statistic and highlights what we need to do. We also need to find ways of giving Mckay chances. I think he only had one attempt all night. Dodds says the second half performance was excellent……

A season that promised so much is petering out badly. Chances are we will end up on the bottom half of the table. This was our real chance to gain promotion but we have blown it big style. We have decent players we are not getting the best out of. At times we dominate games, including most of the second half tonight, but we can’t score when on top and we end up chasing games. 11 without a win, with the league leaders next, says it all. I’m not one to call for the heads of Managers, but something has to change or next season could be very painful. 8 games left for Dodds & co to prove us all wrong. Can they?

Will take 0-0 at half time. Partick started and finished the half on top. We did well in the middle part. Welsh is the only player trying to take it down and create. Otherwise it is mainly hopeful long balls. Samuels has had out best chances but Partick have created the better opportunities and with one off the post and one cleared by Carson under the bar they will feel they should be ahead. At least we are level and in with a chance!

That would be good news. He created their first two goals. I’m approaching this in hope rather than expectation or confidence, but I agree with others that this is in the “must win” category. If we have most players available, with the exception of Allardice and MacGregor, I wonder how we will line up. Potentially a lot of options, but if all the others are available and fully fit, I’d go with: Ridgers Duffy Broadfoot Devine Deas Carson Welsh Pearson Doran Chalmers Mckay

Our play off match with Ukraine has been postponed. Undoubtedly the correct decision. Russia is appealing the FIFA decision to exclude them, but the IPC have thankfully revisited yesterday’s fudge and kicked out the Russian athletes.

At last FIFA has confirmed that Russia will be excluded from the play offs with Poland getting a bye to the final. They are also being kicked out of the Women’s tournament this summer and their one remaining club in Europe is being kicked out too. Hopefully actions like this, along with the sanctions, make the normal Russian people realise the mistruths they are told by their media and pressure starts to build within Russia on Putin.

According to the BBC, FIFA has told Russia to play upcoming games in neutral territory under the name Football Union of Russia, without their flag or anthem. That’s shocking and needs to be changed to a ban, otherwise Russia will qualify for the World Cup given the stance rightly taken by Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic to refuse to play Russia in the play offs.
