  1. Well that was a tough watch, but job done, however unconvincingly! However it did take Denmark 85 minutes to score in Torshavn….
  2. Sorry Kingsmills, I was right to be wary! And that was before I heard that they’ve won 8 of their last 20 home matches. We have been second best in the first half and are very lucky not to be behind with Craig Gordon and poor finishing to thank. We’ve not managed to break them down and create anything of note whilst we’ve struggled when the Faroes have counter attacked with pace. Like Saturday we need a much better second half!
  3. No, just been around long enough to know how we can self destruct!
  4. HT 1-0 FT 2-0 ICT Mckay Morton Oliver Crowd 1916
  5. Just as long as we don’t mess it all up tomorrow against the Faroes or next month in Moldova!
  6. Ticket and PPV information out nice and early: https://ictfc.com/next-match-greenock-morton-h After the disappointing performance and result at Hamilton, hopefully we get back to winning ways. I’d like to see Mckay start given Duku has failed to score in eight league starts so far.
  7. Two for Rory McAllister for Cove yesterday. In the Highland League, I only noticed Aiden Wilson (2) and Jack Brown scoring for Rothes.
  8. The club’s report: https://ictfc.com/match-report-elgin-city-2-4-ictfc
  9. I didn’t see the game. What has gone wrong defensively? The back four were the players who were our defence for much of last season, particularly Devine and Deas who had developed a good partnership. I see Harper and Devine were taken off during the second half: did that reflect their performances? Any word on Carson’s injury?
  10. I see no reason why we can’t win both games and secure a final place.
  11. Mckay needs to be given a starting place against Morton next week. He knows how to score and that’s what we need to keep our league campaign on track. He and Sutherland could be the combination for us.
  12. Today’s line up. Only four subs: https://mobile.twitter.com/ICTFC/status/1446810578882859009/photo/1
  13. A few in the Highland League on Wednesday: Harry Hennem for Brora after coming off the bench Lewis MacKinnon for Buckie Aiden Wilson for Rothes Kane Davies for Strathspey
  14. Preview for tomorrow’s game: https://ictfc.com/match-preview-elgin-city-a It sounds like we have a few players with injuries given the comments. Presumably players like MacKay, McAlear, McDonald, Jamieson and Mckay will start.
  15. Dodds: https://ictfc.com/post-match-billy-dodds-hamilton-accies-2-1-ictfc-02-10-2021
  16. A hattrick for Rory McAllister for Cove today and one for Jason Brown for Peterhead in their rout of Dumbarton (who I’d backed for an away win in the Betting Forum). Scott Boden scored for Borehamwood from the spot.
  17. I’ve been saying for a few weeks that I’d like to see Mckay and Sutherland together. They got the second half today but I’d start them both at Elgin to see if they can form a partnership with a view to them starting against Morton in a fortnight. Duku is a menace and works hard, but we are not getting the goals we need, so time to change things. I also think we missed Devine today. A word about the referee today. He was too card happy, self inflicted by punishing the first dodgy tackle. According to the BBC stats, there were 21 fouls, but somehow he booked 7 players and sent 1 off, which did not reflect the nature of the match. I think Duku was subbed at half time due to the high risk he would get penalised again and sent off.
  18. Disappointing performance and result. In the first half, the early goal rocked us and gave Hamilton confidence, then they got their second with a good finish. Once they went two ahead and down to 10 men, they packed their defence and we struggled to break them down, although their defenders had a lot of last ditch defending and blocks. However, other than Harper hitting the bar and chances for Sutherland and Welsh, I’m struggling to recall many clear cut opportunities. Gardyne deserved his goal as he was our most dangerous player, and linked up well with Harper on the left. We need to be more potent as we are not scoring enough goals and our league position flatters us on recent performances. Worryingly we have beaten the teams in 2nd to 7th and dropped points against 2 of the bottom 3, with the other team in the bottom 3 to come next. It just highlights how any team can beat any team in this league so we need to be on our game every week. Still, despite today’s disappointment, before the season started we’d all have taken being 3 points ahead at the top after 8 games!
  19. Consolation goal by Gardyne. We’ve bossed the second half but struggled to break them down. Good effort. In the 92nd minute.
  20. McDonald on for Duffy. Allardice at right back now it looks like.
  21. Only positive from the first half is that Killie are also losing. Can we do what we did against Partick and turn things round in the second half? We will need to play much better to do that. Hamilton have not been particularly good which makes it worse that we are 2 behind.
  22. OK, we will score 3!! Not convinced on what I’ve seen so far though.
